Hi all. As promised, a sparkling new thread that is going to see a lot of action in the next few weeks, I hope!

My clinic gives me three sessions per cycle - it's included in our £5000.
When I saw the dr about the allergic reaction she suggested anti depressants but I don't really feel depressed and I don't want to feel numb. I've taken them before and they just make me feel disconnected.

I get one free session which I plan to take when I have my review apt. I just can't book an apt at the mo as it's in London and dh working all the time and have no one to have DS. I am already on anti-depressants!!

I know bugs! And I think there's a wait!

have the anti depressants helped? I'm taking piriton for my stress rash and it's great, it really knocks me out!

It's one session at most clinics bugs! Three is actually pretty good.

I had counselling with my first round & find it really helpful. Did consider it this time too but its a bit difficult with Ds & Dh working.

Afm I have just had a nightmare 12 hours. DH is away until this evening. DS woke up last night with a burning fever of over 40, shivering & blue lips. Had no idea what I should do so took him to a&e. Turns out he has a middle ear infection & tonsillitis. he's still not good so hoping that the antibiotics kick in soon

On a brighter note I keep thinking that maybe we know Kate Silverton. What if she was an egg buddy?

If she was she will have gone Wannabe after we laughed at the idea of her having bum bullets!

I still cannot quite believe I've heard nothing off my best friend.
So now in addition to losing dignity, hope and some of our savings it looks like I'm going to lose a friend.

Felt a bit daft afterwards seeing as it was nothing serious but blue lips are scary i'm telling you! ds has slept all morning & they say that sleep is the best medicine so fingers crossed

I mean seriously, your oldest friend who you've known for over 20 years tells you get first cycle of ivf had failed and after texting back 'you didn't tell me you were having ivf' that's it?! Nothing? No call, no suggestion to meet up, nothing?!

No I haven't contacted her again. I don't even particularly want to talk about it with her. It would have been enough if she had just said 'shall we meet for a drink?' I wish I hadn't told her now.

Welcome Still. Drink plenty of water, I had that feeling post EC. Maybe ring up your clinic just incase.

Aw one that wasn't a good response from her. But don't necessarily throw the towel in on a good relationship if this is the first time she's let you down. Obvs may not be the first time in which case, LTB! Some people really don't know what to say to us :-(

I had some random red blood when wiping after a wee earlier (sorry TMI but it's par for the course on here isn't it). AF has been finished for a couple of days. Frantically googled but looks reasonably common early on during stims and it was just the once, so probably won't bother the clinic unless it happens again... I did my new ivf relaxation cd last night (Helen macpherson one) and was most put out that I didn't fall into a trance and heard all her witterings about trees and tall buildings . Maybe I will be hypnotised tonight.

Need some advice! Went for an internal today. I've done 6days of stimms and I'm on 112.5 Gonal F because of my age, size and it is my first IVF. The nurse counted 10-11 follicles on each ovary, only 1 on each side that is 10mm in size. The nurse told me to carry on as normal, but I'm really worried, because only 2 follicles have grown to the size that they should be at this stage. Does that mean there are only 2 eggs that will be any good? The other follicles where only like 3-4mm.

Except me turq - I'm a BFN. :-(

B4by - you may find they up your dose if you get to day 8 and they haven't got much bigger. I stimmed got a couple of extra days because I had a similar number to you at day 8. They upped the dose for the last two days and I got 9 eggs, 7 mature.

(((One))) It's awful to feel left behind in both real life and on here. I feel like that when I think of everyone who has come and gone from here in the last 12 months.

Ba4y - One's probably right. I had stims for 12 days in total so plenty of time to adjust things so they are right w/o risking your health.
