Hi everyone, I'm taking a plunge and starting our folicking March bus off to a start.

OP posts:
onelifeonechance · 22/02/2014 16:45

Hi girls,

Hopping on, af got me this morning. Please can someone add me next time it's updated.

New stats:

Onelifeonechance, ttc #1, cycle 10, bfp 20th March.

Not holding out much hope of doing this ourselves, still waiting for clinic letter, rang them yst as got fed up of waiting, they said there are 'capacity issues' but we should hopefully have appointment by end of March so fx.

Hope everyone else is ok, good luck and fx for a lucky bus Smile

PolytheneGirl · 22/02/2014 16:57

Yes SaRa. Plenty of dtd over the next few days I think. I'm now wondering if AF will be due early too, I've never had an early one before ever! Trying to think positively now, at least I've had ewcm this cycle! That hasn't happened for a while!!

Gingerbreadlady1 · 22/02/2014 17:40

Hi again everyone, I'm sliding out from the back of the bus & moving to the middle.

polythene I got Ewcm tue & wed & got my positive opk wed at 2ish if that helps.

I'm now in the 2ww although not feeling very confident this month, not sure if we missed our window despite Herculean effort. Dp drove 3 1/2 hours & I drove an hour so we could meet up in a hotel to Dtd! (Been on a residential course & typically Ov'ed early, first 'normal cycle, Mother Nature is laughing her arse off at that one)And it's been a bfn every other month when we've shagged like rabbits at the right time! Plus didn't dtd till Thursday night when pos opk wed at 2 so could've been too late! Cost us a fortune too, the lengths we go to!

SaRaRaRaRa · 22/02/2014 17:56

Hi onelife hope you get your appt through soon.

Polythene, thinking even more positively - fx AF won't be early and won't arrive at all!

Ginger that's an amazing effort, hope that will be the dtd that makes the difference. TTC is such a crazy business!

Am not feeling hugely hopeful myself, 9dpo and not a single symptom...

Gingerbreadlady1 · 22/02/2014 18:01

I think we get hung up on symptom spotting sararara. No one I've spoken too had any idea they were preg until pos test or missed period. You're in with a chance until the witch arrives!

Sparrowlegs248 · 22/02/2014 18:04

Hi all, wow this threadmoves fast! Early night with no wine for me last night - stress headache did me in. Feel better today though. Thanks for the commiserations and the same to anyone else who AF just got. At least it was bang on time! I manage to not test and just wait for AF but as shes like clockwork i'm sure i'd be expecting a bfp if she was a day late. Must be really hard for those of you who have no af OR bfp.

Retro - re the instant preggers people. In the time that i came off depo, waited 7 months for af to arrive and now on C10, my frieds DP had his snip reversed, got preggers and have a 4 month old daughter!!! Of course i'm happy for them but still, i'm the same as you and have waited and waited.

ginger Respect!!!!

SaRaRaRaRa · 22/02/2014 18:08

Ginger thanks for talking sense. You're right, not joy til AF shows. Need to channel some of polythene's positivity.

Nottalotta glad you are feeling a bit better x

SaRaRaRaRa · 22/02/2014 18:19

Sorry meant not out til AF shows

Gingerbreadlady1 · 22/02/2014 19:12

Indeed Smile how many dpo does AF usually arrive sararara?

SaRaRaRaRa · 22/02/2014 19:19

The last two cycles i've started spotting at 11/12dpo and then AF has arrived in full force at 14dpo. Blimey now I haven written that down it doesn't feel like I have long to wait before AF comes or not.

Gingerbreadlady1 · 22/02/2014 19:22

The 2ww is tortuous & feels like it goes on forever and ever and ever ...

SaRaRaRaRa · 22/02/2014 19:35

.. and ever ...

mama and genni how are you both doing?

Treaclepie19 · 22/02/2014 20:17

I've missed so much! Been out for a meal and a bottle of wine. Actually feel worse though.
My bleeding is now more like blood with discharge... Does anyone have this?
Stupidly (i suffer with health anxiety anyway) convinced myself that I actually am pregnant and its ectopic and i wont know! I know, I am crazy.

bellaboo88 · 22/02/2014 20:18

Really mad....danger poked a few times today, cervix still hard...only went & got ewcm soon as the fella went to work for 12hr shift!!

Earliest I can get any is 4pm tomorrow. Still not had any for over a week due to him being ill...hope my earlier googling/post about ewcm before of (next day to a week) is true!! Off to Dr Google again lol

X

PolytheneGirl · 22/02/2014 20:30

Thanks ginger. I'm going to get busy dtd and keep on with the opks too, just to cover all bases.

I hope your 2ww isn't too bad. Keep your chin up, after all that effort you deserve a happy outcome.

