  1. The year of the rainbow baby. We pledge to be positive (most of the time). We pledge to cry less, shag more and swear lots. This is the one wannamummabees!

The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Congrats Suzy!! Smile

Good luck Over - I'm new here but can totally understand your anxiety. Hoping all is well and your bubba is all happy and cozy in there!

Well I got caught up in the poas madness and gave in to an i/c!! Very obviously a bfn!!
If the spotting I had yesterday is i/b then it would never show today anyway! more likely its just some weird mid cycle, pre-af slap in the face!
Will poas next week if she hasn't arrive by then!

Parsley2506 · 24/01/2014 09:14

OMG! 3 bfps!! Congrats tanny, jbrd & suzy! May your beans be sticky and your wombs be comfy from hereon in!
Sorry to hear of bfns too, it never gets easier.

over good luck today but I am sure everything will be fine and dandy. Smile

Feeling buoyed up by your successes ladies! Grin

Seasides · 24/01/2014 09:21

Loving your work ladies! What a Friday :-) understand your fears though, of course you can stay jbrd. Hope the drugs work for you and you're off to that grads thread very soon though.

Feeling a little blue and jealous. Welled up at the news this morning coz it had a baby in it. Need to get a grip. On the plus side, dh is being lovely. Cracked the stockings out last night to get the party started and he said he wanted to save himself for today as he's worked out all the dates and every other day from today works best!

Seasides · 24/01/2014 09:23

Also GOOD LUCK over! Let us know all is well :-)

HollyBen · 24/01/2014 09:25

Wow so excited for all the bfps Smile Congratulations tanny, jbrd and suzy. Sorry anout bfps deus and missh. fc it is just too soon.

Over it us only natural to be worried. With the BFP aftrt my first mc I had a scan at 8 weeks. I cried before, during and after and then had to ho back to work. At 12 weeks I cried before and during. At 20 I vrird before then more or less held it together. Let us know how you get on. I will be thinking of you x

fedupofrainydays · 24/01/2014 09:35

seasides am amazed at your OH. How proactive!!

OttersPocket · 24/01/2014 09:40

Oh my goodness! What a Friday for BFP's Grin May they all be sticky and you all have uneventful pregnancies.

Sorry about the BFN's, but there's still a chance if AF hasn't crashed the party.

Good work ladies, lets keep the posifrickinity going!

Penguin13 · 24/01/2014 09:51

Wow. What a Friday. I salute the successful shagathon graduates. What a lovely injection of hope for us all.

Those still waiting, keeping my fingers crossed that it's just too early.

Good luck Over I can only imagine how you must be feeling.

Seasides, what a lovely DH you have. Good call on the stockings too - I think I'll be searching cosmo online for some tips to keep it interesting next month!

MissHobart · 24/01/2014 10:40

Feeling hopeful deluded for next week as all the BFP's and joy has put a happy lump in my throat! Grin Oh and I've started getting womb aches/cramps today, hoping it's I/B Hmm

wingandtalon · 24/01/2014 11:04

Congrats JBrd Suzy and Tanny. Lets hope that they're all sticky beans. 3 BFPs in one week? That must be some kind of record. Lets hope it's a sign of things to come.

wingandtalon · 24/01/2014 11:09

MissHobart I'm right there with you with the womb aches and hoping it's implantation. We can hold hands and POAS together. How many dpo are you? I'm on day 6 so it's probably just wishful thinking Hmm

MissHobart · 24/01/2014 11:33

Wing - I dunno! This is my WTF cycle and only know I ovulated because a blood test said so Hmm I thought I was well out in this post mc cycle but now have a glimmer of hope so major symptom spotting! it's all in my head Grin

wingandtalon · 24/01/2014 11:58

Ahh, the WTF cycle! Mine was 34 days long. I was convinced I was upduffed. Lets hope that your WTF cycle turns into an OMG cycle Grin

champagnegoldfinch · 24/01/2014 12:13

Hello everyone

I am feeling the need for an injection of posifricinivity so I thought I'd pop in for a chat.

I was briefly on these threads last summer/autumn but left for a while when it all got a bit much (I was DearlyDepartedMrsFinch back then).

Unfortunately I still recognize a few names. Let's hope we all move on to pastures new soon...

I had a MMC last April. Baby had died at 11+4 weeks. WTf cycle was fine, 5 weeks. And I've had regular cycles ever since, thank Goodness.

