Hi,

Been lurking but need some moral support

AF turned up 5 days early last month :-( cycle normally around 42days and got exited that the spotting was implantation but next day AF turned up with a vengeance and got really upset.

Theoretically started trying last Sept but no AF until Dec, so fingers crossed ovulation happens regularly.. Stats

Fingerscrossed36 TTC #2 Cycle #2 BFP due 12th March ish

MrsExtraOrdinary · 24/02/2014 12:36

I'm sure she doesn't think that retro. I'm sorry that's just pants really isn't it. I hope she does lots of grovelling later!

3isourmagicnumber · 24/02/2014 12:49

Hi everyone hope your all good this morning. Just looked on another thread and saw someone got a BFP !!!!!! Yeah I felt quite emotional. It's the first one I have saw (not been on here long).
Well ovulation is over for me so no more can be done. Just a waiting game now. Def not gonna stress though first month ttc#3 so early days.
Changing the subject will any of u be watching one born every minute starting tonight. I absolutely love this programme so can't wait. Xx

PolytheneGirl · 24/02/2014 13:03

Good afternoon ladies. Just a slight warning, the drunk fumble plan combined with the koala plan should be approached with great caution! NUDP was hilarious and probably quite ineffective last night!!

PolytheneGirl · 24/02/2014 13:05

Retro - how bloody annoying! I'd be fuming and on my way home by now!

3 - I'll be watching obem tonight for a good old cry! I'm not sure if it will help or make things worse but hey-ho!

mama31 · 24/02/2014 13:17

Poly! Haha! I can only imagine!!! Good work though!

3 yes I'll be watching....and ill probably feel worse for watching it...but can't help it, it's a must see!!!!

RetroHippy · 24/02/2014 13:37

polythene, I did go home. And I felt really guilty! Got a stinking headache now from being grumpy and hungry! Had a little cry when I got home, could have really done with a nice chat with someone IRL. You lot are lovely, but you know what I mean. Sad I've not got many local friends, might have to arrange a long distance coffee and cake trip later this week.

Still, the sun is out, so my dog walk will be pleasant at least.

gennibugs · 24/02/2014 13:39

I'll record it to watch when DH is out - so I can have a good old teary sniffly watch. Blush

poly you made me laugh - I can imagine - my NUDP is haphazard at the best of times - let alone when tipsy!!

SaRaRaRaRa · 24/02/2014 13:50

Ha ha poly, that sounds like a good effort.

Genni, sorry you are feeling like AF is on the way. Fx not. When are you due, Saturday? I am REALLY REALLY tempted to POAS this week, I might as dh to hide the tests from me.

Retro, hope you have a lovely afternoon in the sunshine and feel a bit better. Hope your SIL is suitably apologetic too!

PolytheneGirl · 24/02/2014 13:58

Ikwym Retro. I actually told my first RL friend that we're ttc on Friday. It's just been between DH, myself and mn until now, and I felt much better after a good chat. I think you should def arrange that long distance coffee. It will be well worth it x

RetroHippy · 24/02/2014 14:08

Done! Looking forward to it.

And got in touch with SIL. Not excused, but we're meeting for a coffee (attempt no 2) later on as by the sounds of it we could both do with it.

I'm an emotional mess!

EnglishGirlAbroad · 24/02/2014 14:25

Thanks for the OBEM heads up!! Def going to watch it, love it! Even if it does make me really Envy!!
Some of our friends in UK had their first little boy on saturday.... cant wait to go back for a cuddle!! He's so cute!!

Sorry you've had a rotten morning Retro, but hopefully the dog walk and coffee later will help you feel a little bit more upbeat!!

I've got a friend coming to stay on thursday, cant wait for a RL friend to chat to!

S4renity · 24/02/2014 14:41

No diary, as of yet (I need guidance for this). I've never taken the conception path before & have no idea what all of the acronyms mean.
It's all a bit if a foreign language & I need an idiots guide ??

RetroHippy · 24/02/2014 14:50

Ooh, Barmy will be finished soon (haha, of course I mean the children will have gone home), I wonder how she got on?

, you'll pick the acronyms up soon. The key ones are ttc = trying to conceive, DTD = doing the deed, or shagging. No baby dancing here please! Tww = two week wait, otherwise known as the agonising time between ovulating and being able to POAS. Which brings me nicely to POAS = pee on a stick, be it an OPK (ovulation predictor kit) or an hpt (home pregnancy test).

And please feel free to release the crazy. This ttc lark gets to you after a few days while.

Wilhelminanevillesdottir · 24/02/2014 15:18

Poly what is the koala plan??

S4renity don't worry, I don't have a clue what I'm doing either. We can learn together.

I thought AF might arrive today but no sign yet. Which is annoying because now I'm starting to get hopeful even though I feel totally pre-menstrual and it probably isn't even due today. Sigh. Have been out buying baby clothes as gifts today too which has made me mega broody. But we're being positive so I guess as long as AF stays away, still in with a chance. (Mini pom-pom shake).

bellaboo88 · 24/02/2014 15:23

Yeah the crazy happens no matter what lol!! Download a free period calendar, there's lots of them like fertility friend, period diary etc....you can make notes on them & with a few cycles, they start getting your ovulation predictions on time.

