Hi everyone

ChocolatePeanut - Sorry to hear about last night! Hope everything is cool now!

Andi - Any sign of AF? Been thinking of you!

How is everyone else? Oinker, Babyfettle, Uki, Firststar and where is Nicki???

Love to JL2nd xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

andi0411 · 23/09/2006 11:00

Morning Edie- no sign of the dreaded unmentionable (whispers af very quietly) yet but its only cd25- i could go another bloomin week.....I have had some dull back ache and slight periody lower tummy pains this am- so i daren't think....Thanks for asking though xx

You're back at work tomorrow aren't you? Good luck with that love and glad you've cut your hours back- less stress etc...Al that should help you with ttc- did you say it took you 3mths last time? I'll bet its quicker next time- alot of women are more fertile post pg of any kind- I'm banking on this too as my last m/c was June and although that would seem like 3-4 months i actually didn't get rid of the pg hormone until Aug.

You will keep posting though won't you, I'll be waiting to hear all your news!!

ChocP- I know what you mean re: your fella- men- what the heck is that all about!!!??? lol- can't live with them/ can't live without them!!! Hope you're feeling better.

Juicy- still thinking of you at this time...I read your post on the bereavement side( as well as respondin over here) and feel for you. Look after yourself. We're here if you need us.xx

Hi to everyone else- it'll prob be dead on here this week end but I'm working so I'll also be lurking

edie123 · 23/09/2006 11:16

Oh right well fingers crossed it stays away. Yes back at work tomorrow, thanks for remembering. Im dreading it because of having to face everyone, although they are all brilliant and have been sending texts and stuff, I just feel like Im over talking about it to people face to face. Just don't really know what to say...

Yes so glad I cut my hours although v worried about the money-it will make about £200 a months difference.

Bought a new car yesterday-isn't gonna cost me anymore a month than what I pay now but is cheaper to tax and insure which will help.

Yeah im hoping ttc won't take long although like I said before, I am not quite as desperate as first time round so hope we can just do it without all the ov kits, charting, books etc that we used before. They get quite necessary though don't they?!

Good luck yes I will keep posting as am quite addicted now!! xx xx

desperate2bmum · 23/09/2006 11:24

hiya everyone

i post on the "positive" threads a lot but i hope you dont mine me joining here too?

i had a m/c back in june and just wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same as me?
this is my third cycle since m/c they seem to be all over the place and this month i didnt even ovulate..?
before i used to be as regular as clockwork on a 28day cycle.

andi0411 · 23/09/2006 12:06

Morning D2bM- you and me are the same- i had mc in June and feel like my cycles are mad, it didn't help that I still had hcg in my bod -10 weeks after mc due to hospital mess-up!!!

I have just started temping and don't think I ov this month- no sign of the dip/rise etc... also I started with the grapefruit juice and monitoring my cm- but am giving cough med a miss.I have relaxed this month but its only cos I'm seeing the cons next month- have you seen anyone post m/c about your cycle etc?

andi0411 · 23/09/2006 12:10

Ps Edie - i meant to say hi to you too but clicked post instead!!!

If the reduction in hours causes financial stree I suppose that could be a prob, but if you and your dh have worked it out I'm sure you'll be ok- if not then could you increase them again?

You might be right about not wanting/having to temp/chart etc- i actually fell pg last time when i had 'switched off' due to having my consultants app for m/c and difficulties conceiving- how ironic is that? I have also 'switched off' this month and am hoping for the same result xx

pepperpots · 23/09/2006 12:12

Oh well af arrived this morning
Cd 1 for me - again!
Hope everyone else is doing ok. Do we have any testers?

OP posts:
desperate2bmum · 23/09/2006 13:18

andi - i have been using ov sticks and had negatives all this month from cd12-cd20

it took 4 weeks for hcg to dissappear for me and havnt seen anyone since the m/c.
i said that after next month if i dont ov again i will go and see someone but i know they wont do anything because its only been 4 months ttc since m/c and they well prob say there is nothing wrong because i got pregnant before.
i have started temping from cd20 this cycle and will start properly next cycle. i am slighly concerned though because i did have an infection after my m/c and im paranoid that its damaged me. also people saying that you are most fertile after a m/c..well i bd'd everyday! and still no joy im just confused and frustrated.

what are you seeing the cons for?

desperate2bmum · 23/09/2006 13:19

sorry pepperpots xx

andi0411 · 23/09/2006 13:28

So sorry Pepperpot!!

