Getting on a bit, Rhi?! The cheek! I'm 33 and have been getting those comments from friends, family and colleagues since I got married when I was 29. I truly sympathise and it's a real bugger when you have to bite your tongue, as you say!

Loved getting back from another bloody Parents Evening (I do love my job, honest!) and hearing about the BFP, Bingo. Well done, you!

missmrs During a lull in appointments, I sat back on thought to myself, *She's right, this does help me to remember that lots of people have babies and are successful when TTC." Cheered me right up, TA!

Pinkfairy88 · 13/02/2014 21:00

Congrats to those with bfps :-) fingers crossed we will see some more soon!

I am feeling a little down today, and have been struggling not to jump down people's throat at times. I have been getting tight feelings in my lower abdomen until the last day or so. On Monday morning I had the tiniest bit of bleeding, which I don't usually get mid cycle. I was an emotional train wreck at the weekend, crying for the stupidest of reasons. I have been weeing more than normal (I think) the last couple of days, including waking up in the night to go. I think my body is playing some serious tricks on me as it's really too early for all of this isn't it?!

I will probably get af in a week or so and feel even more red up! This is only month 1 of ttc, I'm already crazy. How do you guys get through month after month?

SybilRamkin · 13/02/2014 21:30

Congrats smiling and Bingo! Great news!

barmybunting · 13/02/2014 21:34

moffit how late was af for your other two pregnancies before you got bfp? Hopefully it's just shy one who will show for you soon. I feel your pain when you see that bfn. Come and vent away, we all need to sometimes.

pink sounds like you've had an up and down few days. Is it worth testing in the next few days for your sanity? I hope you're ok.

treacle it sounds very similar timing to my friend. It's hard not to tell them to shush sometimes! It's an odd way to put it I realise, but my best friend is gay. (obviously not the same friend I was talking about earlier) and has been with her female partner for about 4 years. They desperately want children but can't at this stage so she is almost waiting for this bfp as much as DH and I are. I have been really lucky to have her to talk it through with because she's interested and unbiased with no advice! That's where these buses are so good, you feel you can say what's going on without worrying.

Sazzle how are you? Do you have a scan date through yet? That is very thoughtful of you with your scan pic. I know what you mean about seeing them, it's hard sometimes.

missmrs Sorry you can't get to your normal gp. Could DH go with you to give you some support? I hope the new gp is lovely! Let us know how you get on.

Sorry, this is a tmi question but oh well Smile . Where exactly can you feel your cervix? I've been poking about all week, (sorry for details!!) at what I think is my cervix, but I'm not sure. it seems to be a squishy bit at the top front. Am I poking about in the right place?

I can't even believe I'm writing this but I genuinely am wondering.

And next question. Does cm have to stretch a certain distance to be ewcm? The pattern of it seems to have changed for me this cycle so I'm not sure it's actually ewcm but it seems to be.

Keepingmyconvertible · 13/02/2014 23:00

Sorry barmy no clue about the cervix I'm afraid.

I'm off to join the March bus as AF is here......abloodygain. Good luck to all x

missmrsmummy · 13/02/2014 23:26

barmy I'm well into this cervix business!

At the start of your cycle and just after, it will be low and firm, feeling like a nose! Easy to find. Then is starts to rise and will become soft around ov. It's hard to find then, and is called SHOW (soft, high, open and wet). Post ov it becomes firmer and lowers again in time for AF (or not, hopefully!)

I found it helpful to check this cycle as I wasn't getting smileys. I almost gave up but then one morning I couldn't find cervix so I did OPK and lo and behold I got my smiley!

missmrsmummy · 13/02/2014 23:27

just after AF I should have said on first line

Zermatt · 14/02/2014 04:36

I'm just getting into that as well, and on 6dpo its low and firm, plus my temp is not that high, it went up at first but is dropping, not feeling too positive for this month being the one.

Moffit · 14/02/2014 06:24

Thanks for the words of encouragement ladies!! Still nothing this morning , I'm 14dpo and cd28. barmy was 2/3 days late when I tested positive last time, so maybe I'll test again Sunday/Monday. It's my DD 2nd Birthday tomorrow, so I can totally sympathize with the "it's about time you had another one" comments, I politely say no not yet ,when all I want to do is shout "we're bloody trying"!!

