Hi hibou it took a good 6months of bfn for my dp to take it seriously. He's great now. I think a lot of men just assume there will be no problems so are very laid back about it all.

How long you been ttc?

SurreyBunny · 05/02/2014 18:42

Hey Hibou7688 I've also tried explaining it all to DH but I don't think it's going in so I've resorted to just telling him 'right tonight is a sex night' in the morning so he's well prepared. Not exactly sexy but I've learnt (for my DH at least) that if I'm not direct I don't get what I want so this works out best all round Smile

Hibou7688 · 05/02/2014 18:49

So glad I'm not the only one!! We'll in my head I've been ttc since about nov! But really, the only steps we've taken is me coming off the pill and I was using opks to try and track it.

My period was a bit later than normal last month and he said 'maybe you're pregnant', I said no as I'd tested and he was really shocked that I'd tested without him knowing! Maybe I'll mention tonight that I don't think he takes it seriously. :/

gennibugs · 05/02/2014 19:00

My DH was very relaxed at first. After no luck last month and seeing how upset I was he went out and bought the clear blue opks himself!

I think he's now 100% ready to be a dad too. So I think it takes them longer to realise that it's not actually as simple as we are all led to believe growing up and that a little planning and obsessing is required!!

RetroHippy · 05/02/2014 19:18

Hi all!

RetroHippy TTC #1 Cycle 3 BFP due 5th March.

I hereby solemnly swear not to test before 6th March. That way madness lies!

We're poas buddies retro, that's feb and march matching poas dates (although neither of us stuck to feb date).

Must. Try. Harder.

Nordicmom · 05/02/2014 20:50

I'll get on . Stats are Nordicmom ttc 3 cycle 4 BFP 1./2.3.

1974rach · 05/02/2014 20:58

hello fellow mums to be!!!

ttc#1, cycle 3, bfp due 6th March

broodysnoopstie · 05/02/2014 21:03

forgot to say bfp due 10th March

bellaboo88 · 05/02/2014 22:50

Right then..doing the math

Bellaboo88 ttc#1, cycle#2 bfp 4th march (or 9th)

I'll go with 4th!

Agreed, this poas every day is far too stressful, I'm not ordering any, I've got one in the drawer that I'm not going to use unless I'm having some major symptoms or missing AF!!

Thought about opks/temping but it would send me doolalley!

Wishing this month away now :-(

Realising my fella too feels pressured as he knows only time I demand it is fertile week....need to change it before he dreads performing on demand, it does suck any romance out of it! X

Tigsy · 06/02/2014 12:05

Can I board please? Been screwed around by AF this last week, but has properly arrived now. Only consolation is that we are off skiing next week, so I can now throw myself down as many mountains as I like and make full use of the all inclusive bar without worrying.

I'm TTC #1 Cycle 3 BFP due 6th March

PunkyPod · 06/02/2014 15:49

I'm getting impatient.... Mc at the start of January so no idea when AF will come along. The first time I had a mc my cycle was 6 weeks long and we conceived DD in that cycle. I used opks and they showed positive 4 weeks after the mc. I'm 4 weeks post mc tomorrow and no sign of a positive opk yet although I have noticed much more cm earlier this week although it all seems to have gone now. I want to catch an angel baby again.....

SaRaRaRaRa · 06/02/2014 18:46

Hi all, can I join please? Have been lurking for a few months but thought it would be good to join a bus!

This will be cycle 3, have been using cheap opks since November to try and track my cycles but my regular 28 day cycles have gone a bit to pot since we have been TTC Confused. So I have got a clearblue digital OPK for this month.

I'm TTC #2 Cycle 3 BFP due 2 March

Good luck all!

flirty30s · 06/02/2014 19:59

Gingerbreadlady I am wishing you tons of baby dust!

I really hope march is your month! I have so far stocked up on ovulation sticks, pregnacare tablets and pre seed and conceive plus lubricants. I have also been trying to drink more water and get my five a day. Booked a lil holiday around ovulation time too so we have nothing but sun, sea and sex to think about... Grin

Any other tips ladies please pass on??xo

SaRaRaRaRa · 06/02/2014 20:05

flirty30s good planning re the holiday, finding the time/energy to dtd at the right time is one of the hardest parts of TTC for me - life gets in the way! So it will be great to be on holiday at the crucial time Grin

Only tip I can think of (and it hasn't worked for me yet!) is to put your legs in the air for 30 mins after dtd. I'm sure others will have lots of good tips x

bilbob23 · 06/02/2014 20:29

Hi everyone, TTC#1 cycle#1, I'm opk testing when I remember! Only problem is I don't know how long my cycle are as this is my first proper cycle after coming off pill, if I go with a 28 cycle then I will be away with work over ovulation day-typical!! Fingers crossed that DTD every other day from this wknd will work! BFP should be March the 1st. Good luck everyone! Grin

MrsNutjob · 07/02/2014 12:35

Hibou I agree with the others - took my hubby an age to get into it, but he got there in the end and now excitedly kicks me out of bed to pee on my OPKs even when AF is here (I said he was into it, not that he understands it Grin )

Can I hop on the bus? I'm not sure I'll get a chance this month as DH will prob be overseas at the relevant time, but hey - seeing the rest of you get your BFPs will be good for the soul :)

TTC#1, Cycle um, not sure - been at it for 18 months but most of those Dh has been away. Let's say Cycle 7. BFP 7th March. Maybe. Although may require an immaculate conception.

Gingerbreadlady1 · 07/02/2014 12:38

Aww, thanks flirty good job on holiday, nice plan. Sounds like you've got everything under control!

Hi new passengers

bellaboo88 · 07/02/2014 12:54

OK so after my 'no opks/no testing before AF' plan to save heartache, I've got some cough medicine with the special cm ingredient....I get ewcm but need 'more' I think! Anyone take it? I'm gonna take it after AF has finished.

God I hate this waiting, you wait for AF to finish, wait for ov, 2week wait.....god only knows how pregnancy will be!!

Gingerbreadlady1 · 07/02/2014 14:52

What'd you get bella? I'm gonna get some too but don't know which to get?

Gingerbreadlady1 · 07/02/2014 16:04

It's okay, I found it, cheers!

bellaboo88 · 07/02/2014 19:32

'G' something....I can't remember, heard of venos but I got a standard brand from morribobs. Best taste alright!

Convinced I didn't ovulate last month, boobs didn't notice either & not as much ewcm as previous months huge glob.
