SantaMaybe · 31/01/2014 18:16

Oh Dino hope you feel better soon lovely x

Geek I love your updates. Happy anniversary!! Hope you're a little less uncomfortable now.

Hope your cramps aren't too bad either Musical?

Are you still testing Beedle?

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 31/01/2014 20:50

Dino i hope you feel better tomorrow and that the baby is ok. i suppose it is too soon for a scan to give you any reassurance?

Things are getting interesting over here, had a viewing on my house today and am very very hopeful that they might offer on it tomorrow. I went for an interview on Monday and he said if he asks me back for a second interview then as far as he is concerned the job is already mine and it would just be a few questions to assess any knowledge areas that might need refreshing/training support..and he has asked me today to meet him again :). I am just hoping beyond hope that they do offer tomorrow as part of me can't help thinking that this is all far too good to be true as it would make life so much easier to sell and move rather than deal with the hassle of renting both ends.

7dpo. If AF doesn't happen in the meantime I will test at the end of next week, and i will use a frer geek as IME they are very sensitive and extremely quick to give a result. But am watching your experiment with interest!

The Great Trigger Testing-Out Experiment - Day 4

pic to follow on my profile

Test Stick 1 - FRER
A line started to emerge at 4m. By 10 minutes it was extremely faint, and best seen in strong, natural light.

Test Stick 2 - Superdrug
No line appeared on this stick today.

Test Stick 3 - CBFM ovulation test stick
Estradiol line (on the left) slightly lighter (indicating higher levels) than yesterday. LH line almost non-existent.

ControlGeek · 01/02/2014 11:51

Arse, underline fail Sad MN is having problems with the pic upload facility at the moment, will post one later when I'm able or get mn to post it for me.

maybe of course I am charting my results on a spreadsheet, how could you possibly think otherwise?!

dino so sorry to hear about the food poisoning, I can't imagine how scary that must be for you. Brooking like mad that it's a 'simple' type (if there is such a thing) and not listeria.

loopy good luck with both the house and the job, both sound very promising indeed, and couldn't be better timed.

musical how are you feeling?

Lots of insomnia and af-type cramps here. No energy to do anything but I think that's because I've spent all week on my backside doing nothing!

musicalmrs · 01/02/2014 12:59

Geek I've been feeling AF-y, crampy and have had insomnia (and felt shattered) all week. Today I am feeling distinctly BFP-y Shock

Very shocked.. but not counting chickens yet after all the early problems last time..

Loopy, that all sounds very exciting. Keeping fingers crossed!

ControlGeek · 01/02/2014 13:09

did you say BFP-y musical?? As in PSEPP????

musicalmrs · 01/02/2014 13:21

Indeed.. PSEPP-y! Confused

DH got some of your favoured pre sticks this morning..

musicalmrs · 01/02/2014 14:53

The little handjive is a perfect homage to Imps :-)

Thanks Geek! Looking forward to celebrating yours in a few days' time :-) How're you feeling ?

ControlGeek · 01/02/2014 15:13

Crampy and bloated musical - good old progesterone! I'm trying to persuade MrG that it is a crime against humanity that he is kipping in the living room while the future mother of his unborn baby has her craving for custard creams going unheeded.

musicalmrs · 01/02/2014 16:17

It definitely is a crime! Tell him to get to a custard cream shop immediately! Grin

DinoSnores · 01/02/2014 16:26

musical, that is great news! Grin How did you feel when you tested?! Was it a shock?

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 01/02/2014 16:53

Omg Musical congratulations, that's lovely :):)

So was it just me who speed read handjive as something totally inappropriate? Blush

musicalmrs · 01/02/2014 19:16

Thanks Dino and Boo. It was a bit of a shock - loads of symptoms, but was so sure I was imagining them, especially as they started quite early and still seem a bit mad for v early pregnancy (only 12dpo I think). I still think I am partly.. last time AF still appeared a couple of times so I'm still wary and worried about that.

Took the test then shoved it in my pocket while we got ready to head out in a hurry, and only just remembered to check it within the window (not that that's a problem).. was very surprised.

What's wrong with handjiving Boo? Wink

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 01/02/2014 20:24

Congratulations Musical! I was pretty sure I was pregnant with ds1 and ds2 before I did the test, and the same again in September before miscarriage, I was feeling cramps and pains and both times i could feel things happening, and I have never had period pains so for me it's a quick indicator if I get cramps that it is pregnancy related. Wouldn't stake my life that I would always be right as there is always a chance I could suddenly get AF cramps....but I have been having them again this week. There, I've said it. But not convinced there is any point testing yet as will only be 9dpo tomorrow.

