The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

English I'm going to poas tomorrow cos I'll be on cd31 although obviously it might still be too soon for anything.

I hope I'm not getting everyone's hopes up but I think it's cos I feel so hopeful. I really wish I didn't cos I know it will end in tears when I get AF. I just literally can't help myself. Expect an emotionally wrecked deuscat over the next week!

unfortunately seaside I am firmly hanging on. I broke down and poas this morning (at 11DPO) on IC - BFN .... very disappointed (even though its not surprising as I have ZERO symptoms). Was really thinking this would be MY month.

I had my first blood test taken yesterday, day 21 test, and GP has texted me to say the results are consistent with ovulation!! Woohoo! I'm not out yet! Though if I caught it was only a few days ago so still think the POAS tomorrow will be negative! Oh and the fact I didn't think I would ovulate means we didn't hit the apparent magic number of 10!

In fact we had a five day gap GodDamn It!

MissHobart magic number of 10? Is that 10 lots of DTD in a month? Or something else entirely? If it's 10 lots of DTD a month I don't think we hit it very often. We always start off well and lose enthusiasm to wards the end. Oh well. Having said that, when I conceived our MC pregnancy we only DTD twice in the whole month which is why I couldn't believe it had happened!

I'm symptom spotting. Only 4dpo but I can't help analysing every single thing. I'm peeing a lot more and I'm hot all the time and I have lots of little twinges down there. But then I probably feel like that every cycle and it probably doesn't mean anything. I've made myself a promise not to POAS until at least a week after the witch is due. I just can't take the dissapoinment any more.

Wing - yup to dtd 10 times. I'm the same as you though, both bfp's happened in months we hardly did it at all, in fact the second one I couldn't even remember having sex at all in the week of ovulation!

10 times We managed 9 this month which was something of a miracle, but 10 that is some good going.

5dpo here. Glad to know I will have company otters and wing My 'symptoms' include being hungry as a horse (or should that be pig), tiredness and really cold (I am weird and get really cold when pg) so clearly I am upduffed

Hi- TTC newbie here!
I've only been off the pill for 12 days and already have an overwhelming urge to POAS. I'm very impatient and just want to know!
Shall I take advantage of that fact that tomorrow is a Friday? Or do I force myself to wait for fear that if I start POAS now will I become helplessly addicted and end up doing it every Friday?

Impressed, some of you have probably dtd more times in a month than we have managed over 3-4 months. We have normally done avg 2-3 times just over ovulation days, once before opk positive and then normally twice after that. Followed the same for the last two bfps, so don't want to change strategy.

12 times! English, I need your stamina! We usually try every other day from the day after af fucks off until ov has def happened. I'm CD8 now, so that'll be 8 times I reckon. And that feels like a marathon!

Tanny, bless you! Working motherhood does that I think. We quite often get people falling asleep in the loo at work, usually either with small kids or upduffed. And obviously really badly overworked. This must be a good sign for you!

I had the most amazing cuddles with a 3 week old today. Her mum and I were really excited about being on maternity leave at the same time. Still, she is absolutely gorgeous and I REALLY REALLY want one! Problem is, I can't imagine ever wanting to dtd again after this month's sterling efforts.

12 times is pretty ridiculous, but dh went away today and seen as I have no idea if/when i ov'd I wanted to make sure we'd done as much as we could! I'm secretly relieved he's not here for 2 days so I can have a break!

Last month we stooped bar 1 extra time after ov! And if i get a bfp there'll be no sex at all until second trimester!!