D2BM- Sorry I didn't reply sooner - my mother came to take me for lunch and she's not a lady to be kept waiting.

I know what you eman about the specialists and what they'd say in your circumstances- perhaps the best thing- and easier said than done- is to give it until 6 mths- then they will take you seroiusly, even if you did get pg before. Did it take long to get pg?

I'm seeing the cons because that was my 3rd m/c and it takes ages between to get pg as well. Also it took us ages to conceive the 1st time. Not looking good, but could be s'thing simple....

sorry andi ive been out all day and guess what ive brought....A BABY RAT! she is sooo cute chocolate brown and soo tiny. ive had them before and they are great pets even though loads of people turn there noses up. her name is poo.

sorry to hear you have been through so much andi i had no idea. have you got any children? i was thinking the same about waiting 6 months..because atleast then i should know my cycle and will have 3 1/2 months worth of charts so then they really have to take me seriously. i hope you get some answers next month and can move further forward in your quest for ttc.
i was on the pill for 6 years solid then came off and fell pregnant within 6 weeks at 3 months i had a scan and found out baby died at 8 weeks. but i had bleeding all the way through pregnancy and was a constant worry. my dp blames it on the pill but im not so sure.

firststar thanks for your welcome and sorry for your loss too xx

andi0411 · 24/09/2006 09:02

Morning ladies- I'll prob be the only 'sad' soul on here today- but I have several piles of work that needs o be done by Tues and am STRESSING- so will give myself the odd 5 mins of MN therapy---aaahhhhhhh.
D2bM- I keep missing you, thanks for replying yesterday. Your rat sounds fab- they're very cute!!!

The only aspect of my story that keeps my chin up is that I am so grateful to know I can get pg, like your good self- the next battle is growing the little thing properly nd keeping it intact. I had initially thought I was having trouble conceiving- but it seems that although it normally takes me 7-12 mths to 'drop on' I can actually do that- I can never keep them though- I have never seen a heart beat.

So sorry for your loss- it's tragic. 6 months is a good time to leave it- it's what the docs would ask for (I believe)and like you say you will understand your own cycle a bit. Temping is getting on my nerves but I'm waiting to see a pattern which I know should come- as it will I'm sure with you. I don't think the pill would have caused your m/c- but I don't know alot about that- what do the docs say?

Talk soon hon. xx

Hi to everyone else....must work, must work (chant)

desperate2bmum · 24/09/2006 10:36

morning andi!

il be a sad soul with you and post aswell

yeah you do know you can get pregnant and i have read time and time again that having 3 m/c in a row is just "bad luck" - whether thats believeable i dont know?! very far fetched in my opinion.
with my m/c i bled throughout and had scans each time which reassured me even though i wasnt allowed to see, my 2nd from last scan was because i had collapsed at work but had a scan and they said that this time they saw the heartbeat (7+5wks) so everything was great. at 12 weeks i had a very heavy bleed went to hospital and scan showed baby died at 8wks. so this was after a heartbeat was seen which according to the net after a heartbeat has been seen the risk of m/c is dramatically reduced.
i am trying not to dwell on this now by keeping positive about falling pg again and the worry of m/c i will cross that bridge when i come to it.

i definately think though that more follow up support should be given to women who m/c as i am actually dreading going back to my hospital as the treatment wasnt very caring it was just "routine"

andi0411 · 24/09/2006 15:56

Hi D2bM- whenever I read the details of someones loss be it very early -like mine- or a little later like you or mid-term or -god forbid- at the end i must admit i sometimes have a cry.

I have felt very down today- lots of work- but have got it done, so that's ok.

I am so sorry you saw yout little one only to have it leave you- you're right there should be s'thing in place for us, but there's nothing- it's why I am seeing the specialist- I want to know why my babies don't stick.

