If you’re over 30, ttc over 12 months and wearing nipple tassels under your snowsuit then this just might be the thread for you - if you can prove yourself bitter and evil enough. We’ll be the judge of that. Don your snowsuit , cowbell ready - fill in the BESHtionnaire and prepare to meet our icy glare. This is a marathon, not a sprint.

After my failed/cp round we went camping and wining in France. We ate bad cheese every day and polished off many excellent bottles. We also talked a lot. It was very healing.

I really hope you won't need that bugs. But it is not a bad idea.

So sorry for you geek. But glad the other half (with the difficult acronym) is back in town for wine drinking and chats.

Thinking of you, hest.

I have literally no idea Confused

So you may not be skydiving and puking in the street just yet.

I have the most repulsive wind I am disgusting myself. My heart rate is also going up again as I am perusing the Zita West IVF section and finding out all the things that probably won't go right after embryo transfer. How on earth does anyone ever get pregnant? I'm genuinely incredulous. I've also been doing crazy housework all day so we don't have to do ir all on moving day. I hefted the oven and hoover round and am now racked with remorse :(

HesterShaw · 10/02/2014 18:56

Ps where actually is "the tip of your shoulder"? Is it your shoulder blade? Or the bony cornery bit where your arm starts?

I know that I'm not daft despite loads of evidence to the contrary :o

Just wondering that's all.

FizzyFeet · 10/02/2014 19:16

I'd say the cornery bit, hest. And it's too early to be thinking about that Although FGS if anyone lurking is ever wondering about ectopic, don't rely on the shoulder tip thing - I didn't have it with either of my ectopics.

bugs Gah! What a headfuck this all is. Stay strong until Weds.

hest I know what you mean. I watched a documentary about it and was gobsmacked at all the hurdles to even get a bfp, let alone make it to term. But it does happen and it can happen --even for the BESH.

geek and cherry thinking of you - hope you're holding up ok.

HesterShaw · 10/02/2014 19:37

From what I just read the cornery shouldery thing is about the last symptom to appear. I think you'd know before then!

Procreation is an impossible miracle.

Though looking at Zita, I have broken tons of rules already
Three cups of tea a day
One very small glass of red at the weekend
Vigorous housework including dragging the cooker and the bed
Too fast walking
No needles.

How does anyone get through this without going actually bonkers?

bugs you are as nutty as a frootloop, but that's par for the course in this game. There is no way you could get to the stage you are at and not be barking. I'm going to stick my neck on the line and say 1-2 weeks pregnant is still pregnant. Today, you are diffed. If you've not used the same type of tests throughout then there is no way you can mental over line darkness. If you are getting a positive reading on a digital with early evening piss then you still have a fair amount of hCG buzzing around your system.

hest ain't that the truth. I have Zita's book upstairs and I can't bring myself to read it because I simply don't buy into half of what she's going on about. Hell, if that's what it took for procreation to happen, we'd have been extinct millennia ago. Also, HWIETO has been taking every vitamin known to man, doing all the right things, cut his drinking to practically zero, lost loads of weight, and his SA still went down the pan. Some things you simply have no control over. I would also say shoulder tip is the bony point above where your arm meets your body.

Half way through champers #1.

ControlGeek · 10/02/2014 19:55

PS - another 'posted too soon' moment. Picked my sick note up after meeting HWIETO at the station. Reason: miscarriage. Brings it home a bit. Need to make damned sure this note bypasses my immediate line manager.

Shitting hell geek, that's a bit of a kick in the guts. I fucking hate medicalness for its blunt language. Sugar coat it a little to spare our out and out despair. Is that too much to ask? I had it tonight picking up my HRT. They NEVER have the whole prescription. And then I got 'Have you had this before' quizzical look. Fuck off!

Dor I'm so sorry you're struggling tis pants and to be expected. Grief is a weird thing. Give it time and take care of yourself.

Stick in there Hest, you're doing good. The process of baybee making is truly miracle stuff. There's not a lot any of us can do but trust the process. Sometimes it goes right and miracles happen.

Hang in there bugs.

Geek have they checked his prolactin levels?

JethroTull · 10/02/2014 20:54
cherrycoconut · 10/02/2014 20:55

Doing OK thanks Fizz cheers for asking. I rang the clinic for an update today on the donor search. They haven't rung back yet but I've been top of the list for two months now. Thinking hoping something should move soon. The clinic matched 6 people with donors in the previous two months Oct-Nov. am I wrong for getting impatient?

I mean I have a lot going on just now but having this to focus on and a bit of hope is keeping me sane. I'd just like to nudge it along a bit if I can.

How's you?

FrankelInFoal · 10/02/2014 20:59

Fred is starting to run short on room. Probably only a few days left in it.

Bugs, time to step away from the piss sticks - can GP hide them from you?

hest I've been at least 30% whoopie cushion for weeks now. I'm disgusting myself. And when we move offices, I will go from having my own office to sharing. I shall have to buy my office mate a gas mask...

When are you planning to test?

geek that was pretty brutal. Are you doing ok?

bugs I've said it all elsewhere. Hang on in there.

cherry I hope you get a match soon. I think egg donors are amazing. I found it hard enough doing IVF for myself.

cherrycoconut · 10/02/2014 21:19

He's a handsome chap of a horse for sure Frank. My steed looks awesome. To me. Beauty is always in the eye of the beholder and I luffs him.

All horses are handsome Cherry Grin Did you read Claire Balding's book where she talked about the ponies she had. One was a scruffy bugger with sweet itch and she thought he was the best looking pony ever Grin

Couldn't agree more euro, some gift hey, amazing. My clinic do egg share, so someone gets free treatment and in return shares half their eggs with me. Mind blowing.

Frank you're damn right and I loved that book. All ponies ARE beautiful.

Oh heck don't do anything in my honour, but a general horse themed thread could work. It's been a while since we had one of those - didn't we all pick a horse for ourselves and give them a name?
