Hi all. As promised, a sparkling new thread that is going to see a lot of action in the next few weeks, I hope!

And again!
I've spoken to a nurse who said that wouldn't happen and not too worry. I haven't ovulated.

I had to tell her id had ewcm and she didn't even flinch. Poor woman. Tmi!

Badhairday76 · 12/02/2014 17:56

Ha ha - yeah. I did the same. I think I even said 'I'm soaking in the knicker department' which is clearly TMI. Am sure they don't bat an eyelid though. X

starsandmoonandback · 12/02/2014 19:24

One, sorry your friend couldn't think of anyone but herself! It's sad when you confide something so important to someone and then they respond in a way that is far far far from helpful. Hugs x

Stilltryingforababy · 12/02/2014 20:17

Hello ladies, I hope you don't mind me sneaking in.
I'm a lurker who has been following this thread and taking strength from it for weeks (hope that doesn't sound creepy!)
Today I am 9d3dt so getting close, like some of you to blood test day (Friday for me).
I haven't really had many symptoms other than the last few days a really bad pain right across my belly. It's hard to describe. It basically hurts when I breath deep. It's like I've been to the gym and done 100 sits ups. My muscles hurt, like, a lot. It's not off to one side. It's right across the middle of my tummy. My tummy is rock hard. I'm not constipated I don't think. Of course worried this is an ectopic (but not sure pain is I the right place since it's not particularly low down, it's across my belly button area- it hurts when I push my tummy in). And would I get these symptoms as part of my 2WW?
Ectopics sound horrific. You go through so much and then you end up with something so difficult to heal from (physically and mentally).
Or maybe I thought it could be the side effects of the progesterone which I'm taking each morning. The pain is basically there all the time. It's not like it comes and goes and I am worried it's getting worse over last few days. I have been getting faint positives, but that doesn't mean much- I've had chemical pregnancies before and worried the same might be happening here. It's my first ivf, and I had nothing to freeze and only one embryo to transfer. It's basically this, or it's game over.

Good luck to everyone waiting for results over next few days. Going to call clinic tomorrow and see what they advise but I would love to hear if anyone recognises these symptoms or has suffered a ectopic and recognises these symptoms?

resipsa · 12/02/2014 20:22

Eek, a safe haven. I dipped toe into AIBU. Why do I do it? I always come out scared (and I'm a litigation lawyer so paid to argue!).

Welcome still. Not long now. Are you going to test early or wait for the blood test?

res I love going over there and having a shout a people!

Stilltryingforababy · 12/02/2014 20:41

bug I've just had a look and the symptoms do match. For some really stupid reason, I thought this was a pre- collection condition and not something I could develop in my 2WW. Trying to drink lots. I will take some paracetamol too. Thanks for the advise. Hope you feel better soon as well.

Stilltryingforababy · 12/02/2014 20:44

Hey euro. I've been quite restrained this time. I've had chemicals before so I am really worried about false positives. Getting faint line yesterday and today, which shocked me but after my chemical pregnancy experiences, I know it can be there one day and gone the next. Feels like someone is ripping out my insides at the moment. Had no real implantation symptoms unlike last times. Apart for this god awful pain and bloating, doesn't feel like anything pregnancy is going on really.

Turquoisetamborine · 12/02/2014 20:55

Welcome Still when is your official test date? Im only on down regging of my first ivf so can't help with your symptoms but the girls on here are great so someone will.

Stilltryingforababy · 12/02/2014 21:12

Hi turquoise official date is Friday so not long to wait now. It's a long six weeks or so but 2WW is absolutely the worst but. During the rest you are busy with appointments and injections. When you stop and there is nothing more you can do, that's when it really gets tough. I big bit of me doesn't actually really want to know. While it's a possibility, you live with hope. Good luck though. Take it a day at a time. Be kind to yourself. All except for 2WW passes pretty quick.

cwtching · 12/02/2014 21:46

Hiya Still welcome! Sorry you are feeling like this - make sure you drink lots of water. I was told to drink 3 litres over the course of a day - you need to flush out all of the stim drugs from your system.

eurochick · 12/02/2014 22:04

That's great still. I've had chemicals and an mc too. I always prefer to test early as I am somehow encouraged that my embie tried, rather than didn't do anything at all.

cwtching · 12/02/2014 23:30

Help. OTD is Saturday but according to my chart HCG levels should be high enough to detect tomorrow (11dp3dt). Is it a bad idea to test tomorrow?

starsandmoonandback · 12/02/2014 23:43

Cwatch, I would think you're pretty safe to test tomo if you want to. You're 14dpo. Good luck Smile

resipsa · 13/02/2014 07:08

Cwt - ???

Still - you left out the 'lines' info in the first post. Sounds good! Fx.

Yet again, this thread seems tone defying the stats. Please let the luck run into March too!

Having bad thoughts today (and it's still early which doesn't augur well). What am I going to do if this FET doesn't work? Something else in my life will need to change to deal with the 'missing' part. Too exhausted by this IVF stuff to think about what that might be. Sigh.

OP posts:
Onelittlebugbear · 13/02/2014 07:36

Res I know exactly how you feel.
I don't know whether to seek some sort of counselling because it's ruining ds's childhood for me.

starsandmoonandback · 13/02/2014 08:00

Res hugs xxx

One, I'm struggling too. So depressed I'm not enjoying anything in my life and I really just want to enjoy my DS Hmm

Onelittlebugbear · 13/02/2014 08:03

I might go back to bed once I've taken ds to school and stay there all day. My house is a tip. I ought to tidy but I can't be bothered.
