Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture!

Best of luck red and welcome emma and hibou. Strangely, I was thinking about hiboux last night or the night before as I came across a woman called Hibou and I think I'm right it's the French word for owl? Sweet name, eh?

Well, cosy, the psychological warfare took a childish turn as I left for work. Bit of background - I have an assisting role to a professional, with a view to being said professional in due course. My said professional is unbelivably shit at her job so I have been doing most of the work for the last few months... and she is not the least bit grateful. I am more or less fed up of it, have been complaining to management since day one and nothing doing. So today I snapped at her over something very trivial and then went to speak to a manager. She saw me talking to the manager and all seven levels of hell kicked off. She went to work in another office, complained about me (she seriously would not have a job without me!) and made the atmosphere very unpleasant even with saying next to nothing. Then as I left, she was doing something with her back to me and she refused to turn around so I had to pass a message on to the back of her head. Idiot.

As I've said before, I don't think all this stress is helping with the TTC!

beetlehope · 13/02/2014 22:37

Hi I'm in the old enough to be your mother (almost) hi all Emma and HIb.

Ertd better happen one day - I may explode - possibly should stop eating that would help!

DH can't take his Tupperware in Tom as shift has changed - think he may have requested it not sure he's too keen on taking his goods to docs reception x

Red you are so committed to this process I have every bit of me wishing this to work for you . I feel but guilty as I really don't think I could go through that - I can barely track my period ( when it was reg as clockwork ) and now I'm really clueless! Xx xx

Minion · 14/02/2014 08:44

Hi new folk! Welcome, welcome.

red that's a bit gash! I too hate waiting, am so impatient nowadays. I feel your pain, but I've still got me ol' pom poms out shaking them all about, for the remaining frembryos.

Ladies, apologies if this irks someone but I really feel the need to ask. My FB feed is full of people giving valentines stuff to their kids, gifts, card and special brekkies. Is this a thing now? I noticed it last Easter when people were giving cards and gifts out, but, really, valentines day?
No wonder people are skint if this is the sort of thing they are getting up to nowadays. Feel sorry for my poor kid (if s/he ever decides to put in an appearance) they'll be the one who never gets anything on such a minor 'holiday', evil or what? But it's getting ridiculous now.
Right I'll step off the old soap box.

Talking of valentines, have you all received a card? Husband and I said just cards this year, what with the house and all, but last night before coming home from work he calls and says he's gotta to go out to inspect an engineer, this was a fib and he walks in an hour later with pink roses and 2 dine in for £20. Then he whips out a bag and has bought me truffles and and charm for my Thomas sabo, bless him.
So natch I feel like crud cuz I didn't actually buy him owt but a card, so he got a little surprise last night and this morning.. Wink wink.
A woman's go to problem solver! Hahaha

So, all going well on the JSing still. POAS OV one, last night after quaffing half a bottle of red, and the line was so very very faint, thought great, I've missed the surge.
Decided to do one this morning, straight away, I know, I know, wait till afternoon, but hey I'm impatient, and there's a dark line. Not as dark as the control, but I imagine it'll get darker throughout the day, so hopefully all things on track!

Phew. Sorry about the essay, tell minion what your day is shaping out to be like x

lil1ady · 14/02/2014 09:34

Hope you all have lovely valentines days viroids

minion I'm with you....my dh is 31 and his mother still gave him a card and present on val day until last year I think. we've been together for 9yrs and married for 2 ffs! it really really makes my blood boil! she better not turn up with one today!

red its a hard road but try and find the positives, you have more fremryos than you did last month Smile I also have all but my legs crossed and the pom pom's out for you

hi to the new girls. welcome!

Emma2590 · 14/02/2014 09:42

Happy v day viroids :)

I have nothing today :/ dh was out of work up until monday so it all kind of went out the window. Does putting my cape on count?

Fingers crossed for red

FurryScoob · 14/02/2014 10:06

Happy valentines viroids!
Hello newbies

Good luck to red & your little embryos

minion never heard of giving cards to anyone other than OH's on v day but my local card shops selling them for grandparents & pets this year!

I woke up to a lovely card and a Thomas Sabo charm too!
I've got a silver cat with sparkly eyes. I've got DP a cd & were off to a posh pub for tea, then shagging just for fun if we feel like it! must save up energy for shag week

JuniperJones · 14/02/2014 12:02

Oh look at you all, so romantic! Just another day in our household and meeting a friend for dinner. DH has suggested we go out tomo, think that'll be nice Smile

Thank god it's Friday!

aylesburyduck · 14/02/2014 17:54

How do gals! Hope you're all planning on getting those capes on would be rude not to do it today Grin

lil1ady · 14/02/2014 18:06

oh ayles do I have to? we've managed 9 times this month, 6 in the last few days, consecutively! mind you, if I could convince dh to DTD tonight that would be Zita's magic number 10!Grin

Redshoes56 · 14/02/2014 19:16

Happy Valentine's Day, girls! Both of our embryos were able to be frozen :) So now we have our little pre-Christmas snowflake and our little V-day snowflakes. Let's hope that the genetic testing comes back (7-10 days) good on both. I feel encouraged.

We don't do cards or gifts. We've traditionally had White Castles and wine on Valentine's. White Castles, since most of you may not have had the pleasure of trying, is a fast-food chain mainly on the east coast with the best little cheap slider burgers. It's a cult thing, people either love 'em or hate 'em. Usually our wine costs more than our dinner Grin. Tonight we'll share the WC's with my parents since we're driving out to see them.