Happy Valentines day ladies!!

KittyVonCatsington · 14/02/2014 06:57

Sorry to hear that you are feeling a bit rotten,Pink-I have come to the conclusion that a lot of ovulation symptoms are identical to pregnancy symptoms, so it really plays trick on our minds. Nothing you can do but wait to test and see what the cause is/was. We'll help you wait until testing day-how many dpo are you?

Very sorry to hear AF arrived Keeping good luck for the next cycle!

Happy Valentine's Day ! Cake

toots123 · 14/02/2014 07:22

missmrsmummy · 14/02/2014 07:58

Oh no, sorry for AFs Sad I am bloated and have cramps so feel like she's coming to get me!

Who's testing this morning? We need some bfp love!

EnglishGirlAbroad · 14/02/2014 08:52

There's must be at least one v-day BFP lurking out there!!
Sorry your out Toots Angry, I have a feeling I'll be joining you on the March bus. Think I've got my head around that already so shouldn't be too distraught when the bitch arrives!!

SnowBells · 14/02/2014 09:07

Valentines day, and I was surprised by something red this morning. Yep, I think AF is on its way, so will likely be checking out. Was only two drops or so on loo paper (sorry, TMI), but it is very likely it.

After a mammoth cycle of 49 days last time, this cycle was terribly normal at 30 days!!!! So could not even POAS...

missmrsmummy · 14/02/2014 09:19

Dreamt I got a feint bfp! Not gonna poas though as only 5 dpo!

toots123 · 14/02/2014 10:34

Too many af's here, not good!! Ive had spotting for three days and thought this morning was proper af but it isnt. So confused but know af will properly start soon.

not good Sad

SnowBells · 14/02/2014 10:51

AF has not properly materialized yet. So it's spotting. But better not hope...

Hazelbrowneyes · 14/02/2014 11:17

I think I may have missed ovulation this month. I’ve been waiting for severe cramps like the last two months and haven’t had them so knowing our luck, we’ve missed the right time!

An app predicted I’d OV on CD15, now CD18 and I have no idea if I’ve ovulated yet. I had cramps on CD16 & CD17 so that could have been it. EWCM arrived on CD12. I am v. crampy today actually but it's central, not deep in one side like normal.

DTD on CD11, CD12, CD14, CD15, CD17.

I’m already disappointed as I have a feeling this is going to take us a long time but equally a bit relieved that I don’t have a definite date of ovulation so I can’t symptom spot this month!

I’m not expecting AF to arrive on CD28 this month (25th Feb) so I think I’ll be holding off testing until after CD31/32 if she doesn’t arrive in the meantime.

Congrats on the BFPs, sorry to those who AF got xx

MrsExtraOrdinary · 14/02/2014 11:37

I was going to poas today, just for valentines fun! Af due in 4 days though, so would Have been a long shot anyway, but alas I went all fingers and thumbs Blush In tesco as they've put them all in plastic boxes! I didn't fancy having someone take if out the security box at the express till! Blush So silly!!! I think it wasn't helped by the valentines card I was holding in other hand! So alas no test! Confused

missmrsmummy · 14/02/2014 12:20

That may be a good thing Hazel as symtom-spotting is a nightmare!

Oh no Mrs but maybe it's a good thing you couldn't buy a test!

I've been having light cramps and a strange pulling sensation in my abdomen which i know others have mentioned too. Can anyone remember whether those people went on to get AF or BFP??

RhiBee29 · 14/02/2014 13:30

What to do? I'm off on hols on weds which is 5days before bfp is due...do I poas before I go? What are the chances of getting a + result that early? If I dont poas I will have to avoid alcohol and we're going with friends which could be awkward.

EnglishGirlAbroad · 14/02/2014 13:53

DH asked if i'd poas today... wrong friday!! Technically af due on wed but gonna wait til friday I think!!
rhi it's not likely that at 9dpo you'll get +tve result even if you do have a bfp cooking. I'd take a stick with you and do it on due date and then just take it easy on the alcohol front. And then if you get a bfp feign some kind of stomach bug...

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 14/02/2014 14:18

missmrsmummy I had (and still have) lower abdominal cramps and a really heavy pulling feeling in my groin, these started about 9dpo