My weird ovulation pains from sat night/all yesterday are still showing up, never heard of them being this long surely?? Like a funny period pain? X

Choccywoccydodah · 24/02/2014 15:47

Hi ladies sorry for self centred post.

So I've just come out of clinic with Prof Quenby (aka the nutty professor) omg she is hilarious!!!
Anyway, she's given me a prescription for progesterone pesseries to insert twice daily from cd21-28 (great timing as I'm cd13 today), and I'm currently waiting for bloods.

She said she can see no problem with me from my bloods (said taking my baby aspirin wouldn't have affected results), just a case of keeping a pregnancy.

She also said my progesterone isn't a massive problem but it's not massively high, and due to my spotting from 7/8dpo she's prescribed the progesterone.
(Mama I thought of you here, may be worth asking about these)
She's told me to keep it up for 3 months then they'll do further tests if needs be.
But she also said see you at 6 weeks for your first scan in a few weeks!!
It was soooo good to come out of an appointment feeling positive!!

She did say however that maybe it won't happen the first month, but she is certainly positive for over the next 3 months. GrinGrin

Starbright24 · 24/02/2014 15:58

Hi all. I'm new here but read a lot of the posts. Just beginning the 2ww and lovely to find people going through the same things to talk to.
Been cramping loads over last 2 days. Thinking it's ovulation cramps which means all the timings are looking positive for march. Fx

EnglishGirlAbroad · 24/02/2014 16:12

Oh Choccy I'm so glad you had such a positive appointment!! Sounds good!! Lets hope you get another bfp this cycle and that the pessaries help.... What happens after cd 28? Should your body kick in then?? or is that enough progesterone to get you started. Really chuffed for you!! Grin

RetroHippy · 24/02/2014 16:19

Choccy, that sounds really positive! Feeding the happy vibes on here. The nutty proffessor sounds brilliant, just the kind of person you need to buoy you up.

Fx for your bfp soon!

RetroHippy · 24/02/2014 16:25

Forgot to update re: my day 3 bloods. They took the sample and I was concentrating so hard on being brave that I got half way out of the hospital before realising I didn't know how or when I'd get my results!

Anyway, got to call the GP for them and they should have them in the next couple of days. Part of me is hoping they find nothing ( though then why are my cycles so irregular?) and part of me is hoping they find something so I can start to think about treatment. And I then also haven't been making a fuss about nothing.

Still going for SMEP this month! Told DH he needs to start instigating sex so I don't feel like some sex starved nutter Grin

Wilhelminanevillesdottir · 24/02/2014 16:31

Great news choccy that sounds really positive.

Welcome starbright. Hope you have something fun to keep you occupied during the 2ww.

Choccywoccydodah · 24/02/2014 16:44

Thanks ladies. English if I'm pregnant I have to carry them on, if negative I have to stop as they can cause you to not have af. I've got a busy few days coming up it seems Wink

MrBsMrsB · 24/02/2014 16:50

Hey Lagdies
Choccywoccydodah your post has put a big smile on my face after a fairly shite meeting.

And I don't think I'm ever going to have a whole weekend away from MN again - I came back to 9 pages to catch up on. I have come up with the following conclusions

  1. I need to get my green pom poms. What shade of green should I be looking out for? 2. I need to get a dragon (I'm still not 100% sure why though) 3. I would love to jump on the green bedsheets wagon - but it would clash with everything else in the room. 4. Creme Egg Brownies sound like they could be responsible for a random kitchen orgasm. OMG they sound amazing! 5. Although probably too young - I do know about PJ & Duncan Grin and will happily join in on the dance. 6. OBEM - I cant wait!!!

For all the newbies, welcome on board. Hopefully its the last bus we all have to be on before we think about ttc our next DC (for those who want more). I think 3 would be my perfect number of DC - but would happily take more as a blessing

I have the stats updated but will post them later this week. We have BFPs due (and they will come) everyday between the 1st and the 25th except the 16th, 21st and 23rd, but those who poas early will defo fill the gaps

I seem to have no/part stats for the following ladies though:
amylou85, babytinks89, cth1982, dietcoketime69, FlorIxora, Hibou7688, lindamagoo, missmrsmummy, morgasborgen, NewlymrsB, nicx240187, noitsachicken, nosaint, PetiteChouette, picklebum2011, s4renity, Starbright24, Tranquilitybaby, Treaclepie19

Can I also say thanks to EnglishGirlAbroad and mama31 for telling me about about EPO - I had a big improvement in ewcm this month. Hopefully it helps. I am now what I think is 1dpo, so I'm sitting patiently on the bus hoping that we've done enough for the right little swimmer to find the egg and do what they are supposed to.