I am feeling extremely impulsive today. I think I might go trade in my car for an SUV. We've rationalized that even if we don't have kids, after the winter we have had, we could use the all-wheel drive, and we also need extra cargo and leg room. I don't know what made me wake up this a.m. and say "let's buy a car" but I think we might do it! We are test-driving in a few hours. We're crazy but we've been through a lot. We deserve to do something crazy! Right??

DulcetMoans · 15/02/2014 08:28

Was just another day in this house too. We never do cards, for any occasion. He did cook my fave meal and I made cake though so that was a treat.

So pleased about your eggs red! Another 7-10 day wait though - jeez! You must have patience if a saint by end of this process!

Neighbours started drilling at 7.55 am, if there is a double murder on TV later it was probably me. They do it all the time! They are retired, they have all week to do this shit when we are at work, why wait til Saturday morning?! To bother me, that's why!

Grrrrrrr!

ZingSweetApple · 15/02/2014 09:08

yay for more snowflakes Red!Thanks

Minion · 15/02/2014 09:19

Woohoo for little flakes of happiness red all things! but legs, crossed for you here x

DulcetMoans · 15/02/2014 19:31

Where is everyone?! I keep logging in and nothing. Please tell me what exciting things you are all up to that is distracting you!!

Nessalina · 15/02/2014 19:40

Slow weekend on the thread! Well I was in work this morning, but now I'm off for a whole week - hurrah! Grin
Heading home to see my folks tomorrow, staying til Tues, which unfortunately clashes with me icing, at least according to my usual cycle.
Bit confuzzed though coz had epic EWCM on Thurs, which seems way to early for a Tues ice... Got our capes on Thurs night, so if it was early I'm hoping we caught it!
Thrilled that you've got another lil' frembreyo in the bank Red! One step closer!!! Grin

lil1ady · 15/02/2014 20:12

I'm here! been in a road trip for dh to get suit fitted for his friends wedding in April
if anyone needs me I'll be in the symptom spotting cave with the unicorn. need serious hooyas here!

lil1ady · 15/02/2014 20:13

oh and congrats on more frembyos red did I read correctly that's 2more on ice so 3 in total?

beetlehope · 15/02/2014 21:21

what weirdo gets a valentines for a pet or granny! I have to persuade DH to join in as he says it commercialised crap. He did get me beautiful flowers and a card and though he is mostly silent he always manages to write something beautiful in it. Oh and the flowers were - as requested not the ones wrapped in red and costing a fortune just for v day ,they were good old M and s and very lovely.

We have been 'just shagging' as the fred says as no idea whats occurring with ERTD.

LILLDAY bless your mother in law but I think that may freak me out a wee bit!

Dulcet don't you just love the early weekend DIY enthusiasts - my neighbour is always quiet until you need to sleep during the day (DH works shifts) then he starts playing guitar!

aylesburyduck · 16/02/2014 15:36

I am grrrrrr..... Mr Duck and I gave been away this weekend - v romantic and much shagging.

Have stupidly popped in to see my mother and she has not shut up about dsis's amazing child and how amazing said child is and how amazing dsis is.

How to make yourself feel total crap in one easy step...

JuniperJones · 16/02/2014 16:48

Afternoon, sorry about your mum being so insensitive ayles, nothing quite like an unintentional stab to the gut is there?

I had a little chat with mum today about it all. I was possibly a bit more negative that I actually feel, said I didn't hold out much hope for it all and was mostly resigned to not having kids. I think she was a bit upset, as was I. This is so hard on us as women, our partners and wider families, sometimes, eh?

So feeling a bit down. We're starting loads of work on the house which means we have to take everything out of the living room and neither of us can be arsed. After such a shit week at work I just want to sleep and eat chocolate, which is what I did yesterday! Trying to stay positive though, acupuncture starts on Wednesday and the therapist seems really lovely in her emails. And it's not rained today so small mercies, eh?

Hibou7688 · 16/02/2014 17:26

juniper yes it is the French word for owl! It's my favourite French word! Although it isn't my actual name.. You met a woman with it as her real name? Never known that before!

I'm cd32.. Last cycle was 38 (i might've already said this) probably not the 'right time' at the min but hey, going to carry on with the just shagging regardless!

aylesburyduck · 16/02/2014 20:37

Thanks Juniper

I do have to just learn to suck it up and not let it get to me...easier said than done though isn't it. I feel like I am being constantly compared to my sis, and I am a bit exhausted by it to tell the truth.

Thank goodness OH is not fazed by this - he just lets it wash over him whilst I am just left feeling like a failure and that I have to run twice as fast just to keep up.

I swear if I won the lottery, had octuplets, and found the cure to the common cold all on the same day DM would turn round and say "oooh but did I tell you?? Dsis has just told me that Dniece has just picked her nose"

I am being childish and I need to grow up and poke my tongue out at Dmother and Dsis (Dniece is very gorgeous though)

Nessalina · 16/02/2014 21:22

Grrrr, poor Duck Confused
I'm pretty lucky that my DBro is nowhere near procreating (at least I hope not!) and even if he did, my folks are pretty sensitive, so I hope they'd shut up about it!! Have you thought about actually telling your mum how crap it makes you feel? Maybe she doesn't really what a moose she's being?

OP posts:
Nessalina · 16/02/2014 21:22

OP posts:
aylesburyduck · 16/02/2014 21:58

Aww thanks Ness I have gently tried to put my point across because both DMum and DSis are cut from the same cloth...They are very cliquey and can be spiteful and thoughtless.

When I've mentioned it before my mum didn't take it at all well, sis ignored me for months. It's a long story but sis has always been my mum's favourite - families!! Stressful and incredibly hard work. I hope I don't make any baby ducks feel excluded like this. Am rambling on must be bedtime.

Night night viroids xxxx
