Hi all. As promised, a sparkling new thread that is going to see a lot of action in the next few weeks, I hope!

Hey Mary. When I was PUPO with DS (1st IVF) I took it 'easy' but I did go to the gym and ran Shock...when I was PUPO with my pregnancy in the summer DH did all the lifting of DS (who was the same age then as yours is now) for the majority of the 2WW, put him to bed/bath/went to him when he woke in the night. I found it quite hard as it is so instinctive to pick him up but it did help me. It didn't help in it turned DS into a complete Daddy's boy. For the period I was PG (9 weeks) he didn't really want anything to do with me. He was at the scan when we found out about the MMC and I swear from that moment he became 50/50 again. Probably psychosomatic but I swear he sensed the hormone changes.

Badhairday76 · 02/02/2014 20:49

That's interesting Van - am sure they are aware of far more than we tell them on some instinctive level.

Ha ha Bugs - I agree. I also had less than 5 mins rest lying down after my ET because there was another lady waiting to have hers done, whereas some clinics advise you to lie down for an hour then go home and rest for the test of the day. When I was unknowingly pregnant with my DS I subjected him to four times a week Bikram yoga sessions for the first 8 weeks. I felt terrible about it once I found out and stopped immediately, but my doctor told me that babies are born to mothers every day who exist in scorching hot temperatures and that the heat thing is a myth unless you are douching yourself with scorching hot water! Who knows?

wishwash · 02/02/2014 21:18

pip with my failed fresh ivf I had brown blood from 4dpt then bled properly from 6dpt so before OTD. With my frozen cycle the brown blood started around 9dpt and I bled about 12dpt so after OTD. I think the breakthrough bleeding is linked to what's wrong but no one seems to pay any attention to it!

Things are bad for me. I'm badly stressed on buserelin and I've fallen out with DP. He's been so lazy lately and leaving the house in a state, I've been trying to keep it tidy but it's impossible whilst being completely shattered and emotional constantly! Why should I tidy up after a 30 year old man? He needs to be helping but he's just making it worse. I've decided to have a couple days at my mums to keep stress levels low and DP has just had a go at me so I give up Sad

Badhairday76 · 02/02/2014 22:04

Poor you Wish. Buserelin is the devil's juice as well. Men don't get how gruelling these drugs are in our bodies and how emotional we are already feeling. Try to ignore your DP and escape to your mum for a bit. I do feel for you though. I had one day on Buserelin when I literally just lay in bed for hours crying. Awful stuff. Hugs to you xxx

wishwash · 02/02/2014 22:08

Thanks bad. He's been so great lately so it hurts more when he's completely useless. I am taking some time out and hopefully he'll come round to my thinking soon Sad I'm hoping AF turns up soon so I can quit this horrible stuff

Onelittlebugbear · 02/02/2014 22:33

It's stressful isn't it wish? And I think men sometimes feel a bit useless (or are a bit useless as in the case of my dh) and so get irritable and unreasonable. Which is annoying because really it is our prerogative to be unreasonable on account of all the hormones we are taking xx

starsandmoonandback · 03/02/2014 07:55

Just wanted to give Wish a big hug. Try and keep in focus that the evil buserilin is playing a big massive part in how you are feeling. It will get better. Hope a little break with your mum helps xxx

Badhairday76 · 03/02/2014 08:09

Morning everybody. I have been up since 5.30 watching C Beebies in a tired stupor. There was a fire in our block of flats lady night. My DS slept through it all but it was rather dramatic with firemen rushing up the stairs with hoses. We think a bloke went out leaving something on the stove and he has basically destroyed his flat. Rather worryingly, the communal fire alarm didn't go off, meaning had it been more serious, we would have burned in our beds. I had another very faint line on an Internet Cheapie test today which is worrying me because I feel it should be getting stronger and, if anything, it's fainter than yesterday. I've been here before and am now thinking it's probably going to be a chemical. Hope you ladies are all okay today xxx

Onelittlebugbear · 03/02/2014 08:12

Going off for et in a little while - if I don't get a call before then to tell me all embies have arrested.

Not sure whether to have one or two back. I've read a lot where people have had two back but only got one baby. Twins wouldn't be a disaster except for the diabetes, it would be a double high risk pregnancy. Look at me talking as though I might actually have two embies to go back! Praying our 4 cell has carried on dividing. It should be about 64 hours now so think it should be 6 cells at least...horrid feeling it won't be.

