Trying for DC2 and on my first cycle. Unexpectedly fell straight away with DD so sort if expect that now, but doubt I'll be so lucky. Been at it all weekend and should be ovulating around now.....hopefully (not using a kit - are they any good?). Anyways, any other impatient folk out there in similar boat?? What to do.....? I'm already exhausted with property porn!!

I'm doing all I can to stay positive but just not feeling like it's going to happen!
I hope you all get your BFP's soon, try not to het too down - I'm sure it'll happen when the time's right (she says trying to convince herself to stay positive)

Cineraria · 20/02/2014 22:48

We're each trying to persuade the others there's a good chance whilst doubting our own chances ElleOhElle. I wish it were easier to forget about the whole thing for two weeks and just find out one way or another.

livingthegoodlife · 21/02/2014 13:34

im feeling better today. still no chance - another BFN and AF due at the weekend. but ii think i have just resigned myself to it. never mind.

not sure what we are doing about trying, hubby is adamant he doesn't want nov/dec/jan baby which means we wont be ttcing until may! seems ages away. plus he started going on about 'why do we need another' etc he says he wants another/will love it etc but i dont htink his whole heart is in it.

how is everyone else feeling? anyone onto a dead cert?

EmilyPinkOrBlue · 21/02/2014 13:46

Don't give up hope living!! Be positive :)

Cineraria · 21/02/2014 14:16

Glad you're feeling better livingthegoodlife. There is still a good chance but it's always better to keep expectations down and then any good news comes as a nice surprise.

I was waiting nearly 3 months before we started trying. We'd just bought a house and moved in to it properly during October so we had enough room for a family but after discussing it for a couple of weeks, I felt we should get married first and that took about 8 weeks to organise and take place and then I was waiting a couple more weeks for the right time in my cycle. I felt really impatient during that time but printed out three months of calendar sheets and wrote everything I could think of to do beforehand on them to prepare for it, even small things like healthy foods I was going to eat each week, when I'd start taking conception vitamins, doing a bit more exercise each week, as well as the appointment to remove my coil and also tracking my BBT to find out more about my cycle, so I felt I was working towards it even while I was waiting.

I'm CD30/13DPO now and still no AF still but all tests are negative. My average cycle is 27 days but can be anywhere between 25 and 30, so I'm not too puzzled yet, although this would already be my longest ever luteal period.

ElleOhElle · 22/02/2014 21:12

any news cineraria? how's everyone doing?

livingthegoodlife · 22/02/2014 21:25

im feeling positive although still convinced im out. think i will aim for a late nov baby next and then take a break... so feeling happier

ive had a lovely weekend out with my little family, just lovely.

anyone else tested yet? im not testing until monday now (unless af shows)

ElleOhElle · 22/02/2014 21:53

glad to hear you're feeling positive! good luck for Monday!
I'm pretty sure I'm out - no signs and feeling ratty today so probably pmt Sad would really love to get a positive so feeling on a bit of a downer - I was going to test Monday but might try and stick it out!

livingthegoodlife · 23/02/2014 03:00

elle, that is exactly how i feel - on a bit of a downer because convinced bfn. im testing monday so you could join me?

urterriblemuriel · 23/02/2014 07:37

Morning!

Sorry to hear that Zermatt, just focus on the good things that you can do now not pregnant.

Hope you're ok living, was it this weekend you're normally due? Let us know how you get on tmrw.

Ooh, cineraria it does sound a little odd that it's gone this long between AF's doesn't it?!

I stopped using those cheap tests as I found I kept walking up very early to test and then I couldn't go back to sleep, so was tired all the time. I think for me it works better to test after AF is missed. I'm due anytime from last Friday to Tuesday, with Sunday being the most common day. So, will see if anything happens today.

I'm now convinced I'm not as many symptoms have subsided, and I've a nasty feeling that Mother Nature gave me a bug that just had a lot of the same things as early pregnancy that happened to go on for a good week. I've still got indigestion / bunged up other end but that's it. So will see what happens, but if it's a BFN or AF shows I'll have a super fun weekend to look forward to and it's more £ saved towards house as mat leave will start later :)

I forgot to ask, when you DTD a lot, do you find it affects things like cramps, length of cycle etc?

OP posts:
ElleOhElle · 23/02/2014 08:48

livingthegoodlife, I could test Monday - if I'm expecting a BFN I guess it can't hurt!! Will let u know what I decide

Cineraria · 23/02/2014 10:46

Glad you're going to try another month Livingthegoodlife if you're not lucky this time but better still hope it will be good news for both you and ElleOhElle on Monday if you both test then.

