Ewcm

I've never ever noticed this before (and I've had three babies, and constantly looked for signs when ttc them!)... But last month, in the middle of the cycle, I had ewcm.

This month, it happened again, and yesterday I... Erm... Went to the toilet and there was a huge abundance of it Blush

DP has been working away unfortunately so the only time we've dtd was last night and this morning.

Are we still in for a chance??

If you had the ewcm yesterday and dtd yesterday and this morning I would say you've covered it. Have you had any other ovulation symptoms?

Loveyouthree · 26/11/2013 11:00

Thanks for answering... I don't chart temperature or use opks etc (I know I'd stress myself out with it!) so what would you class as symptoms? Haven't any ovulation pain, but then I don't reliably have that anyway.

I get quite bad ovulation pain which I've only seemed to get since my first pregnancy.
I've tried OPKs and temping with no luck but last month just relied on the calendar and the pain as my guide and got my BFP last week Smile

Loveyouthree · 26/11/2013 11:19

Congratulations!! Smile

Fingers crossed for me xx

Love I think you are covered
Good luck!

Eminybob · 26/11/2013 11:43

Thanks good luck! Grin

I'd say you are definitely in for a chance. EWCM can appear in the days before ovulation too, so if you are really keen to ttc, I'd keep going if I were you. Also, make a note of which days in the cycle you get the ewcm because if it's not your month, it's useful to look back and try and see any patterns (despite everything seemingly changing constantly when your body knows you are ttc)
Really hope it's your month. Good luck hon.

Loveyouthree · 26/11/2013 13:44

Thanks guys :) will try to keep posted, although not sure if we'd be lucky enough to catch so soon..

Stranger things have happened :)
There's just no telling with this TTC lark
Last time for me cycle 1 and I had no idea about anything, we just stopped contraception. Now I'm desperate for number 2 and my DC is 5 yrs, we can't master it. I'm in cycle 7 now. Bloody shit!!!

Loveyouthree · 26/11/2013 14:23

I was very lucky to fall pregnant quickly with my first three.
7 cycles sounds like hard work! :(
Good luck for this/next month allthat x

Its a nightmare!!!! Coupled with a few performance issues at times, it is an up hill struggle.
I'm getting panicky this month too which is silly. I'm cd13. Normally having ewcm by now and ready to ovulate, but having nothing! Got people staying on the weekend and then DH leaves for work trip on Monday morning, so want to get it over and done with by Friday!!!

Loveyouthree · 26/11/2013 16:43

Sounds tricky. Although, I meant what I said in my OP - never noticed even a little bit of ewcm before, but clearly was ovulating! So you never know?

OP posts:
Loveyouthree · 26/11/2013 16:45

I'm on cd14, but cycles have varied slightly (think it was due to breastfeeding dd3, but that's stopped now). August babies! I've already got one (August 2008), wasn't meant to have another in the same month Wink

Ok, so just to reiterate, if there are any experts...!

Did we dtd at the right time?

Sunday 24th - EWCM
Monday 25th - lots of EWCM which gradually decreased over the evening (dtd about 8pm)
Tuesday 26th - no EWCM, but dtd about 9am.

Sorry for tmi, getting a little desperate as this may be the last month of ttc due to DP's job and other factors :(

OP posts:
allchatnicknamesgone · 28/11/2013 14:26

So, did you dtd before Monday 25th at all? What cycle day would that be?

Loveyouthree · 28/11/2013 14:40

No, not before Monday... Last AF started on November 12th..,

OP posts:
allchatnicknamesgone · 28/11/2013 15:39

It's really impossible to say. It's in the laps of the gods. It always seems to be the ones who shag the most never have lucky months, then the one month you hardly shag it happens.
So how long was the gap before the Monday?

Loveyouthree · 28/11/2013 17:06

Shag Grin haven't heard that for ages! Anyway....

Well tbh we had had regular(ish) sex before the Monday including that weekend, but we were using the withdrawal method as I chickened out of ttc for some reason. Ah well, I suppose I'll know in a couple of weeks...

OP posts:
allchatnicknamesgone · 28/11/2013 17:09

Oh well I was asking to see if he had fresh sperm. Saving them up is a no no if you are TTC and regular sex keeps sperm fresh. Therefore his load on Monday probably would have been fighting fit and ready to go!

Come back and post on this thread in 2 weeks and let us know!

Loveyouthree · 28/11/2013 17:20

Oohh that's good to know... He'll be proud Wink

I will come back to update, hopefully around the 10th...

Love Do some research on cervical position. Temping, opk's and CM didn't help me. As soon as I started monitoring cervical position, it became obvious when I was ov'ing.

Hopefully though you will have been successful this time and wont need this advice. Smile

allchatnicknamesgone · 28/11/2013 18:14

I wish I could check that but I find it so hard. Can't even use a tampon without an applicator! Lol

Loveyouthree · 28/11/2013 18:42

Thanks take, I struggle with this too unfortunately! Maybe should research more... I used to be a midwifery student as well Blush

Allchat... I can't use applicators ... I need more control over where it's going damn it! Lol
