Hi everyone, I'm taking a plunge and starting our folicking March bus off to a start.

OP posts:

Is it safe to drink wine during the TWW? I'm 7dpo and am craving some wine after a horrible day at work. Googling didn't give much advice - mostly anti-alcohol advocacy groups and very little info from proper medical sites. I daren't drink a sip till I know for sure it's safe.

mama31 · 26/02/2014 18:37

Sara, just checking in now and seeing your news. So hope it's nothing to worry about. I know I'd probably test a thousand times tonight but as I said before always do the opposite to what I do....as I am bonkers with ttc! so an early night and test tomorrow with fmu sounds like a sensible plan. So hoping it works out for you, prayers sent your way x

Aenor it is a personal choice, I would drink wine as I feel life can't be put on hold until a bfp comes. Life is for living and I believe in living it to the full until a bfp is there and then I'd have no problem not drinking. Others prefer not to drink at all.

So absolutely no spotting today, just a bit of wet cm and if there was spotting this would have been tinged pink/red/brown but it is completely clear with a few tiny specs of white. Relieved it's stopped and given that it usually starts at 9 or 10dpo it feels weird that it's stopped at 10dpo. Still not getting hopes up as I do think it's the vitex doing its job...nice work vitex!!!! maybe next cycle I could have no spotting....oh and a bfp!

Treaclepie19 · 26/02/2014 18:47

Eek Mama, sounds good :)
I hope there is a better reason than the vitex :)

mama31 · 26/02/2014 18:47

Oh and to make things worse I'm totally (stupidly) symptom spotting today! Someone stop me! I am so starving, I just ate a huge dinner and my mouth is watering as if I'm hungry...this happened after I ate my lunch as well. I also feel like I have excessive saliva! Has anyone ever had this....im have to swallow continuously...quite annoying, I'm sure it's not related to anything but is definately making me notice it is happening.

Now that I've shared, please stop me from symptom spotting any further as it becomes soul destroying...

Choccywoccydodah · 26/02/2014 18:52

(Slaps mama) Grin
Fingers crossed tightly for you my lovely!!

Poly yes the darkest line (the first day) is a positive, the next day is ov and days after are dpo so if you got one yesterday, today is ov day and tomorrow is 1dpo Grin

Still waiting for my line here cd15 (I haven't tested today yet though).

gennibugs · 26/02/2014 18:58

I'm symptom spotting too. I've felt sick all day and really tired. My boobs hurt too.

I know rationally that these probably just AF symptoms or the fact that my trousers are feeling to tight so making me feel nauseous but it doesn't stop me from hoping. I almost just want AF to come along if it is so I can start thinking about next cycle and hoping it's the one!

SaRaRaRaRa · 26/02/2014 18:58

mama that does all sound positive. Everything crossed that it will be your month but worst case then vitex seems to be helping your cycle length which is fab too!

Treaclepie19 · 26/02/2014 18:58

Cycle day 6, let the countdown to ovulation begin! Wooo! :)

I shall be POAS daily once again :) (OPK's I mean)
DH says POAS is my new favourite hobby...

EnglishGirlAbroad · 26/02/2014 19:01

It sounds promising Mama!! Fingers crossed for you!!

I'm only cd8 and already bored of waiting!! Always waiting! Lol!! Started dtd cd6 and gonna give it a good go, every day (except fri as dh is away) until cd20+!! My poor lady bits Shock

mama31 · 26/02/2014 19:02

Gennibugs what dpo are you? I have very slight sore boobs, they would usually be very sore before af but could get more so over the next couple of days if I'm getting a longer cycle.

I can't stop eating....just delving in to a peice of cheesecake now! what a fatty!

mama31 · 26/02/2014 19:03

Wow English! That's fighting talk....poor lady bits indeed....we ended up doing about 6 or 7 days in a row but the last 2 for me I was like a sack of potatoes.... haha!

gennibugs · 26/02/2014 19:04

I'm 13/14dpo. I know I should test but I almost don't want to know. It's stupid isn't it. By not testing I can hope....

cheesecake - yum! Now I want cheesecake :)

lindamagoo · 26/02/2014 19:05

aenor I'll still be having my cheeky wee glass of wine on a Sat night until my bfp... Which I doubt I'll get this month with just stopping the pill but I can live in hope til the witch arrives...

gennibugs · 26/02/2014 19:05

Sack of potatoes mwahahaha. English - good effort!!

EmilyPinkOrBlue · 26/02/2014 19:14

Hi everyone! I've just fallen off the feb bus few spots when wiped earlier so know I am out. Looking forward to a successful march!! But in the meantime I have to drug myself up ready for major af cramps!!

SaRaRaRaRa · 26/02/2014 19:31

Ha ha English I started dtd cd7 this cycle too, after about 3 days said to DH that we'd start later next cycle Grin Managed 5 days then day off, then 5 again. Good luck Wink

Welcome Emily. Sorry AF got you. Wine helps with cramps too!

RetroHippy · 26/02/2014 19:31

Day 6 and no positive OPK yet, so it's looking like I might have a vaguely 'normal' cycle this month!

DH took the chat yesterday seriously and we DTD yesterday. We'll see how seriously he takes it when we go to bed tonight! Not too worried about missing it just yet...

I did realise that DH is away from the 17th to the 20th. That gives me a good reason to wait to POAS. If AF hasn't arrived by the time he gets back we can do it together Grin! And that will make me wait till CD 28... DH can pick up the test on his way home!

Mama, I so hope this is your month. And if not then it sounds like the Vitex is doing it's job ready for next cycle. Crossing fingers, toes, eyes but not legs!for you Smile

RetroHippy · 26/02/2014 19:34

Oh, and the poster who asked about Wine... I strongly believe booze is necessary for conception! Go for it Wink

Gingerbreadlady1 · 26/02/2014 19:47

Think alcohol is directly responsible for many babies! Go for it, plenty of time to be good when bfp comes...

RetroHippy · 26/02/2014 19:47

Ah, musketeers...

If nothing else it'll get the old loins warmed up Wink

Trying to persuade DH to cultivate his facial hair into a pointy beard and twirly 'tache.

mama31 · 26/02/2014 19:59

Genni! When is af due?? How have you not poas already! I wish I were like you.... I need some willpower, but I got none, so I just gotta keep being crazy!

Sorry Emily! Your very welcome here though on this crazy bus.....and it is very crazy! We talk dragons, green sheets and pomegranates for fertility.....it makes no sense at all but has been a giggle!

Lol retro!

mama31 · 26/02/2014 20:01

Agreed re the alcohol....theres gona be 9 months without alcohol so best make the most of it now ;) in moderation of course!

aenor · 26/02/2014 20:10

mama31 and lindamagoo - thanks for the reassurance. I might have that glass of wine :)

From everything I read it's only a problem once you start passing blood to the baby, but very hard to find out from Google when that happens. I think that at the moment, the bean if it exists is just a bunch of cells dividing.

mama31 · 26/02/2014 20:13

DH got some good news re work today, I bought him a bottle of Prosecco...if he opens it when he gets home there's no doubt I'll be having a glass!

SaRaRaRaRa · 26/02/2014 20:19

Aaargh, I couldn't wait til tmrw so I POAS using a clearblue test I found, must have come with my OPKs. It was a definite positive. But I literally just went to the loo again and have red blood Sad Wish I hadn't done the test now as it gave me hope. So I guess I'm cd 1 tomorrow? New stats: TTC #2, cycle 4, BFP due 27 March.

Bahhhhh!

Enjoy your prosecco ladies x
