Nicki

If they are advertised as real and turn out not to be then you have every right to ask for refund.

Go for it then spend the rest of the money on something else to also treat yourself. xx xx

Andi

Yes I need to know how to do it!!

Nicki10 · 14/09/2006 15:44

I think I will bid.

The decoraters have just left and the house looks fantastic, a tip but fantastic I'm so excited I don't want to go to work!

babyfettle · 14/09/2006 20:08

Hello All - tried to catch up on the news over the last few days - so hello to all; good luck on the 2WW those who are there; hope you have a lovely weekend regardless of everything Edie; if you can afford it, Nicki, go for it on the handbag front!; and I love the new name JuicyLucy2nd! I never could get angasthas;lskdfja;lksfj right!!!!

Anyway, had a great, but exhausting time away with work - went to Madeira and the weather was beautiful, but as is the way with these things I only saw the light of day outside the hotel yesterday!!

Will have to report tomorrow if I've had a temp shift while I've been away, as I didn't bother taking my temps while away to see if I've ovulated yet.

And the best bit is, I got through this week, with only a tiny little wobble in my voice, when someone asked when/if we were planning on having another child and I had to explain about the mc - very proud of myself.

Anyway, 4 days til DH back, so looking forward to it.

Take care all
x

Evening ladies- I guess there's no one around but i just wanted to check in- so to spk.

Babyfettle- welcome back- glad hol was ok and good for you on mentioning mc front- i have had to do thatt too and i know how you feel.

Nicki -GET THE BAG- TREAT YOURSELF YOU DESERVE IT!!!!

Edie you have to have a site to host your photos- the one i used is free- photobox.co.uk- let me know and i'll give you the details!!

As for my cycle its 28-32 days long- as I said i had a pos ov test today- first time i've ever done it- cd16. Any thoughts ladies?

Uki · 15/09/2006 07:31

HI morning all
i'm glad it's so chatty at the moment. LOL about hiring a Fendi bag for 80 pound, who would have thought.

I'm with andi i actually like grapefruit juice, problem is i haven't been able to buy it here for years otherwise i'd be drinking it by choice.

CATS-i have just been adopted by one, it sure is friendly, couldn't stop tripping over it this morning, i already have enough animals but it is a very nice cat, think it was dumped here though.

I',m feeling very nervous about ttc this month, is this normal -it is the first month after m/c and i feel so scared about it all????

edie123 · 15/09/2006 08:20

Yeah im the same. Some days I feel like I want to steer clear of everything to do with babies, children, pregnancy etc but that's the hormones I think. And of course being frightened that this is all going to happen again, certainly couldn't handle that. But I guess I don't have much choice seeing as we want a baby! And reassurances only go so far. This time I will be demanding earlier scans xx xx

Juicylucythe2nd · 15/09/2006 09:25

Morning Ladies,

Well not much to report. Hope you're all well. Keep swinging between desperation for a BFP and worry that if I do get one either I'll m/c again or something will be wrong with it and I will have to think about how to cope with that.

Am full of negativity, which isn't like me. I'm usually an optimist in life and my relationship, and DH (the ying to my yang) the pessamist, but on this whole thing he's the one that is sure I will get pg and it will be a healthy pg and healthy baby.

And of course the irony is that stress is bad for ttc.

AAARRRRGGGGHHHH! Need a break or therapy, one of the two.

Hello Firststar

Andi-have joined photobox and will make my album when I get back from w/end away. Thanks for tip. Also gonna get some prints.

Nicki-Good luck, and hope you managed a bid on Ebay.

Good luck everyone else and enjoy your weekend. Off to Centerparc's this afternoon so should come back chilled out!! xx xx

Nicki10 · 15/09/2006 10:05

Hi Girls

Had the scan and they won't give me another one for another week. TBH I don't know whether I want another but I go on tour next week for 4 weeks and that means that it will have been in there for 11 weeks which is a big risk for infection.

I'm really interested in this pill that you can take. Our hospital isn't licensed for it, bloody NHS so I'm looking to get it privately. Does anyone know the name of it?

The hospital gave me three options-wait and see what happens, have an op or have the medical procedure which is where you have a tablet and then a pessary and it brings the mc on. Is that what you mean? I don't know why the hospital is not licensed for it but if it is the one im thinking of, I think you have to be in hospital to take it. Bloody NHS, im ashamed to say I work for it what with this and also my situation.

edie123 · 15/09/2006 10:49

PS If it is what im thinking then it is called misoprostol.

Nicki10 · 15/09/2006 11:04

Thank you Edie that is the one I'm thinking off. I don't want another bloody D+C by so incompetant doctor so I think I'm going to give up on NHS and go private for this tablet.

