Eeek, sorry I went away again for a moment there - honestly, some people take me literally when I tell them I'm working from home and phone me to give me work to do. Tsk.
Anyway, back to me! Yes, I am back for good! Let me tell you the story (and then we can get back to you...or stay on me for a while longer...)
So OH and I sat down at the start of the year to prepare our 2014 plan (you know, work plans, holiday plans, DIY plans, plans to see friends/family etc etc). We then got on to children and both decided that we were ambivalent about them. This was a stark contrast to the past 12 months or so, when we have been anti them. We then went on to determine that if we had moved from anti to ambivalent, chances are that we'd move back to pro (which is where we were, what 2-3 years ago). We THEN went on to determine that we'd almost certainly need IVF/some other medical treatment given that we'd tried for 2.5 years or so without success. We THEN went to to decide that if we wait until we're pro-having children again before we start treatment, it could be quite a long and painful process with increased risk of heartache/break. SO! We figured that we'd start the medical journey now, while we're still at the not-so-sure-about-being-parents-but-wouldn't-mind-too-much-if-if-we-were stage so that we're less focussed on a positive outcome and more chilled out about it.
SO! OH jizzed in a pot (is there a rat smacker acronym for this? I have forgotten) a few weeks ago - turns out his sperm is totally fucked so he's been referred for IVF and I went to the doctors this morning to start the ball rolling on my tests!
And then I came back and straight away figured that I simply had to update my favourite rat smackers (hopefully my less favourite ones have left....(joking)) on my news!
