Hi everyone, I'm taking a plunge and starting our folicking March bus off to a start.

Wilhelmina, DS is 21 months, how old is your LO? I also wish id started TTC #2 earlier. And I was also in much better shape last time I conceived!

Retro, hope you managed to wake hubby Wink

Serenitysutton · 23/02/2014 10:20

Tested this morning and negative (AF due on Tuesday) only first month so hardly a surprise or massive upset but DH is a bit upset that I took the test without him as he wanted to be there (bless) tbf I think he was just a bit disappointed and concentrated on that. Now he's insisting we take it "more seriously" this month. So well on the march bus then!

gennibugs · 23/02/2014 10:32

Hi all. just checking in to say hi to everyone.
will read back the messages later. Have kept a low profile as have been feeling a bit low about it all - perhaps AF is due and it's a touch of pmt making me sad? I'm normally a positive person but for some reason don't feel positive about this at all!

I'm about 12dpo and not a single symptom. I don't feel hopeful at all. I think we stopped dtd too early this month.

I really really wish we hadn't had a break from trying 18 month's ago and had kept trying. I'm not getting any younger and now I feel like time is starting to run away.

PosyFossilsShoes · 23/02/2014 10:44

Aw, genni have a Brew and sympathy.

I should have taken my GP's advice and started trying earlier (my GP is obsessed with pregnancy, you go in for antibiotics for tonsilitis and you come out with instructions to go and get pregnant immediately) but I wouldn't have been in the right place in terms of work, emotionally, DP would have freaked out.... you can only do what's right for you at the time & then trust that that was the right decision for you then even if it might not be now, if that makes sense.

Sparrowlegs248 · 23/02/2014 11:06

Thanks SaRa I think we will aim for eod starting cd6 this cycle. If it doesn't work i will be onto C11 and off to the docs.

wilhelm I am trying not to get obsessive about ttc hence avoiding opk etc atm. Saying that, I can't imagine dtd eod for much longer than a few cycles! Maybe if i gave up work......

I went to the docs about something random when i was 28 - not my doc, a different one. She told me to get on with it if i wanted children. I'm 36 now!

genni I know how you feel. I get that way every so often and have to have a break from these boards. Chin up chuck.

Wilhelminanevillesdottir · 23/02/2014 11:24

SaRa DD is 19m so pretty much the same situation as you. Ideally didn't want them more than 2 school years apart but will have to crack on with it if that's to be the case.

Your DH sounds lovely Serenity.

I think we spend ages waiting for the 'right time' Notta. DD came along unexpectedly and I'm so glad she did because we probably never would have got around to planning the first. I'll be 35 this year.

mama31 · 23/02/2014 11:41

Hi ladies, hope you are all ok?

Well my pre af spotting started on sat night at only 5dpo!!!!!! And has continues sparsely (only at cervix) since! Have never had it prior to 8dpo but may be due to the vitex settling hormones (I read that could happen first month using it) but as I'm taking it to prevent this issue, it's quite annoying to see already!!!

I'm thinking I'll probably have another 5 or 6 days of spotting then full flow af! But obviously hoping and praying for a miracle bfp!!!! Bit sad about it all really :( but kind of used to it now also!

bellaboo88 · 23/02/2014 13:50

Mama I don't like the getting hopes up but you sure it can't be implantation? Or cervix irritation? Seems super early for AF spotting :-(

Well this ovulation is making itself known, tonnes of ewcm (last months was pathetic), got right ovary pain last night (can't ever recall right, only ever known left) & its been like period pain-ish! It 'feels' strong if you get me?

Roll on fella getting up after his night shift!! X

Gingerbreadlady1 · 23/02/2014 14:11

Seems to be a lot of down in the dumps-ness doing the rounds, I feel the same. We need some bfp's to reassure us it can happen!!!

mama31 · 23/02/2014 14:17

Sounds good Bella! I'd be waking him now!!!!!

Re the spotting, it usually starts around 9-10dpo but last cycle started early at 8dpo! Seems to be getting earlier and earlier! It may be related to me starting the vitex though as I have read that it can happen when it is balancing the hormones for the first cycle, but may take 3 cycles to fully work!

Not sure I just always feel gutted when I start the spotting and was no expecting it from 5dpo! :(

I agree ginger! We need more feb bfp's!!!!!! Asap! Someone poas and get a bfp!!!!

Owlie84 · 23/02/2014 14:20

Hello all!

Joining in on the miserableness of AF! :( I'm still in bed with pills, heat pads etc to try and feel normal and watching the ice hockey!

So, stats are Owlie84, TTC#1, Cycle 9, BFP due March 22nd. Could I please be added to the list?

Good luck everyone! I know what you mean about ages at the GP - I'm 30, and I get the lecture every time I go!

bellaboo88 · 23/02/2014 14:30

:-( mama that must b so annoying!

Lol half an hour till wake up!!

Yeah I agree, Feb needs some bfps! Although I'm jealous of everyone, I get super excited about them! It lifts my spirits! There seemed to be daily on the January bus?