Well I'm cd 26 of a poss 28-32 cycle and feeling incredibly tired, sickly and bl++dy fed up- sorry to moan but I know you know what I mean. I'm damned sick of confusing af symptoms with poss pg that I no longer build my hopes up- I'm just going to leave it until as late as poss to test.

How's POO?

desperate2bmum · 24/09/2006 16:21

yeah andi i totally understand what you mean. i am sick of all the emotions involved am i or arnt i? getting annoyed (like me this month because i think i havnt ovualted) or the otehr extreme getting your hopes up thinking this is the month. i wish there was someone out there who could brain wash me and make me forget about ttc and just go with the flow.
sorry you have felt so down today - have days like that too but at the end of the day we have lost a child/children we are grieving. but if you ever need to talk i am here, i know how you feel and likewise i know you feel what i feel.

poo is fantastic she is so cute an unbelieveably tame apart from she keeps nibbling dp which must means she loves me more we brought her a new bed today but she is refusing to sleep in it. and she wont eat chocolate she prefers savoury which was sooo unlike my other rats! she is so dinky and keeps sneezing and squeeking. i love her to bits!

hope your having abreak from work as you seem to have been at it non stop this weekend! enjoy the rest of your weekend

i wont be on tomorrow during the day i have got to go on a damn speeeding course instead of getting 3 points

andi0411 · 24/09/2006 16:34

Thanks for that D2b- if you find that brainwasher pls let me know!!!! I'll block book lol.

I have to go for a few hrs now as dp's back and i'm hardly seeing him at the mo...I'll be on later and will miss you tomorrow- good luck with that!!!

edie123 · 24/09/2006 22:14

Hi all (esp Andi and DTBM)

Oh what a hard day! Went back to work today, started at 13:20 and spent all morning crying about it. Been doing so well recently but this morning just felt like I had just found out all over again...

Anyway work not so bad although difficult everytime I saw someone new. One of the doctors didn't know and asked to see how big I was getting! Had to tell her which was soooo hard.

Anyway pleased I went back.

I used to have rats and they are just soooo gorgeous! Andi-know what you mean about all you have posted, try not to stress too much about the work!!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Morning Edie and Firststar- hope everyone is well!!!

Edie- so sorry for you crappy first day back- having to explain and re-live is just awful. Hope it gets better very soon [hugs]

Firststar- have a really lovely hol- relax and don't spare us a thought- we'll still be here when you get back.
Thanks both for your kind thoughts- \i'm in that limbo stage now- cd 27 and af due anytime from tomorrow to Sat...aaarrrgg- feeling achey and boobs sore today but I refuse to test. Tortured myself for 3 mths since last mc and don't want that again. Feeling pos though and that's half the battle...

Keep in touch xxxx

rubles · 25/09/2006 12:08

Edie, that first day at work sounds crap. I bet the doctor was mortified when you told her you had miscarried.

Andi - I hope it is your turn this month xxx

I cope with the 2ww much better these days. I have decided to stop putting my life on hold (which I was doing before because I always thought I'd be pregnant in the near future so there was no point in planning anything).
I want to retrain to be a midwife so I have started the application process for that. I now figure that if I don't get pg and end up going back to study then that is a very good thing, but if I do end up getting pg and have to reorganise everything, then equally that is a very good thing. Either way I am a winner. So when I start to get too wound up thinking about 'am I, aren't I?', 'are my boobs hurting more/less?' 'what does that dip/rise in my temp mean?' etc etc bla bla, I think of all the things that I have to get done for my career change and that keeps me occupied because it is something I am really excited about.
A really absorbing book is another one for coping. One of those that you really can't put down and you can't wait to get back to.

Juicylucythe2nd · 25/09/2006 12:16

Hi Girls,

Have decided to stick around on TTC threads for as long as poss (if you'll have me).

Firststar - hope you have a fab hol. First time I conceived was on holiday. Sadly ended in mc, but the Bding on hol was defo more relaxed than the usual OV time "timetabling". Have fun.

Hope everyone else is ok.

rubles · 25/09/2006 12:18

JL2 - do hang around. I really like to hear how successful ttc-ers from this thread get on. I often pop over to the 'pg after miscarriage' thread to check.