Sorry to hear you've not been feeling well Urterriblemuriel. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you until Tuesday. I think I as getting so excited and nervous about waiting that I upset my digestive system and kept wondering if it meant one thing or another.

I always found that my cycle was shorter when DTD a lot but that was when I had my coil in and I'm starting to think that it was bringing AF forward anyway as all the symptoms of AF (cramps, drop in temp and getting rid of fluid retention) started a few days after the bleeding but now I am in my first month without it all of the other symptoms came a few days before the bleeding. Probably DTD a lot just increased how much it came forward and maybe it wouldn't be the same now. DTD a lot in advance doesn't make a difference to pain , for me anyway, but at the time they occur, I think it is definitely the best pain relief for cramps.

livingthegoodlife · 23/02/2014 13:17

oops i gave in and tested today. af is due today but she hasnt showed (yet) but the test was a stark white BFN. what a surprise. not.

my cycles have never been that reliable since i had my last baby so who knows when im due, if it was going to be bfp then i think it would show today. so im out.

urterriblemuriel hope the symptoms are early preg and not illness!

good testing over the next few days, i will def check back in here even when af shows.

Zermatt · 23/02/2014 13:43

Just popped in to see how everyone is doing, sorry to hear your on the March bus Cineraria was keeping my FX for you. Hope you're indulging in some of your favourite coffees and a few drinks this weekend. X

ElleOhElle · 23/02/2014 13:47

ahhh - sorry to hear that livingthegoodlife, good luck next time x- I think I'm out too - very irritable today AF due thurs but think might come early.

Cineraria · 23/02/2014 14:43

You still never know Livingthegoodlife and ElleOhElle; you could still be in with a chance. I hope so but if not, I hope AF doesn't keep you waiting long and then maybe next month's the lucky one. My friend's youngest is a November baby and she is probably the nicest child I know, so that's quite irrationally making me think a November one would be no bad thing!

The coffee was soooo good this morning Zermatt - a lovely big espresso. Really worth waiting for! I have to say that although I enjoyed it, I was surprised at how strong it is and really had to sip it. Also, got surprisingly tipsy on the best part of a box of Marks & Spencer Cherry Liqueur chocolates last night. I can't believe how much alcohol is in those. I really hope they are an age restricted item! Now I'm hyperactively scheduling this month's "business meetings"! I bought some evening primrose oil too, so thanks for the suggestion. Wishing you luck too!

ElleOhElle · 23/02/2014 19:13

thanks cineraria! Will try to stay positive - hope you get a BFP soon

livingthegoodlife · 23/02/2014 20:20

evening girls, i have bought a new brand of test for tomorrow. im hoping change of test means change of luck! ha ha. i think im hoping for a miracle!

bought more folic acid today too. hope everyone is taking it!

good luck for next week.

Zermatt · 24/02/2014 00:34

With the evening primrose oil, only take it from AF until ovulation, as it can cause uterine cramps, so not good if you take it after ov

Cineraria · 24/02/2014 08:02

Thanks Zermatt, the link you put in one of your other posts was helpful too. I just got an email that it's being delivered today so well start taking it right away. How much do you take daily? There was a range rather than an exact number suggested on the website.

Any more news, livingthegoodlife?

Zermatt · 24/02/2014 08:24

Phew, glad you saw that, didn't want to be giving out bad advice. I've been taking 3 a day with each meal, think that's 1000mg? Also started on a prenatal vitamin black mores conceive gold, and a omega 3 supplement.

Am also cutting out artificial sweetener, cutting caffeine and booze intake and eating more fruit and veg and knocking back water like there's no tomorrow. Oh an preseed is ordered and in the post. Here's to March!

ElleOhElle · 24/02/2014 08:33

To test or not to test?? All sorts of funny feelings today but can't help but think AF is coming early!

livingthegoodlife · 24/02/2014 08:48

BFP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i am in such shock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cineraria · 24/02/2014 08:50

That's good to know. I was thinking of 1000 or 1500 being about right.

I'm taking pregnacare conception as a vitamin & mineral supplement and also an omega 3 (really hard finding a veggie omega 3 that has EPA & DHA like the fish ones do). I think my diet was ok last month so sticking to the same thing this time.

Good luck!