They really are crap if taxes were optional I defineatly wouldn't pay them. I have only recieved awful treatment so far that would look bad in a third world country not westerner civilisation! I'm just so angry the amount of money we give away each you and for what the NHS is crap, the police force is worse and our transport systems are appalling. I think the AMerican systems is much better, at least hen you can complain about crap treatment you recieve.

Oops and Edie have a lovely break and I know it's impossible but try to forget about it and relax.

edie123 · 15/09/2006 11:23

Nicki

I think the NHS is fundamentally a good idea but there is so much wastage when it comes to money, and it's not spent in the right areas. I can't believe I have waited so long for my D and C, it's disgusting. You may be better off going to Bupa, contact them and find out if they can do the medical option for you. Apparently it can be quite painful but on the + side, the risk of infection is much less, and lets face it, BUPA will probably give you decent painkillers anyway so you won't have to worry! xx xx

Juicylucythe2nd · 15/09/2006 11:28

Nicki, poor you. The NHS is sometimes really awful. I think it's the jobsworths in it that spoil the reputation of all the dedicated good staff. I think the system demotivates even them eventually and they either leave or loose sight of the reason they wanted to be healthcare professionals in the first place. It makes me and for you (and all of us).

Edie - hope you have a lovely relaxing break and the champagne in your room is correctly cooled and fab

edie123 · 15/09/2006 11:46

JL2nd

Too right. Im in the NHS and looking for something else, outside of nursing.

Ha Ha I hope the champagne is chilled!!!

Now packing, what a pain in the back side it is!

xx xx

andi0411 · 16/09/2006 18:54

Hi just wondered if anyone was around.

Tomorrow is the 'due date' of my second baby and it's hit me abit hard today- just wondered if anyone else had those types of anxiety moments.
I also have November and Xmas Day to luck forward to- the due date of my last 2 babies- what a sh** time of year.

Mope mope.

babyfettle · 16/09/2006 20:59

Hi Andi

I've just popped by - I hope you are ok. I can really feel for you - my due date was earlier this week. It was my 1st mc, so I don't know how you are coping. I have to say that I felt a huge sense of relief now that it has gone - not that I will ever forget, but that life will move on. I was so hoping to be pg again by this stage, but it was not meant to be.

{{{{{BIG HUG}}}}}}}} to you - try and stay positive and I'm sure I speak for everyone that we're here for you. Weekends are always a bit quiet on here though.

Try and plan to do something different tomorrow to focus your mind a bit - not so you forget, but that you don't dwell on everything.

Take care
X

andi0411 · 16/09/2006 23:38

Babyfettle - thanks so much for those kind words. My dp is on nights and i was meant to be going out but i cancelled- felt too down- then my close friend rang and came round with a bottle of wine etc..which is kinder than you might think as I live in the middle of nowhere!!!!

I guess it'll be kind of a late one..but I wanted to thank you.

My friend- who has 3 kids- has no experience of this but I have been showing her this site and she thinks it's great how we support one another.

Tomorrow dp and I are out for lunch..just a quiet day to remember the little one.

Many thanks- your words cheered me up as I'm not normally on here on a week-end and never realised how quiet it is...miss my ttt aft m/c buddies...xxxx

Uki · 17/09/2006 08:04

HI Andi
{Huggs} for you, I'm sorry you have to go through this. I hope you and dh were there for each other today.

It is sad though, and i feel for you having to go through it more than once.

My next due date is dh's birthday in Feb, not looking forward to that but also just wishing i could wipe the whole thing from my memory as i do not want to be down on dh's b'day.

I have a very positive vibe for you this month though.

babyfettle · 17/09/2006 15:53

Hope everyone has had a good weekend - want to know how Centerparcs was, in particular! And Andi - I hope today was better than expected?

I've had a relaxing weekend, recovering from my days away with work and cleaning/tidying house for DH's return tomorrow morning. Still won't be 100% certain he is here until I see him, as these things have a habit of changing last minute.

Anyway, on CD29 and had no obvious ov signs really. Temp was 36.38 both yesterday and today (normally hovers around 36.19-36.39) until after ovulation when it rises to 36.59-36.79. But can't really depend on it, as I haven't taken my temps with much regularity recently.

So fingers crossed, it may happen this week, which would be perfect with DH home, but I'm also not holding out much hope, as I know that late ovulation isn't really a good sign (both times conceived previously ov'd about CD25-26), as this could just be an anovulatory cycle. Shame, as I really thought my cycles had calmed down to 28 days recently - just goes to show you never know what your body is going to throw at you.

Anyway, think I've bored you all enough, just wanted some extra positive thoughts from you all for the next week a) that DH actually makes it home this time and b) that it is the right time for TTC!.

Take care all

x