We started TTC again last July and no luck so far Sad I was very lucky with my previous pregnancies (DC1: 1 cycle; DC2 4 cycles; MMC 1 cycle) so I am getting a little concerned and sad

Any way, I am off to the GPs for an unrelated issue this afternoon and might mention TTC. I am 37 soon so I might as well get the ball rolling, right? Feeling surprisingly nervous.

OttersPocket · 24/01/2014 12:15

MissHobart and wing I'll join you in the crazy spotting. I'm either 4 or 5dpo in my WTF cycle too. My boobs aren't sore (which they usually are after ov), and I've had some, TMI warning, creamy cm. I'm obviously preggo, right? Wink totally ignoring the fact that DP and I missed the best days to shag this cycle

champagnegoldfinch · 24/01/2014 12:16

Wow, congratulations on the BFPs!! Jbrd, I think you were on the Oct/Nov 2013 thread I lurked on briefly. Congrats!

champagnegoldfinch · 24/01/2014 12:18

PS I am 12DPO but have had no symptoms whatsoever (and no HPTs in the house). AF expected next Tuesday.

OttersPocket · 24/01/2014 12:23

Welcome back Champagne, I hope you're not with us too long Smile I don't think I could resist testing at 12dpo, my BFP which ended in mc showed up v v faint at 9dpo. So I'm obviously setting myself up for disappointment if I test that early this time around.

Good luck at the GP's today - be strong and tell them you want help.

JBrd · 24/01/2014 12:30

Hi champagne Yes, I was on the Nov 13 antenatal thread at some point, I remember your previous username!
Not going to join any antenatal threads before at least 12 weeks this time, it's too painful (I've said that every time and then go and join anyway). And I've been on the Pg After MC thread twice already...

Please please let me go to term this time...

champagnegoldfinch · 24/01/2014 12:36

Thanks otter. I have an annoyingly long luteal phase (15 days). I have tested in the past on 16DPO and got a BFN (closely followed by the red witch) so I won't be making that mistake again.

JBrd, I bet you have mixed emotions for your BFP. I have my fingers crossed for you.

Triplespin · 24/01/2014 12:57

hello champagnegold (formerly dearlymrsdeparted) - I do remember you. I would definitely suggest speaking to the GP to at least get the usual checks done. Don't despair though I am sure it will happen.

I say this because I am in a similar boat as you. Conceived twice naturally in 1-3 cycles and now 7 month has gone (i mc in June and am turning 36 this year). I have got my usual blood tests done via the GP (all normal) and today I actually visited a fertility clinic (as NHS in my area will not fund me in any case). I am going to have a few more tests done there: post-coital test and hycosy (to check if my tubes as clear) and a 3d sis (as my periods are a lot lighter now post mc). The doctor was v. positive and thinks that we will not need to do anything invasive or with medication for now. Also got DH's swimmers checked - 52million with 42% motility - so seems all ok in that department.

Maybe it is just a matter of time and we will eventually get upduffed. But i for one feel glad that I'm getting my checks done - so at least I can feel more assured that it is a matter of time and nothing fundamentally wrong.

congrats again to all the successful poasers. sorry about the BFNs - but it aint over. I read on amazon about the ICs btw (at least the brand I have) - lots of people have had false negatives but a positive using CB or FRER. So for those with BFNs and if AF is late - there is still some hope - switch to a diff preg test :)

Seasides · 24/01/2014 13:30

Yes, I want all the test now too triple-going to demand tube test, cyst scan and fsh test, don't recognise the others you mention though? Think it will help me relax if I know there's nothing technically wrong.

deuscat · 24/01/2014 13:45

Congratulations to Suzy and tanny. Really hope you have healthy pregnancies.

This WTF cycle is so frustrating. CD31 and the limbo is killing me Confused

champagnegoldfinch · 24/01/2014 14:06

Just gone back and read the last few pages - Congratulations, missP Grin I hope you had a wonderful day (despite the uninvited guest).

deus, my WTF cycle was about 35 or 36 days.

EnglishGirlAbroad · 24/01/2014 14:35

Wing and MrsHobart, I'll join you in poas next week. Have no idea what dpo I am. I'm cd25 in my wtf cycle. Had very light spotting yesterday and even lights today! Obviously hoping that I've ov'd and it implantation! I'm setting myself up for a triumphant fall!!
Good luck at the docs Chanpagne, no harm in bringing it up. But be firm.
