Um hello, newbie, ttc, needing a place to talk to people :)

I've been reading the site for ages but decided to sign up as need an outlet and place to talk as ttc is quite secret and it's not something I have loads of people I could talk about it with. Plus I'm quite shy and my ovaries aren't something to bring up at social gatherings!
I'm 31, came off pill in October and me and boyfriend have been ttc since. I didn't know how long it would take to get back to normal as had been on pill for eleven years. Turns out it took four weeks, and am now on third AF since coming off, so annoyingly normal in one way! I'm getting my head round all this tracking stuff but don't want it all to get clinical with the fella as it takes the fun away!
So just wanted to say hi and hopefully share in people's stories. It's not all as straightforward as I always thought, and I'm always the one that would start panicking something was wrong with me. I'm pleased I found somewhere I can just write it down if nothing else.
So, hi, and hopefully can take some good advice away.

mrsb87- Is yours the clear blue one, not the first one?! If so does it mean it has to have a + in the left window and the the right window is the control window?! Sorry, never seen one of those before!! If so it looks like there is a very faint line I think!!

Oh yeah just seen the date on the first one so obviously that one's not yours!

The line seems to have got thinner and stronger. Hoping thats a good sign! Will test again in a couple of days and tell dh then as I think he might dismiss this one!

Yeah it definitely looks like a line so hopefully in a few days it'll be really strong. When were you expecting AF?

Friday or saturday, so this is quite early but I couldn't resist this morning! I didnt think it would happen this soon... I was expecting to give it a go for a few months.
I am honestly a little scared!

Yeah I think I would be too! Probably best to try and wait until the end of the week to restest and then you can be 100% sure!! Congratulations :) is this your 2nd cycle?!

No im a little embarrased to say my first I know there will be mn's who have tried for months and still nothing. I wish I could share the love around xxx

Aaargh Mrsb I'm so excited for you! Its great thats its your first cycle and I think the rest of us are hoping that its going to be a lucky thread!

Oh, and the cramping before my bfp was like really awful (even worse than usual) af cramps, so can definitely be a very good sign!

No, still hasn't sunk in properly yet. I keep remembering at odd times (it's actually bizarre how easy it is to not think about it when you're doing something else!)

Yes I caved! He's excited but will be more so when he has been paid for a nightmare job tomorrow. I dont think it's sunk in properly yet. I bought another test for the morning.

Congratulations mrsb!!! How fab to get a BFP on your first cycle! Do you mind me asking how many days dpo you were when you got the bfp?

I was convinced I was pregnant a few days ag, but now not so sure. All the preg symptoms I was having have disappeared and now just have big boobs (which could equally be a sign of AF). I did pour a glass of wine last night and not finish it because I didn't really like the taste (VERY out of character) so who knows. Only a few days til AF due so we'll find out soon enough

Only 10dpo (I think!) So early days yet. I had cramps about 3/4 days ago and my tastes have gone seriousley weird. I'm still upset after my chow mein incident on saturday! The girls at work have commented on me peeing every 5 minutes. And im hungry but feel sick at the same time.

All definitely sounds like pregnancy stuff!! Congratulations

Gennz, no we haven't gone back for two years. My Mum is planning a trip over here next year (maybe expecting someone new to visit?) so that's something to look forward to at least.

I got a little further with the doctors today, not an appointment though, just a promise of a phone call on Thursday to discuss what I want. Surely telling the receptionist I want an iud removed is enough?!

Helen - nope, no more tests! Just constantly reminding myself it's still early days, and also looking forward to seeing the midwife in a couple of weeks. The randomly hot leg thing has returned a couple of times this week...DH has designated this as my 'thing'...whatever that means!