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 01/02/2014 20:40

Oh and viewers were a load of bull. They told estate agent they don't like it as I don't have a kitchen diner and they are not wanting to do any work to knock them together. Floorplans show that its a kitchen and a separate dining room! Why on earth tell him what you are thinking of offering before viewing and then giving crappy feedback like that?!!

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 01/02/2014 21:07

Yay Musical! Hurray for you! Brooking that no scary things happen and it's all very normal and boring.

Dino, so sorry to hear about the food poisoning - totally get the listeria panic! How are you today, lovely? I'm sure it's not listeria and the baby will be absolutely fine. I am Brooking No Argument on that front.

Loopy, cramps and period pains= BFP? Looking forward to the end of next week!

Geek, I love the daily updates! And the spreadsheet. Grin

Beedle, how are you doing?

Fox82 · 01/02/2014 21:15

Congratulations musical! And sounding very exciting Loopy! Seems to be lots going on around here lately Smile

GreenOlives · 01/02/2014 22:51

Brilliant news musical! Grin Feel free to post a pic on FB One of my favourite things at work is testing for pregnancy - I love the thrill of 2 lines on a test even when it's a strangers! Grin Sad but true Wink
Loving your experiment geek! Grin

The Great Trigger Testing-Out Experiment - Day 5

10 days past trigger
8 days past egg collection
6 days past embryo transfer

pic to follow on my profile

Test Stick 1 - FRER
By 6m 30s a very faint ghost of a line was just visible at certain angles, in bright but indirect natural light. It was no darker by 10 minutes and is 'not visible' more than it is 'visible'.

Test Stick 2 - Morrisons's own brand
Testing with this stick discontinued due to no line appearing yesterday.

Test Stick 3 - CBFM ovulation test stick
Estradiol line (on the left) slightly darker (indicating lower levels) than yesterday, but only fractionally. LH line almost non-existent.

Addendum In all previous tests, 'Superdrug' should actually read 'Morrison's own brand'. I must have gone onto autopilot the first day, then I just copied and pasted the headings on subsequent days. Sorry!

Comparison with testing out of last cycle's trigger
The triggers used for each cycle were different. The previous cycle was triggered with 5,000iu of hCG under the brand name Pregnyl. This cycle was triggered with 6,500iu of hCG under the brand name Ovitrelle.

FRER was not used last time until 11, 12 and 13 days past trigger. The last three days' results on FRER of this cycle (8, 9 and 10 days past trigger) are very similar to the three days of BFP that I got last cycle. However, the Morrison's own brand tested clear at 9 days past trigger last time, identical to this experiment's findings. I can't say for certain, but it looks more likely that the FRER last time was picking up the hCG from a failed/incomplete implantation, rather than residual trigger hCG.

keepitgoing · 02/02/2014 10:39

I agree geek, looks like sth happened last time. I don't know if that's good or bad.
now waiting for the lines to pick up again Smile

musicalmrs · 02/02/2014 11:14

I agree Geek, it does sound like something happened last time. Brooking that we see the lines pick up now :-)

Thank you Olives. With my parents today (and in laws yesterday) so haven't been able to find a moment to take a picture. Will put it up on MN later.

Feeling very AF-y, so saving the other stick in the pack in case it arrives, so I can test after. This is what happened last time, only I didn't test until a week or so after AF.

Rubbish about the viewing people Loopy. I hope someone else comes along soon. We're tentatively house hunting now, as whether this is sticky or not we can now save enough to cover my location-dependent income for a few months, if we move at the end of the year..

SantaMaybe · 04/02/2014 08:44

Geek where is yesterday's update?! Hope you're ok lovely.

How you feeling Musical? Remember, the first 12 weeks always feel AF-like. Will be well.

How you feeling Dino?

Hope all other brookers are ok x

musicalmrs · 04/02/2014 11:58

I was wondering about yesterday's update too Geek. How are you?

Thinking of you too Dino - brooking that everything's calm and peaceful with you!

Still feeling AF-y Maybe. Also feel like I have round ligament stretching already, can't fit into jeans (bloating I suspect) and can't sleep properly. Rather worried, they all seem a bit intense as I'm only 4w if my ovulation date is right.. :S Also got a dilemma - one of the groups I'm working with want to book the date for a national radio station to record them, and I'm supposed to be there to be interviewed. The ones they want are bang on when I'd be due... but it's way too early to say anything... :S

How're you? :) How goes the decorating and the mat leave? How exciting it's so close!
