OH, Bunny, good luck! Keep us all posted x

ermentrude · 01/03/2004 21:55

Hi again everyone! I have persisted with the temping and I am religiously putting the data into Fertility Friend and I still have a chart like the Rocky Mountains! When I wake I am obsessively taking my temperature 2 or 3 times as I have discovered, I sleep with my mouth open which is apparently causing temperatures slightly lower than normal! Has anyone else foun d this problem?

I am now on CD15 - out of interest, who else is waiting for ovulation? Usually have a 5 week-ish cycle so it may not be for another week or so yet.

Lots of baby dust to everyone!

ChaCha · 01/03/2004 21:57

ohhhh...i want to start all this charting..what do i do? What do i need to stock up on? Am i too late at CD1?

futurity · 02/03/2004 07:34

Morning! Well at last on day 18 there is a darker line on my stick! Not sure whether it is IT though as it is not darker than the right one but it is definetely more pronounced than it has been since I started testing. The leaflet says that if it is "similar to or darker than" and I think it is similar to it although I will test tomorrow as well.

Waved it at my DH this morning and he is now hidden under the duvet...he has a busy few days ahead of him!!

misdee · 02/03/2004 07:39

we're going to try for another bubba, but u guys have lost me with all this talk of temping, testing, OPK etc.
i have a 28 day cycle, usually get twinges (ovulation perhaps) around 14 days after last period starts.

ChaCha · 02/03/2004 08:21

Yup, AF is definitely here.
Am now reading TCYOF. Have worked out how to start the charting. Am off to Boots. Wish me luck this cycle girls. x

Azure · 02/03/2004 09:17

ChaCha - sorry to hear about AF
Misdee, welcome to the thread. Don't be put of if we get all technical about TTC - you'll soon pick up the lingo. It sounds like you have a regular cycle - ovulation is normally 14 days before your period. Best of luck!

BeckiF · 02/03/2004 09:22

Decided I will go to the hospital today. As we were going to sleep last night mentioned to dp that I wanted to try a cycle of IVF and he stressed immediately about my weight. Said I could drop a couple of stone in a couple of months, but that I wasn't even trying to diet. Made me sad and angry but not with him cos it's true. I want us to both be 100% about a cycle, so am going to ask the doc today if there is anything more she can prescribe me to help shift some blubber. SO, I didn't sleep well at all and am absolutely knackered today!!

Good luck to you regular cycled girls .. sprinkle, sprinkle baby dust your way and loads of hugs.

Azure · 02/03/2004 09:23

Really pleased you're going to the hospital appointment. I hope it all goes well today.

BigBird · 02/03/2004 09:49

back on the old cd2 again today

Azure · 02/03/2004 09:57

Sorry to hear your news BigBird

Azure · 02/03/2004 10:01

Bluestar - how are you? Any news? Is CountessDracula still TTC or do I have that completely wrong?

Azure · 02/03/2004 10:02

Just noticed Bluestar that you had quite a late ov, so early days yet.

bluestar · 02/03/2004 10:28

azure, yes quite a late ov but for me was actually earlier than expected! 9DPO and temps still high. Certainly bd at the right time but still not getting my hopes up. No other real symptoms, sore boobs (have been since ov which is unusual for me), but have a cold, so that complicates other feelings, like tiredness etc. I normally spot a couple of days before AF which would be Fri/Sat so will have a good idea whether its likely to be this month or not. Will test Sunday if nothing.

BigBird · 02/03/2004 10:35

thanx Azure....trying (not very successfully) to see the positives! This month have fertility doc appt so i'll see what he says.

Good luck bluestar and BeckiF...

misdee...get trying for a few mths and don't worry about all this lingo. If it doesn't happen then come back and you will get a lot of advice !!!

PandaBear · 02/03/2004 12:01

Well this morning I have woken up feeling perfectly well again, no nausea, not tired any more. Only thing is have slight cramping in my stomach - all the signs that AF is on it's way!! Feel a bit stupid, cos I convinced myself that I was PG, so probably imagined all the other symptoms

Never mind, there's always next month!

ChaCha · 02/03/2004 18:25

Pandabear, me too..i convinced myself stupidly!! BigBird, I am also CD2. Tomorrow is the first day i start BBT and charting. Anyone have any tips?

ChaCha · 02/03/2004 18:26

Bunny, haven't seen much of you or Quackers...you both okay?

bunny2 · 02/03/2004 18:52

Helloo, I am off out for a night on the town so shant stick around long. Just wanted to catch up on any news.

ChaCha, good luck with temping, it will become an obsession! Have you joined up with Fertility Friend? It is much better than doing it yourself.

We-he Futurity, ov at last, expect you are busy right now . I hope to get a positive tomorrow.

Good luck everyone else, got to dash but will be back tomorrow.

Hello.....I thought I would join this as dh and I are trying to conceive too. Very exciting.

I have only just started reading this so excuse me if I dont know all the details. I just wanted to tell Becki that I have PCOS too and was devastated when the dr told me as I desperately wanted children. I know how you feel about losing weight as it can be hard and it was easy for me to use that as an excuse to stay the way I was. I dont know how overweight you are but at the end of day you have to do it for you and no one else.

I joined WW and lost lots of weight. There are other side effects of PCOS which are now under control but I would encourage you not to give up hope and keep trying. I now have a ds aged 22months and we are trying again. All the best.

Email me if you want to chat.....I know how you feel.

Kay1 · 02/03/2004 21:27

Hello to misdee and collision - its lovely to see new people on this thread - good luck with ttc.

Big bird, cha cha and pandabear - i think we all convince ourselves we're pg - it seems to all be a part of ttc!! - here's hoping for next month. cha cha - definately try fertility friend - it's an amazing site where you just input your temp and a few other interesting facts about how you're feeling etc and it produces an instant graph showing when you ov etc etc. I've been doing it for 2 months now and although it hasn't given me immediate success, it has helped me to understand my body and (to some extent) what's happening!

Kay1 · 02/03/2004 21:30

beckief - hope all went ok at docs today xx

futurity · 03/03/2004 07:23

Well today is definetely the positive on my stick (day 19) Horray! Does this mean I don't need to do one tomorrow?

BeckiF · 03/03/2004 09:11

Hi all - saw my gynae doc yesterday and she has told me to get back on and stick with the Metformin on the lower dose. Explained that I was border line diabetic and need to get to grips with my weight asap. This scared me as my dad is a diabetic and is is quite bad health now. She also told me my oestrogen levels were on the low side of normal. THey should be 300-400, both times mine have been taken they have been 116 & 150. This is why they checked me for early menopause which hasn't occured (thank the heavens). Also said that if the IVF hosptal will treat me at this weight, then I should consider it as my age will start to decrease chances for me if I wait much longer. DP expressed his fears and she told him not to be such a pesamist (sp)! She said plenty women my size and bigger have had perfectly normal pregnancies, likewise plenty of slim and apparently healthy women have had terrible pregnancies. She says in life nothing is perfect and you work with what you have ... I love her attitude!

Anyway, healthy eating back in place, and we are going to give it a month before we make in-roads to applying back for treatment, depending on how I feel. If I have lost some good weight and am feeling positive about it I'll probably try to lose a bit more first. Anyway, feeling a little more positive toady (hope it lasts)

Azure · 03/03/2004 09:17

Good news BeckiF - your doctor sounds really nice. I'm so glad your appointment went well and you can now focus on the positive. Let's hope you can get started on IVF soon.
