The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Parsley Our house is a complete renovation project, and the kitchen is literally falling to pieces around us. We've decided to completely redo it so work will hopefully commence next month I figure that I don't need to furnish the nursery so we'll rack up the credit card debt use the money for a new kitchen instead. Hopefully ploughing all of our available credit money into the kitchen will ensure an ironic bfp this month

otters we have a very similar thought process it seems - MrP and I were discussing frittering using our baby fund to buy a new car ony this morning! He actually wants the new car but I am more interested in the 'tempting fate' angle!

The shagathon should of started yesterday but we had some performance issues , wouldn't normally be too bothered as according to phone app should ovulate on the 13th but started opk's yesterday and think I got a positive? I've taken a photo of you could pose check my gallery and give me an opinion? We won't see each other till Tuesday now due to conflicting shift patterns

Hi miss hobart. Silly question but how do I check photo. It can be normal to get a couple of lh surges before ovulation do don't worry - I would keep testing. Do you temp as well?

Parsley - I've heard that you take AC all the way through the cycle, stopping at BFP, but the advice is conflicting. Some say you should stop at OV...I'm going to look into it further actually. Will report back.

missH also not sure how to check photo? That would be seem to be quite early from expected OV date though?

MissH I've had false early +ives before. Try not to worry and break out the sexy undies for the 12th

Parsley - I'm not actually more confused than before! Some people quote herbalists saying take it all the way through, some that you should stop at OV. This quote has made me wonder if I should be doing the latter:

"I have a friend that has a degree in herbal medicine and this was her recommendations... If you are taking it to help regulate cycles then you have to take it every day of your cycle for at least 3 months for this to have any effect on the hormone levels... the same if you are taking it for PMT...If you're taking it to help TTC then you should stop taking it when you ovulate and test if AF doesn't show... if you're not pregnant start taking it again until ovulation".

Apparently there's very little actual scientific published research on it, but the rumours are that if taken in pg it is linked to MC. But this thread is less dramatic than that. Let me know if you find anything more definitive! I'll see what LP and AF are like this month and then consider stopping it at OV I think.

We ripped out kitchen out and replaced it with a natty Ikea one. Plus they design it for you and you can do 0% finance over 12 months. I love the gadgety innards of all the cupboards and drawers!

They're a bit small to make out, unless I've not worked out how to enlarge the pics, but it looks like at least the bottom one shows what I'd call a positive. I very rarely get a line darker than the control. Did you get ewcm or any other signs?

misshobart on phone sorry (laptops broken) so can't see properly but I have seen done people invert/black&white photos on a computer, it really makes it al or clearer, can you do that in your computer? Not that I'll be able to see them properly still but might make it clearer for you :)

Seaside interesting about the herbs. The tcm guy I saw did tell me to take the herbs for 3 months and not TTC during that time. So maybe there is some truth to it.

Awful day today. It was my due date and just found out two friends are pg ! Very depressed. Found out the second one as I checked my messages just before I got in the car. I might just get my first speeding ticket, BUT I don't care. Feel really very down today. To top it off, we should be getting into the shagathon now since I am cd11 but dh is working in an imp deadline for Monday so likely we will have no action till Tuesday. Hope ovulation is late.

Sorry you are having a rubbish day triple. The due date thing is a complete pisser isn't it. I am desperately hoping for a BFP before mine in April but not feeling. To hear new pg announcements too double whammy. Be kind to your self, feet up and crack open the think positive - it will happen for you when the time is right.

I have THE worst kitchen. Actually the kitchen itself isn't that bad but it has been really badly fitted and finished. Luckily we are due to rip it out and knock a wall down down to create a fab new dining kitchen in the next month or so can't' wait to start boring the pants of DH looking at paints and tiles and lights and tables and curtain fabric and doors and ..... A welcome distraction from TTC hopefully
