Ok, so I'm driving myself mad. We weren't ttc. However, I've been feeling for a while now like I'm pg. I have 3 DC and some of the signs are similar. We used protection but of course contraception can fail.
I have done numerous tests over the last few weeks and all have been neg. Some of the tests had a super faint hint of something but so faint that I assumed must be evap lines as no colour to the line and could only be seen when held up to the light and looking very hard.
Anyway, so I accepted I'm not and tried to move on. Tonight I was lying down watching tv and felt a sensation like fluttering, you know, the feeling you get when you first start feeling baby move.
I looked on the calendar and we would have last done the deed around 11-12 wks ago.
I honestly feel like I'm going mad. What is going on?!!

Tried the 'answer' test. Negative, not even shiny of a line. Thought I felt flutterings again last night.
I am obviously losing the plot!

not even a hint of a line

When I got back from the school run, if I held the test at a certain angle I could see a super faint hint of a line. Might be my eyes playing tricks on me thoughHmm

Meant to say, I felt the fluttery feeling again last night and this morning. I'm really bored of this now. I'm worried that if I see the gp they'll just do a test and say it's neg then I'll feel embarrassed.
Maybe it actually is all in my headBlush

They can do an exam at this stage and reassure you

WhatsTheCrack · 26/11/2013 10:42

What kind of exam? Feeling my stomach?

As the weeks go on a hpt can fail to work due to so much of the hormone in your wee as I found when pregnant, you actually have to dilute it and mix it with water for it to register rather then use the most concentrated, might be worth a try first if you want to exacted the embarrassment at the gp?

WhatsTheCrack · 26/11/2013 11:09

Kitty - thanks, will try that...

upload the test pics here for some second opinions.

WhatsTheCrack · 26/11/2013 16:18

I would but the line is so faint I can't really catch it on my phone camera..

I was trying to earlier, it's a proper squinter.

I'll try with an old cheapy one that was more prominent..

Ok, so I tried to get a photo of the test but it just doesn't show up well enough. The line is a real squinter.
I ordered some tests online that are the same as Tesco ones (I think) so am
Just waiting for the postman.
Had more flutters. If it's not a baby moving then my tummy is doing some very strange things at the momentHmm

WhatsTheCrack · 27/11/2013 11:47

Tested again with the tests that look similar to Tesco ones. Tried fmu and diluted urine. Both negative!

I rang the drs to try and book a blood test, no apps so I just have to ring each morning.

Oh dear. That's frustrating for you. Hope you get appointment soon (or your AF or your Bfp)
Keep us posted x

WhatsTheCrack · 27/11/2013 12:04

Thanks allchat, it is frustrating. I just want to know what's going on either wayConfused I'd rather not be pg if I'm honest (but will accept it if I am) but it's very confusing to think I can feel a baby in my tummyHmm weird..

OP posts:
ginslinger · 28/11/2013 10:11

sorry I didn't check threads I'm on- I don't know if they could do it from feeling your tummy but they could do an internal exam. Sorry this is so frustrating for you.

WhatsTheCrack · 28/11/2013 19:14

No problem ginSmile
I have given up testing as there's no point, they all just come up neg..
Just gonna wait to see if I get a period and go from there. Still feeling 'movements' but after a quick google I see that this can happen, referred to as phantom kicks.

OP posts:
allchatnicknamesgone · 28/11/2013 19:18

Ah. How old is your youngest dc? I had those phantom flutter kicks for a long time afterwards. Very infrequently, but I recall them happening very occasionally even years later.
Oh well, really hope your wait isn't too long!

neontetra · 28/11/2013 19:27

I still get phantom kicks frequently now, 19 months after giving birth. My friend gets this too, and we google it frequently - it is not uncommon. Hope you get the answer you are really hoping for, either way. X

cupoftchai · 28/11/2013 19:51

I get 'baby kicks' feelings which I firmly believe r just gas. Apparently we get sensitised to those feelings from being preg

cupoftchai · 28/11/2013 20:11

(I have done a test for that very reason though!)

WhatsTheCrack · 28/11/2013 23:59

Youngest is 16 months so it's posdible..
They seem to be happening several times a day and quite a bit in the evening.

OP posts:
WhatsTheCrack · 29/11/2013 00:00

Possible

OP posts:
WhatsTheCrack · 01/12/2013 10:12

Update - really feeling lots of movement in my tummy every day. Feels EXACTLY like a baby.
Rang local midwife and she said I would have to be 20 weeks to feel movement and would deffo test positive. I felt my DC1 move around 10 weeks.. I feel like a total lunatic nowConfused

OP posts:
Metalhead · 01/12/2013 10:33

What the midwife said is clearly not true, unless she meant more pronounced movements as opposed to the bubbling/fluttering feeling you get at first.

But you really need to go and see a doctor, there's no way around it! (Especially since if you really are pregnant you'll need a scan pretty sharpish). Good luck!

WhatsTheCrack · 01/12/2013 10:39

Thanks Metal.. I am going to have to bite the bullet and see a dr I guess.. Was hopping the midwife would offer to listen in with her doppler or something, but instead she just said I must be imagining itHmm
My sense of smell is strong again and I'm still having to wee more than usual..
