  1. The year of the rainbow baby. We pledge to be positive (most of the time). We pledge to cry less, shag more and swear lots. This is the one wannamummabees!

The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Food urine?! Good I think I meant

tannyLoo · 16/01/2014 07:13

Jbrd, I think deuscat and I are ov buddies with you. 2ww started yesterday for me, so will be 10dpo on 24th.

Have just done our 4 nights in a row of SMEPing and DH is a broken man, bless him. Night off tonight. Woohoo!

deuscat · 16/01/2014 08:21

Prodding penis Grin you ladies really make me giggle sometimes!

Yes tanny and Jbrd I'm in 2ww. I'll be 10dpo on Friday 24th so I'm considering testing then. I have previously waited till AF due date but I don't know if I can make myself wait a few extra days! Will I need a very sensitive test to poas at 10dpo? Think I just have a basic sainsbury test.

triplespin · 16/01/2014 08:35

Thank you for the very useful ewcm and seen comparison. I was wondering the same a few days back - wanted to stop the shagathon and thought it was ewcm again, but maybe it was semen.

jbrd deuscat I will be 12 dpo next Friday. I am going to try and resist poas as don't want to be disappointed yet again. Dh is going for SA that day too! I did not know that you could take it in a cup. DH is not very keen on doing it there: performance anxiety.

fedupofrainydays · 16/01/2014 08:54

They don't even have special wanking rooms at the hospital.. How could they not?! Would make interesting singage anyway and a good visual would help those who couldn't read :)

My husband said it was pretty weird as he just had to go and do it in the loo. Imagine if ladies had to do the same thing... I would be in there all week, not exactly a turn on is it?! But no, instead we get dates wth a willycam and have to walk round in squelchy pants every day during fertile period as we wouldn't want to wash those swimmers away would we? I'm so trying one of those soft cups. Got to be a less messy way of ttc!

Sal1977 · 16/01/2014 09:05

10dpo here today ladies and definitely feeling as sick as a badger! Temps and signs are practically mirror image of when I got PG in July (MC no.3). Had to get up in the night to get a bowl in case I was sick, I wasn't, but did have a dodgy bum (sorry TMI). Gonna phone the quacks today to see about this Heparin as if I am PG want to get on it ASAP. At least I'm on the Aspirin already!

I know it's against the rules, bit if my temps are still high and no AF by Sunday/Monday, pllleeeeaasssseee can I have special dispensation to POAS then?

In other news, did anyone watch Finding mum and dad last night? I cried like a baby!!

EnglishGirlAbroad · 16/01/2014 09:17

Excuse my ignorance ladies... But what is this 'cup' I've seen a ffew of you mention!! Sounds ... errmm... interesting! Confused

wingandtalon · 16/01/2014 09:18

Midway through the shagathon here and I just want a night off! Yesterday DH asked me out of the blue what supplements he should be taking. Bless him! He's going to pick some up when he gets paid.

I've deactivated my Facebook account as I was finding it hard to cope with all the pregnancy announcements and new borns. I've found it very libertating. Infact I may never go back, I suddenly seem to have more time to get stuff done!

OttersPocket · 16/01/2014 09:27

Wing You are my new anti-Facebook hero. I'm seriously coming off it for a bit, it's getting complicated now. Not only do you have to block the pregnant fertile bitches, you have to block their partners and friends of friends and and and. It's exhausting!

EnglishGirlAbroad The 'cup' isn't your usual cuppa cup! It's a wee sterile pot given to you by the hospital/GP. Although someone PLEASE rock up to the hospital with your DP's swimmers in his 'Number 1 Son' coffee mug, that would be priceless Grin

CD 12 for me today so another shag day (And I so can't be bothered!). No sign of ov either so may be at this for a while.... And, TMI ALERT, having examined the knicks this morning with your helpful info in mind I ascertained that I don't yet have any ewcm, it's just leftover swimmer juice Blush I think the romance in my relationship is well and truly over Wink

EnglishGirlAbroad · 16/01/2014 09:59

Thanks otter... I had vision of... Wait for - a small cup type contraption we would inserts after dtd to stop swimmers coming out! bows head in shame Haha!

