Anyone else going to be trying for a baby in April?

My husband is away for 3 weeks in March and when he gets back we plan to catch as soon as possible. We already have 2 babies and have never had issues conceiving in the past.

I have a coil at the moment which I will have taken out while he is away.

Getting excited about it now! Our third and final baby.

I work as a home carer on zero contract hours so I am going to have to hide the pregnancy until the 25th week. My work uniform is quite baggy and I will just make sure I wear a jumper when I go in and see them in the office.

I am hoping they won't outright ask me anyway, just praying I can keep it a secret!

Would love to connect with other mums in a similar boat!

That is my thoughts Mrs!! Great minds ....

purplepingu · 21/02/2014 22:06

I want to join in! My wedding is April 5th and then we will be TTC for the next three months (work commitments basically mean we've got three months to see if it works).

Got a lovely two weeks honeymoon where I will be ovulating smack in the middle!

Witchesbrewandbiscuits · 21/02/2014 22:36

hi can I join too? got 1 ds and hoping to ttc in may following 2 mc's. sorry to hear some of you have also been through it. wishing us all lots of luck Smile

MrsBryan · 21/02/2014 22:42

Yay! I am glad there are so many of us going for it together!

Purple how nice to hear about the wedding, We married three years ago in April which was just a lovely day, no big wedding and no big honey moon but then... I was already pregnant!

Hello! May I join?

We started half-arsed trying last year, but DS2 was dx with leukaemia in July which put a stop to that. He's doing really well on treatment and as I am 39 in 2 weeks we can't wait much longer. I'm definitely trying to go for "if it happens it happens" but I know the 2 week wait will still have me obsessing.

MrsBryan · 22/02/2014 00:42

Welcome twunk!

its so nice to have a group like this to chat even though not ttc just yet as it still consumes all my thinking time. not too long to wait now though.

Witchesbrewandbiscuits · 22/02/2014 10:38

glad your ds is responding well to treatment twunk.

MrsGingerbread · 22/02/2014 12:14

Hello!

I only joined today, but lovely to see so many nice people on here - very supportive.

We will be trying in the spring too, for baby number one. Exciting but scary at the same time :)

In the meantime trying to eat healthily and lose a bit of weight (and try and work out how to break the news to our cats - it will be a big shock to them!!)

MyriadOfMiracles · 22/02/2014 13:50

witches it consumes all of me! Nothing more consuming than being broody! Hi gimgerbread... I am sure your cats will adapt! Mine didnt but he was a moody swine haha

Twunk · 22/02/2014 15:35

I have 2 sons but have been pregnant 5 times (3 m/cs before DS1) - first 4 pregnancies the dog knew before me! He would shit on the carpet Confused (previously well trained).

Thankfully by the 5th pregnancy he had clearly got used to it Wink

MrsApps3 · 22/02/2014 21:10

Hi, we are also going to start TTC for no.3 from April / May time.
I currently have 2 DSs, 4yrs and 2yrs. We are just waiting a couple of months as I really don't want a Christmas baby as my ds1 is one (23rd dec) and I feel he already has to share his birthday with all the Christmas excitement I don't want another child to have to as well as it would be a shame for them and my DS1! My husband thinks I'm a bit loopy and that it would be fine, but is happy to wait a couple of months.
Good luck to everyone!

Witchesbrewandbiscuits · 22/02/2014 21:57

no myriad there isnt. especially when you've had a long wait and losses in between. feeling positive though.

not a bad thing at all to be eating healthy etc. I have been doing the same. best to prepare as much as poss.

my friend has had a baby today. so beautiful. makes me even more broody if that's possible Wink

MyriadOfMiracles · 22/02/2014 22:07

Sorry to hear about your losses witches sending lots of baby dust your way!
I am going to start the vitamins once again - also starting the 5:2 monday to lose last stone of baby weight - i gained. 5 stone with dd hahsha! (I was very, very thin prior to concieving though!)
Mmm maybe there is little point in dieting now though!? If I do start ttc in April ...

MyriadOfMiracles · 22/02/2014 22:09

mrsapps i think its lovely, not loopy! You are being very thoughtful for your future bubba and ds... Lovely indeed!

Witchesbrewandbiscuits · 22/02/2014 22:39

yeah I have started the vitamins too. seems a bit more real now, its like pre ttc ha.

yes mrsapps I totally get where you are coming from. I always try and avoid the xmas window too. I think they come when they are meant to tho so I wouldnt worry too much. xmas in your house would be amazing.

Witchesbrewandbiscuits · 22/02/2014 22:41

btw dieting is ok if you can stick to it. im useless, no willpower.

purplepingu · 23/02/2014 10:03

MrsBryan, we're off to Mexico for two weeks. I think I'm more excited about that than the wedding!

purplepingu · 23/02/2014 10:05

Me and my fiancé have already started on the vitamins too, I've made him join in with the Wellman Conception. He used to smoke but quit a year ago so every little helps!

Witchesbrewandbiscuits · 23/02/2014 10:08

brilliant idea pingu. I forgot about those.

honeymoon will be amazing. room in your suitcase?

BearsInMotion · 23/02/2014 10:12

Hello :)

We are hoping for DC2, ttc from now! DD is 2, but I'm already an older mm, so convinced it won't be as easy this time round. In fact I've almost convinced myself it won't happen at all, but I'll never know unless we give it a try!

BearsInMotion · 23/02/2014 10:13

mm = mum!

MrsBryan · 23/02/2014 16:17

Mexico! Very jealous!