Hope things look brighter this morning wish x x

Onelittlebugbear · 03/02/2014 08:13

Bad you can't go by line strength.
With ds my lines were hit and miss and I drove myself mad thinking I was going to lose him.

When is your blood test? X

starsandmoonandback · 03/02/2014 08:21

Bad, I'd get shop tests. Perhaps SuperDrug as I saw lots of people raving about them on here!! I'm sure it depends on wee concentration and stuff too. Don't panic hun. I'm sure it will be ok xxx

One, good luck for ET. Talk to the embryologist about their opinions on how many to transfer. I had 3 transferred on 2 of my cycles and they assured me it was highly unlikely to result in a multiple pregnancy due to quality of embryos and previous failed cycles and the fact I had 2 transferred with my DS. They have to justify their choice to the hfea too so are usually quite informed with their decisions. Hope you have 2 good embies hun xx

Badhairday76 · 03/02/2014 08:22

Not for another week! Argghhhh!!! I am totally driving myself mad - it's true.

Good luck for transfer One- it will be fine xxxx

Badhairday76 · 03/02/2014 08:23

Thanks Stars - I am already planning a trip to Superdrug today. Urgggjjj.

WannabeMaryPoppins · 03/02/2014 08:36

Good luck today one. Thinking of you and your embies! Lets us know how you get one
wish really hope that things are looking better today. I think staying with your mum is a really good idea. Hope you have lots of home comforts and stress free days.
vall thanks for your response. Its weird how kids seem to tune into these things. We're here because of MFI so I think that by doing as much as he can in the 2ww DH feels like he is doing his own bit and I'm certainly not complaining
badhair I'd go for the shop bought one too. And One is right. Try to stay sane! I've been up since 5.30 too but nothing so dramatic, just DS who thinks getting up at that hour is acceptable. No one else in our house agrees.
stars nobeer cwtchingturquoise morning, hope you have a good day!

cwtching · 03/02/2014 09:53

Morning ladies!

Good luck One thinking about you and sending positive vibes.

wish these drugs are evil. Hope you are having a better day today and are getting some spoiling at home with your mum. Hugs.

Onelittlebugbear · 03/02/2014 10:13

They're running late again and I'm desperate for a wee!

I hope so. I'm still waiting. I've been waiting an hour. It's their own fault if I wee on them.

starsandmoonandback · 03/02/2014 11:12

Arghhh! Hope you've had transfer by now!! And weed!!!

starsandmoonandback · 03/02/2014 11:12

Wee-ed?! How do you write wee in past tense?! Grin

nobeer · 03/02/2014 11:18

Morning all.

one hope you're ok! I went a bit overboard with drinking the water beforehand and had to have a wee, and still had enough in my bladder!

resipsa · 03/02/2014 11:23

Bad - think I agree that pay no attention to the colour of the lines. I have no faith in the true accuracy of any of the tests. With DD, I know I conceived on 1 or 2 May and on 25 May (which was the first and only time I tested - oh the blissful ignorance of the first timer!) the CB digi was still saying 2-3 weeks. I was none the wiser back then so only really took notice of the 'pregnant' bit but if I'd known then what I do now, I'd have been a wreck that I was out by 4 days!

One - hope it has happened by now!

MP - roll on Friday. I am well jel (ugh, hate that phrase but it sums it up nicely) as still waiting for AF and can't start FET protocol until the 2nd one shows up so it's going to be 5 March at the earliest now. Agh! If anyone has tips on how to make it come, please shout! Also, I lugged 20 kg DD around as usual after last ET and got pregnant so am sure it'll be fine if you do the same. I think I did get DH to do some more baths (much to DD's disgust as she much prefers her best friend (me!Grin) to do it) and told her I had a bad back but really it was business as usual.

Cwtc - did I say conrats on PUPOness already? If not, congrats!

Pip - old query now, I appreciate but I bled ON OTD - out it came on the test. Nice. Classy. Stupid body. Hope you are OK.

Bugs - hope you haven't gone mad yet!

Wish - sorry to hear things are a bit ropy at home. I empathize. DH and I were really bad after our failed cycle last April/May but the even keel will reestablish itself. My mother's is the last place I'd go for TLC and calm, though!

Hi Stars, Turquoise, Val and lurkers!

OP posts:
Onelittlebugbear · 03/02/2014 11:31

I didn't wee but only because I was praying constantly that I wouldn't. It took ages because my uterus tilts so far back. It was worse than EC!

Anyway I had two put back, a grade 1 four cell and a grade 1 six cell.
