Conception

When's the best time to get pregnant? Use our interactive ovulation calculator to work out when you're most fertile and most likely to conceive.

You can do it by charting, analysing, testing, and worrying, but we prefer... JUST SHAGGING PART 20!!

Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

Redshoes56 · 06/02/2014 22:48

lil they would put them in after 5 days of dividing in the lab...so Thursday? Friday? Not sure! I sure do hope it works. This has been quite a process and I am ready to just take the plunge into mommyhood!

lil1ady · 06/02/2014 23:16

We're all rooting for you red! just don't forget us all here when you graduate in a few weeks Wink x

Redshoes56 · 06/02/2014 23:20

Grin You ladies have been the most amazing support system. I have shared more here than I have with people in RL, even my DH in some cases. It's nice to have a place to ask questions, rant, hide and ceelbrate. I've been on these threads for a year and a half, and am so happy to see people like mrsbri come back and share that their little ones are here. You know that I will do the same! Sniff, sniff.

Redshoes56 · 06/02/2014 23:20

*celebrate!

CosyTeaBags · 06/02/2014 23:46

Oh Red that's exciting, good luck!

I haven't been here long, so I haven't followed your back story, but just in the short time I've 'known' you on here, I've been really rooting for you - our JSing Sister from across the water!

Hope those heavy ovaries are ripe and juicy, and I really hope this week goes well for you Flowers

DulcetMoans · 07/02/2014 13:07

Defo no longer spotting. Just some random 23 day cycle. Which is confusing for the 21 day blood test I had this month... I would call the doctor but not sure how I can! Maybe he could get me another test though as what is the point in 21 day bloods two days before AF?!

Good luck for tomorrow red, all sounding positive though!

Someone bring some more happy news!

JuniperJones · 07/02/2014 14:26

Best of luck for tomorrow red, hoping those ovaries are juicy! (things you never thought you'd type...)

Ugh, think my awful colleague who is shit at her job is pg again and that's sent me into a bit of a downer. I've forgotten what it's like to have a steady state of emotion for more than a fortnight or so...I must've been able to do it once!

Any weekend plans, shaggers?

Redshoes56 · 07/02/2014 14:48

Ha ha, juicy... juniper I can't tell you how many funny things have been uttered about my insides, mostly from the doctors, such as:

"Your [uterine] lining looks beautiful!"
"They [follicles] are nice and juicy!"
"There's the big one [lead follicle]...now where are the bridesmaids [slackers]?"

MissHobart · 07/02/2014 15:36

Grin @ Red Fx for the Embie's!

lil1ady · 07/02/2014 17:16

in tears at bridesmaids red! Grin

Binglesplodge · 07/02/2014 23:06

Holy shitballs. My second post here: JSing definitely works... ERTD was due today, tested and the blue cross (sainsburys cheapie) had appeared by the time I got out of the bathroom to wait with DH. Bloody hell. I was so sure my period was coming: I've had odd cramps all week.

What the hell do I do now?!

Nessalina · 08/02/2014 01:06

Congratulations Bingle!! Grin I hardly feel we can take the credit for that!
What do you do now? Try not to start worrying lol, getting upduffed is nearly as stressful as TTC! Wink

ZingSweetApple · 08/02/2014 05:31

bingle
congrats!Smile Thanks

implantation pain feel the same as period cramps, so very normal and nothing to worry about.

Minion · 08/02/2014 08:44

bingle
It was a lovely, albeit flying visit from you in JSing land! Congratulations, wonderful news,
red great news. Pom poms are out, shaking it all about in anticipation for you! Go red, go red!

CosyTeaBags · 08/02/2014 09:16

Congrats Bingle!

Dulcet - damn the spotting confusing us and getting our hopes up eh. Sorry it got you this time. Just wanted to say don't worry about your Day 21 test - I've had two, both came back with low progesterone, but then period came and I realized both were on the wrong day (one way too early, one too late). GP is happy to do another test once I know the best day to test (hence the contraband bbt) and said that they'll just keep testing until we get it right.

If your GP is sympathetic, they'll understand that a poor result from a test on the wrong day is stressful and better to persevere until you know you've got the right day. And if your GP is not sympathetic, ask for a different one.

lil1ady · 08/02/2014 13:51

congrats bingles That's 4 bfos this year now isn't it?

hope all goes well this weekend red

DulcetMoans · 08/02/2014 15:31

Thanks cosy, it is really frustrating. Just can't understand a 23 day cycle! It wasn't the GP, was the doctor at fertility clinic this time so not sure how I can get hold of him. This is my second too and now both are low, this month came back as 14.9 according to nurse yesterday. Will just have to try and forget it and wait for appointment in may.

Congrats bingles! Any tips for us??

Binglesplodge · 08/02/2014 16:00

No tips, I'm afraid, dulcet - we JS'd 4 times in the week around when I thought I might ovulate. Total fluke. No monitoring things or taking temperatures or anything fancy. It was our first month of trying.

To be honest I was convinced it would be a negative so the only advice I can honestly give is don't think that period symptoms mean you're definitely out. Until ERTD arrives you're definitely in with a chance!

Good luck to everyone: I'll still be reading and hopefully this will be a bumper month for the JSing crowd!

Redshoes56 · 08/02/2014 22:47

Holy hell bingles that's fantastic! I am so glad you got a nice, fast BFP surprise :) yay!

The procedure went well today. I have been sleeping a lot, decently bad cramping but I have a heating pad and lots of cookies. 6 eggs - 1 more than last time. It is still not a huge number but I am hoping it is enough. We get the fertilization report tomorrow. Think good thoughts some more!

MissHobart · 09/02/2014 08:09

You only need 1! Good harvesting! Grin

CosyTeaBags · 09/02/2014 10:54

Oh good luck Red really thinking of you. 6 is great, do they add those to the 5 you already have on ice, and choose a few of the good ones?

Take care of yourself today Flowers Brew Cake
