Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

Hi Viroids!

I was on threads 13 and 14, I think, or 14 and 15...I was also on another TTC thread with Dulcet

I have a 7 month old DD and I'm now 14 weeks' pregnant with DC2. Not much JSing the second time round, it has to be said...definitely assisted with contraband and targeted DTD!

Anyway, I've got two and a bit packs of Pregnacare Conception I'm happy to post to anyone who wants them. Just PM me your name and address.

I've also got the Zita West guide on getting pregnant, but I'd need the postage on that one. Again, let me know by PM if you'd like it.

Good luck with your JSing!

minion

c'mon....spill dem beans....opk or bfp?

1974rach · 05/02/2014 20:54

hello mrs bri

just put the kettle on - you want a cuppa?

MrsBri · 05/02/2014 21:06

Hi Rach

Only if it's decaf as I've had my caffeine quota for today, sadly! :-)

Minion · 05/02/2014 21:11

Frig didn't realise it had come across as pg sticks, just OPKs I'm afraid.
Not entirley sure how dark the 2nd line has to go, and when it does, when should I be getting busy?

Redshoes56 · 05/02/2014 21:28

Hi mrsbri!

minion get busy all the time. Isn't that the JS way? :)

Redshoes56 · 05/02/2014 21:46

To offer you a serious answer, minion, when the sticks detect the LH surge (second line matches first line on most of them), you're in "prime time" for the next two days or so. Get busy!

DulcetMoans · 05/02/2014 21:56

Oh mrsbri! So good to see you. Can't believe you are onto number two, congratulations! Whatever happened to newbie/peardrop? She got her BFP I think!

min, meant to be as dark or darker than control line. Or as near as you can get. Just keep at it!!

lil1ady · 05/02/2014 22:45

hi mrsbri congrats congrats!

minion I ov the day after the opk is as strong as control line. a few cycles I had 2days of pos opks and ovd the day after the last pos. I also find the line gets slowly darker over a week or so before ov. hope that helps. I assume this is to calculate day 21? are you using bbt as well?

you lot make me want Jaffa cakes! Grin

Nessalina · 05/02/2014 22:49

There is NO WAY Minion would be so blasé about a BFP - definitely naughty contraband OPK! Grin
Sorry for all those that ERTD has pounced on, and a big ol' hooya for you symptom spotters!!
I have yet another preggers friend!! A v.good friend actually, so she texted to let me know before she went proper public which was nice, and as she already has a little girl I wasn't too surprised that they're expecting a sibling. Still a bit of a kick in the teeth though Confused

OP posts:
Redshoes56 · 05/02/2014 22:55

Kick in the teeth is putting it mildly. Feel your pain, nessa: Woke up today to another lovely Facebook photo of an old friend from high school patting his wife's growing belly, and in the comments additional friends of mine posting "OH! I'm due right after you!" I'm about due to effing kick all their teeth in.

End rant.

Redshoes56 · 05/02/2014 22:58

I really won't kick any pregnant women, to be clear ;)

Redshoes56 · 05/02/2014 23:06

Although...can I add that Mrs. Posts 40 Times Daily About Every Stinkin' Thing My Kids Do should also start wearing a mouth guard in case my legs start swinging? "just signed and up for Soccer for the Spring . Yay, so excited!!!" Stop. Just stop. And don't capitalize soccer or spring.

Ok, now the petty rant is really over.

MrsBri · 06/02/2014 00:21

Hi Dulcet

Yes, Peardrop has an 8 1/2 month old boy :-)

She thinks I'm mad too, btw!

We decided that we may as well remain knackered while we are already in that state (though we are not really anywhere near as sleep deprived as we were. Gone are the days where counting to 4 was impossible!).

I really hope you all get success soon. You deserve it.

Minion · 06/02/2014 07:13

Haha, no I'm not one to be blasé like. Over reacting, yes, but def nor blasé.
Right so I shall hop on the good foot and do the bad thing with purpose when it starts to even resemble a line. I'm even doing it every other day (all even days as it just seems right)(OCD much), and I'm supposed to OV on the old valentines day too.
Too right I'm going all guns blazing this month. I need to be grounded before summer season starts, ha.
Oh yeah and I would like a sprog xx

CosyTeaBags · 06/02/2014 10:20

Go for EOD Minion then you're hedging your bets.

Well since my 'every day for 9 days' marathon did frig all this month, I'm at a loss. I had stupidly told my Mum about the spotting, and how that was unusual and could be a sign of something...

She called yesterday to ask whether ERTD had appeared. I nearly burst into tears, told her it was 3 days early. Then she said "Well you'll just have to try harder next time".. I said "It's not possible to try any harder than we did!!".. exasperated.

When I got up this morning, I was so dizzy I couldn't walk in a straight line and nearly walked into the wall! Then I nearly puked and thought "Oooh symptom?" before reminding myself that I'm suffering a heavy period so I'm highly unlikely to be pg!!

I'm actually away for 3 nights over my probable icing time this month, so that takes the pressure off a bit. It probably won't work, so I'm not going to worry. It's quite nice to have a brain break for a bit.

Lovely to hear some success stories MrsBri it does bring hope to the rest of us. Can I ask you how long you were trying for before you got your first BFP?

HungryHorace · 06/02/2014 13:13

Hi Cosy!

It was 5th cycle the first time. I had my last Depo injection in December, then went onto Microgynon in February instead of having the injection.

I came off the pill in May then got pregnant in the Sept-Oct cycle.

My cycle never regulated prior to my BFP. And didn't again after DD before I got my BFP this time too (3rd cycle).

MrsBri · 06/02/2014 13:14

Oops, that's me under my name change!

DulcetMoans · 06/02/2014 13:41

Wow, feel like you were with us longer than that MrsBri! Great news about peardrop too. Odd though, feels like an age ago and at the same time feels like no time at all has passed. My main change in that time is getting married! I now have a DH rather than a DP!

Oh cosy, you have grounded me. I just came on here to say I have some spotting 6 days early and I never get spotting but you have reminded me that it could be anything or nothing. I will calm myself with a hooya!

MrsBri · 06/02/2014 13:47

Congratulations, Dulcet. :-)

Did you have a lovely day? Was it last August?

It does feel like forever ago...life is very different now!

CosyTeaBags · 06/02/2014 14:22

Sorry Dulcet don't let me bring you down though, one woman's spotting could be another woman's implantation....

But be wary of letting a new symptom get your hopes up but still hopeful for you

ZingSweetApple · 06/02/2014 14:28

congrats on brand new BFP(s)!

red
how are the ice ice babies doing? any news on next step?

DulcetMoans · 06/02/2014 16:32

I know cosy. I will stick with caution though. Just getting a stupid 23 day cycle maybe. Stupid body! I could so with a nap too though... shhhh!

It was August MrsBri, and it was amazing. Had such a great time!

Redshoes56 · 06/02/2014 20:09

Hi, zing! I am not sure where you left off. The short version is we ended up with one viable (after genetic testing) embryo that's still on ice. Doc recommending doing a second cycle to attempt to bank more since it'll be even more difficult to stimulate me in the future. I'm in the midst of that now. I just got the call actually - taking the trigger shot tonight and going for the egg retrieval on Saturday morning. Wish me luck! This time around my ovaries actually feel heavy and huge, and I have period-like cramps. I hope that's a good sign that good stuff is cookin' in there.

We had a good laugh last night. Well, at least I did. I said, "What if the eggs all ovulate early by accident, and our romp from the morning gives us octopulets?" The look on his face was priceless!

Redshoes56 · 06/02/2014 20:10

*Doc recommended, rather. I got my verb tense all wrong there!
