This is a positive thread for all those diagnosed with High or Very High NK Cells and looking to start TTC or already pregnant on Prednisolone and/or Intralipid treatment.

Newcomers very much welcome!

Duggs!!! Flippin' hell. Keeping everything crossed for lucky number 7. And team - am solo pleased for you!

MrsP I can't advise on the aspirin but sorry to hear you have pneumonia. What a nightmare! Hopefully all the illness will add to nice suppressed NK cells. Mind you, you should be fine at this stage of pregnancy anyway.

Great to see so many old faces popping in with encouraging comments from the other side of this! I think the thing to remember is everyone is individual and has individual needs and it is good that doctors tailor things as such. The difference is that these days we have the internet and so everyone knows what everyone else is doing!

Hello to all. I'm back on Pred to start trying again soon but just had a weird one week late cycle - might be the steroids affecting it? Not pregnant this time.

Tumtimes1 · 01/03/2014 09:54

Hi all - well the time is finally almost here for me. My 12 week scan is on Monday morning. I am so nervous having never got here before. We are both hoping and praying that this all works out. I will let you know some point monday morning how i get on.

Duggs Congratulations on your pregnancy!!

bakingtins · 01/03/2014 12:19

tum FX for good news for you on Monday. Another milestone to tick off!

VillageMum · 02/03/2014 18:35

duggs congratulations! Wishing you every success!!

Abney I'm really encouraged to hear that you were over 45 when you had Lewis; gives me such hope!

Mrs P I bet you gave a hollow laugh, inwardly, at that 'the weeks will fly by' comment... they sometimes just have no idea, do they? Don't feel in the least bit silly. As baking says, feeling those first movements makes a difference. But I think ari's suggestion is a good one - if you're still getting anxious then a private reassurance scan is worth it for peace of mind.

VillageMum · 02/03/2014 18:37

Tum everything crossed for you for tomorrow!

BrandNewIggi · 02/03/2014 20:20

Has anyone heard from Choccypud ? She was well into 3rd trimester last time she posted.. Hoping for some good news!

BrandNewIggi · 02/03/2014 20:31

And Eurochick too since I'm stalking old timers

freelancegirl · 02/03/2014 21:27

I've seen euro post elsewhere and she's pregnant which is great! Euro come back and tell us all about it. And yes choccy must be almost due. I'm itching to add more babies to the baby list :)

BrandNewIggi · 03/03/2014 08:10

Thanks, Free, that's lovely news Smile

LunaGL · 03/03/2014 09:33

Duggs keeping everything crossed for you

How are you feeling MrsP? I agree with the others, private scans are not that expensive and surely worth it for the peace of mind.

Tum good luck today and Village hope your appointment goes well too.

Waves to everyone and wishing us all a calm and stress free week.

Tumtimes1 · 03/03/2014 11:12

Thanks all. Good news, the scan seemed normal and baby was fine. They have put me forward by 4 days so i am now 12w 3d. Due on 12th september.

LunaGL · 03/03/2014 11:24

WOW that's fab news Tum I hope you are able to relax a little and try to enjoy the experience

Tumtimes1 · 03/03/2014 13:09

luna I am definitely feeling a lot more relaxed thank you. It still feels like a dream, but I am definitely feeling loads more confident. Fingers firmly crossed that this all works out xxx

MrsPixieMoo · 03/03/2014 15:00

Tum hooray, hooray, that's fantastic. You've crossed an important milestone.

Village, Luna, Baking and Free thank you so much for support and good wishes. I feel a bit better in myself but still very breathless if I try and go anywhere.

I took Mr S's advice and have stopped the aspirin. Feels a bit scary free-wheeling but I guess we are all - or will all be- in the same boat sooner or later in that regard.

Will definitely think about a private scan. I can feel the occasional 'flutter' movement but not every day. With my DD I often didn't feel movements, they were few and far between, so I hoping this one is more of a wriggler.

Waves to all and thanks for being there for me xxx

Jemimapuddleduk · 03/03/2014 15:40

De lurking to say congratulations to Duggs on your bfp, I have everything crossed for you. Great news to Tum too on your scan today- fabulous news!
We had a dating scan last Thursday and there was a very wriggly little baby in there, due date 14th September. We have the full screening and Nuchal this Friday. I am in total disbelief that this has happened so quick after it taking 3 years and 3 mc's , fertility treatment and lots of drugs to get dd. I am only on aspirin this time as still breastfeeding. Don't think I will properly believe it or relax until this one is born (like last time) but I so feel a bit more relaxed. It has been scary these last 2 months without the medication and morning sickness has been a lot worse with no pred.
Anyways hello to everyone else. X

Cheerfulcharlie · 03/03/2014 16:48

Hey Duggs! Congrats on the BFP! Are you doing the intralipids, hydroxy and pred? Great to see you back!

And Tum and Jemima congrats on your scans!

MrsP sorry to hear about the pneumonia - that can't be very nice.

I'm due my first scan tomorrow at 7+3. I've not had too many symptoms so not really sure what this scan will bring. I've always got to at least nine and a half weeks so even if this scan goes ok tomorrow, I can't feel excited yet.

teamdozie · 03/03/2014 17:23

Hi everyone

Thank you all for your good wishes!

Duggs a BF congratulations! Try and stay positive! This seems to be lucky number 7 for me so hopefully for you too!!

Tum brilliant news on the scan! It's so nice when you are ahead! Less days to wait! Lol!

Jemima good news about your scan too!

Cheer a big congrats to you too! Hope all goes well with your scan!

Such positivity going round! 2014 seems to be a good year! Although I'm still not counting my chickens!!

Waves to everyone and anyone that I have missed!!

Ps Village how are you! ?

Mel3062 · 04/03/2014 04:48

Hi ladies I always lose this thread ;/ great reading all your news. Interesting what you say about mr s,my oh is shocked that dr g doesn't even offer a coffee machine for what were paying!! On a strict 6 month plan now after 2 lots of lit and neupogen. I'm not coping well on the 40mg pred!

bakingtins · 04/03/2014 07:11

tum and jemima congratulations! It's brilliant that you are both safely through first trimester.

charlie hope you get equally good news today.

Jemimapuddleduk · 04/03/2014 08:22

charlie all the best for your scan today.

LunaGL · 04/03/2014 08:58

Fingers crossed for today Charlie xx

VillageMum · 04/03/2014 09:32

Mrs P really glad to hear you're feeling better and that the movements are making themselves felt! Such an exciting moment.

Tum and Jemima, brilliant news about your scans.

Charlie hope all goes well for you today.

baking how many weeks are you now?

Team how are you feeling now that you're weaning off the pred?

I'm ok, had my fourth cycle SO scan yesterday, three follies this time (15, 15.5 and 20mm) and I'm about to stab myself with the old Ovitrelle pen this morning! I'm beginning to feel a bit like a battery hen Smile

Waves to all.

VillageMum · 04/03/2014 11:06

Just a quick question to all you ladies who are also on hydroxy. I was told yesterday that since I've been on it for over three months now I need a cardiac assessment and an eye check (more precisely, a retinal photograph) as part of normal monitoring. Where do you get yours done? I'm assuming the retinal photo is performed by an ophthalmologist, rather than an optometrist or optician? And what does the cardiac assessment actually involve? I understand that Mr S normally refers people to Dr John Folan for the latter and that he works both on a private and NHS basis. Has anybody been to him in the past?

Thanks in advance ladies.

VillageMum · 04/03/2014 11:06

Sorry that should be John Foran rather than Folan.