OttersPocket · 16/01/2014 10:08

Haha, EnglishGirlAbroad, that is indeed something that you can buy! A mooncup type thing that hold the swimmers in place. I've yet to be convinced give it a couple more months of no BFP

Sal1977 · 16/01/2014 10:09

I think it's a soft cup (google moon cup) that is being talked about. It fits over your cervix to keep all the swimmers in prime position!

OP posts:
JBrd · 16/01/2014 10:15

Hmm about the cup thing.. So you put it in after dtd?! For how long?

OttersPocket · 16/01/2014 10:23

JBrd No idea, it's not something I'm going to try! I think it's just a mooncup - the same as people use during AF. I really don't see how it could help much with conception, though it may keep your knickers dryer if you have to get up and walk about straight after sex...Wink

EnglishGirlAbroad · 16/01/2014 10:23

Oh so it is actually a thing!! hahaha! I'm intrigued!! But not quite prepared for that....YET!

OttersPocket · 16/01/2014 10:23

Oh ffs, drier not dryer! Although a dryer might help also...

Sal1977 · 16/01/2014 11:12

You could put your knickers in the dryer...

OP posts:
wingandtalon · 16/01/2014 11:59

I've heard of the moon cup thingies but have never thought of using them to keep swimmers in/knickers dry. The things you learn!

Knickers may become crunchy if placed straight in the dryer....

Parsley2506 · 16/01/2014 13:25

I've heard of this mooncup thing but I always wondered if it might not be a perfect bacteria harbourer?

Sal I give you permission to POAS!! Most definitely.

Feeling super glum today. CD27 and AF due this weekend. CM has increased, generally feeling grumpy/weepy all the time, night sweats and spots popping up, so I've basically convinced myself it's game over. I have a feeling I am going to be more crushed than I'm anticipating when the witch lands this time. First full ttc cycle post MC, so I know it's unreasonable to expect immediate pg (esp given how long it took to get that BFP) but you can't help but hope can you? Hmm

Seasides · 16/01/2014 13:27

Argh! Crunchy knickers! I just lie there for 20 mins (usually taking it as an opportunity to make dh get me stuff 'I can't get my book/phone/tea, the sperm will fall out!') with Dh's boxers wedged there then clean up. Or just fall asleep.

Sal I want you to poas tomorrow! How can you bear not to?! We watched finding mum and dad last night too, was so sad. I hope they were flooded with people wanting to adopt those boys. We were saying that if you didn't know the foster carer and 2 boys' situation, you'd just think 'what a lovely family, with two sweet boys.'

Seasides · 16/01/2014 13:29

Sorry, x-post. Of course you hope parsley, it's impossible not to every time. Don't rule yourself out yet, but maybe think of something fun and distracting to do if af arrives, even if that's free rein for a glass or 5 of wine. I'm scrapping dry Jan this weekend in honour of friends staying and af arriving.

triplespin · 16/01/2014 13:48

oh sal - how exciting !! sounds very promising. fx crossed for you and that this time its a sticky bean. If you are already 10 dpo - i say break the rules and test tomorrow. I will be checking up tomorrow.

MissHobart · 16/01/2014 14:27

Parsley - Same here, no signs of ovulation or pms, told myself no testing for bfp until late for 2 AF, now thinking about poas tomorrow just for some kind of information secretly hoping for a surprise highly fertile bfp straight away Hmm

tannyLoo · 16/01/2014 14:27

Sal please test tomorrow! Sounds promising!

Does anyone else get post ov mood dips? I'm really stressed at work and today have ended up coming home as I just sat and wept over the smallest things. It feels hormonal and it would be good to know that I'm not just going quietly mad.

EnglishGirlAbroad · 16/01/2014 14:37

Parsley - I had nightsweats when I had my bfp last month. Your not out until the bitch witch arrives. Hope she doesnt!