DH is finally home from work!! Let the baby making commence!! Lol

Wilhelminanevillesdottir · 22/02/2014 21:36

Hi ladies.

I'm new and prematurely jumping on the March bus as I can tell AF is on its way.

Ttc for about 3 months with no.2 (please forgive the fact I don't know most of the proper acronyms yet)! I feel stupid asking this -but haven't had to get involved in all this malarkey before as no.1 happened easily - but how do you know when BFP is due? Is it so many days after ovulating or after AF is due? I am in the dark with all this - don't even know how long my cycle is, am waiting for AF to arrive so I can start counting. Was trying to be relaxed about the whole process but it seems I need to be a bit more proactive.

Sparrowlegs248 · 22/02/2014 21:45

BFP is due the same day as AF. Some people (most people!!) test early, but I hate seeing a negative so wait til AF arrives. Will test if late. Welcome and good luck!

I think I need a chat with DH. We are on cycle 10 but not been particularly proactive. Just dtd as and when, and no opks. I really want to try dtd eod this cycle, maybe from cd 6 - 16. I have a 25/26 day cycle.

Just feel like a bit of a fraud going to GP when i know we haven't been targeting ovulation as suck. Though as i'm 36 GP said i could go after 6 cycles....

SaRaRaRaRa · 22/02/2014 21:54

Welcome Wilhelmina! I'm TTC #2 cycle 3 too.

Treacle have never had that as far as I have noticed so can't help - really sorry.

Nottalotta, I use OPKs and I do sometimes think they make me extra obsessive over the whole TTC thing. I do sometimes wish that we had gone down the route of dtd eod for a bit but now I've started with OPKs there is no stopping! If you do dtd eod this cycle you should definitely cover ovulation. Some people on here ov v early so as your cycle is 25/26 days maybe start a day or two earlier, as soon as AF buggers off? Don't feel like a fraud going to the docs, I would prob go if I were you as anything they can advise could only help?

Treaclepie19 · 22/02/2014 22:32

Thanks anyway SaRaRaRaRa :)
I'm wondering if it might be to do with weight loss. I've lost 10lb in the past two months so wondering if that can make my period lighter?

It does mention it online. Also says you may not ovulate while losing weight though :/

MrsExtraOrdinary · 22/02/2014 22:37

Treacle is there any possibility you might have thrush? I used to get it every month on the run up to my period. It's hormonal hence always on the run up.

I haven't had it so far ttc this time but increased amounts of dtd can impact on it. Don't think that helped my chances last time.

Just a thought anyway.

Gingerbreadlady1 · 22/02/2014 22:44

Well done on the weight loss treacle, that's amazing!

Treaclepie19 · 22/02/2014 22:53

Possibly mrs, don't feel any different but might go to the doctors with a general moan about AF.

Thanks gingerbread, I needed to haha! :)

khinks03 · 23/02/2014 01:18

retro

Sorry for late reply, on nights at the moment so all over the place! I have made an appointment with my go for fri to discuss the results but I am going to ring about weds to make sure they are actually back before I go!
And yes one of the tests was to look for pcos. I don't actually have any symptoms (other than being a bit tubby but that's down to my chocolate intake I'm sure!). However I had a trans vaginal ultrasound which showed possible cysts so they said they would test to see either way. This is month 10 ttc which I know isn't a majorly long time but I just know there is something not quite right! Will update u when I get my results. Have you had your tests yet??

Wilhelminanevillesdottir · 23/02/2014 08:01

Thank you nottalotta I clearly remember no biology from uni. I have been doing the same as you with the random timings so maybe should get going with these stick thingies and be a bit more scientific with it. I definitely don't think you should feel bad about going to the doctor. My friend went and found the whole thing really helpful and then they conceived quite quickly afterwards after trying for over a year by themselves.

Hi SaRa. How old is your first? I wish I'd started trying for no.2 a bit earlier now.

We'll done on the weight loss treacle that's amazing. I was in quite good shape when I conceived first time round and am now wondering if that's making a difference as have done no exercise really since I got pregnant. It's hard to get motivated for running in this weather though!

Good luck with test results khinks.

RetroHippy · 23/02/2014 08:16

khinks, I'm having mine tomorrow morning, I figure that even though AF started Friday, if I go early it's still kind of day 3. And don't have much choice as they weren't open at the weekend Hmm.

I definitely think go if you have any reason to think it might be an issue. We've only really been ttc since Christmas. However, 6 months off the pill and my cycle hasn't settled. If there's nothing that would be a barrier to conception, other than irregularity, then I keep up with the OPKs and DTD every other day. If there is something, then I can start whatever treatment needed right away. At least I know.

Now any suggestions to wake a soundly sleeping DH for a quickie before he goes to the rugby?!