X

RetroHippy · 23/02/2014 14:47

Agreed that we need some good news on here! Who's first in line for a bfp?

Well, CD3 and managed to wake DH for a shaggette. I will catch that bastard early ovulation this month!

At least with a stupidly short cycle I don't have too long to wait Wink.

mama, sucks that you've started spotting this early Sad, is there any chance that it's implantation? Or too similar to what you get normally? I've never had pre-AF spotting, it usually starts with a whoosh!

bella, sounds good, get on it! Early March bfp on it's way...

Choccywoccydodah · 23/02/2014 14:51

Mama for fucks sake!!!!! AngryAngryAngryAngry

mama31 · 23/02/2014 14:57

My thoughts exactly choccy!!!!! How are you doing?

I haven't cried, that's progress.......

mama31 · 23/02/2014 14:58

Retro, the spotting is always quite changeable but the same iykwim! Only difference is that it started at 5dpo which is shockingly early! So I'd say I'm out but af will drag in after 5 or 6 more days of this shite!!!

Cineraria · 23/02/2014 15:15

Hi, Aunt Flo handed me a ticket for the March bus last night, so please may I come on board? I'm hoping it's valid all the way to a BFP this time!

I think my stats are as follows:

Cineraria: TTC#1, Cycle 2, BFP due 22nd March

but I'm not sure about the date really as I think my last cycle (first after my coil was removed) was quite different to all my previous ones and I don't know if that was a one off change as I adapted or a more permanent change.

Sorry to hear about the spotting Mama. I had that as a side effect of my coil and only had about a week each month where I had no spotting or bleeding but it must be horrible when trying trying to conceive. Did you ask the GP about it at all? I remember a colleague said she'd had that and I think her Doctor suggested it might have been caused by a fibroid they found (can't remember exactly so might have been some other type of benign growth) and they were going to remove it as she had been TTC for a while with no success but then she became pregnant before even getting the op date!

mama31 · 23/02/2014 15:19

C I've been told by the GP that spotting is normal for some people. Had 21 day bloods a couple of cycles ago and all normal but have another GP app in March so hoping to discuss in more detail.

Thanks for sharing that story great to hear your friend got pregnant naturally in the end! Everything I read suggests a bfp is possible with spotting but I can't help but think that it interrupts my LP so much therefore preventing me from conceiving and as I'm on cycle 9 it's hard to think otherwise!

Gingerbreadlady1 · 23/02/2014 15:29

Anyone planning to poas soon? Has there been any march bus bfp? Not been on regularly so not sure if I missed stats up date.

mama31 · 23/02/2014 15:32

No bfp's yet ginger! It's still only feb though so maybe end of this week we will start to see some bfp's! That would be nice!

Gingerbreadlady1 · 23/02/2014 16:10

Duh! Lol! Hence the name I guess, dizzy me!

Choccywoccydodah · 23/02/2014 16:23

Lol ginger :)

Cineraria that's great news with your friend, gives us all hope.

Mama all good at the moment. Just trying to think of questions for tomorrow. Have asked my friend (with 7 kids?!?!) about it all as she went through it about 10 years ago. She said they'll be really good and it'll be more about making sure there's nothing wrong rather than prove there is.
I just hope it's been a blip.
Bit more relaxed about it this month too so hopefully that'll help.

Wilhelminanevillesdottir · 23/02/2014 16:46

Well I could technically still get a BFP this month but am 95% sure that AF is on its way. I think it should be due some time between tomorrow and the 28th. Will keep you posted. My periods are much lighter than they used to be since having DD - has anyone else experienced this?

Sorry to hear about the spotting Mama, you never know though! fingers crossed!

Hi owlie. I have a doctor friend who 'helpfully' reminds people all the time that we should finish having children by 35. Angry

PolytheneGirl · 23/02/2014 18:10

Hi ladies! I hope you're all well and have found something to cheer yourselves up!

Mama so sorry to see you are still here and are still having all that spotting. I hope it gets sorted soon!

I currently feel like banging my head off the wall. No sign of anymore ewcm today and another negative opk. DH is at work till 11 so I'll have to keep myself up for a late night dtd even though I'm pretty well convinced that I ov'd early and have missed it almost completely.

Some days I feel like it's just not meant to be Sad

spinningirl10 · 23/02/2014 18:45

Hi ladies Grin

My internets not working and 3G seems to have also decided not to work in my house!!!! No Internet is a shock to the system!!

Anyway I've popped to the shop so having 5 mins on MN!

I did ov yesterday as usual on day 12. Yet again we have had a poor performance for dtd Hmm just once on cd11.....I know it only takes once but not feeling hopeful! Told dp that next cycle we'll be on to a Christmas baby!! He said he'll step it up next month and dtd more at right time....hmmm we'll see! It's so frustrating.

Mama.....grrr bloody spotting again and so early. Hope the new things you're trying work for you and the spotting buggers off next cycle!

Sorry to hear af has got some of you and to those of you feeling down ThanksWine xxx
