Thanks everyone for your good wishes.

Would also like to thank everyone for their support on my ttc journey. I am still apprehensive, still got the 'old blood' discharge today (nice!) and won't really believe it until I get my dating scan I don't think.

Good luck to you all, I won't be far away, will pop back regularly.

Started spotting a little bit today
Feel gutted as there seems so little hope of ever having baby 2. My temp charts show I am ovulating and even bd 3 days over the OPK surge, it feels that this still isn't enough to get pg again. Anyone any advice on what I can do now? What would the dr say? Feel perhaps that I should start looking at other methods to conceive as, apart from mc last summer, we have been trying for about 15 months now.

jellycat · 06/03/2004 14:13

Hi bluestar. I'm not sure what you should do if AF does arrive this month - maybe a word with your doctor wouldn't do any harm. Try not to torture yourself wondering if AF will arrive, you'll know for sure in a few days. I know it's easier said than done though! I honestly can't remember feeling any different the 2 times I was pregnant until I was about 5 weeks, I had no obvious symptoms. The spotting could be anything. Hugs.

bunny2 · 06/03/2004 15:21

Bluestar . Sorry you are feeling down, it is so stressful isnt it? I sometimes despair but start to feel optimistic once af is here as I can look forward to starting the whole thing again.

Well dh had just informed me he cant perform on demand. Why the bloody hell not???? Men, pah. My mother is in the garden with ds, my aunt is going to watch the rugby on tv, it is a perfect time to nip upstairs!

Bunny
CD6 today, and thus the rollercoaster begins again..pah!!

bluestar · 06/03/2004 19:09

bunny2, know what you mean about feelng better once af is here and on her way out again. Pretty sure that she will arrive tomorrow, just gutted that we did everything to order this month and still got nowhere. Also unsure about ttc next month as it would be a christmas baby and I have so many family members birthdays at this time and it nearly bankrupts us as it is!! Still I also know that we will try regardless!! Good luck to everyone else. At least we have had a couple more graduates which gives us all hope.

futurity · 06/03/2004 19:31

I was thinking about that Bluestar. Alot of DS's friends have birthdays around Xmas as he has a January birthday so I wasn't keen on having an Xmas baby. But then again if it wasn't December then it would be around DS's birthday so can't win either way! Just being pregnant would be a start at the moment!!! I only ovulated on Wednesday (day 19) and already I have period pains...my body hates me!

Moomin · 07/03/2004 10:12

I'm going to bow out for a while. This is getting too hard and I'm being far too sensitive about what other people say or don't say. I need to be more positive and less self-absorbed. I do wish everyone ttc all the best and maybe we'll meet up in a pg thread in the future. Fingers crossed xxxxx

bunny2 · 07/03/2004 10:48

Moomin, sorry you feel like that . I hope you are ok. We are all totally self-absorbed, it comes with the stress of ttcing I think. Hope you join us again soon or, even better, join me on the Nov pregnancy thread (do we still have time to get on it?) Take care.

Having a baby at Christmas doesnt bother me, I just want a baby! Having said that, dh's birthday in at the beginning of January and he always feels people are too tired/apathetic after Christmas to celebrate.

bluestar · 07/03/2004 11:23

futurity, bunny2, ds birthday in January, dh at christmas, so expensive time but hey, a baby at any time these days would be fantastic! Still spotting so just waiting for af to kick in now.
Moomin, sorry you feel like this, but understand. I think that mumsnet is great for some support when you don't feel like talking to people in 'real 'life as they don't always want to hear about it, especially after many months of trying.

AussieSim · 07/03/2004 11:48

Thanks Azure for the well wishes.

I really didn't rate my chances this month, just having my coil removed and my DH only being home for days 16, 17, 18. I checked my Maybe Baby on 17, 18, and 19 and it didn't indicate that I was OVing - so I figured I had already OV'd and would just cool it till next month. But, I thought AF arrived yesterday morning day 30, but then I haven't had anything for the last 24hours now and am wondering about Implantation Bleeding (if there is such a thing). I'm not getting excited as having tried for so long for DS (21mths) I know how painful it can be and I never expected to fall the first month without contraception. My Gyno said it might take 12mths given that my DH is only home weekends. Anyway- rambling now.

Congrats to those who have graduated and best of luck to the rest of us still studying.

bunny2 · 07/03/2004 11:58

Oooh, AussieSim good luck. Maybe it was an implantation bleed. hope so. Are you going to do a test??

OP posts:
Moomin · 07/03/2004 14:29

I must apologise for my pathetic posting earlier on today. I'm feeling so sorry for myself this weekend, it's untrue. Please forgive me!
I'm having a mare of a period and I've just started a thread on Health about it, so any views would be welcome.
In the meantime, sorry again and see you soon xx

bunny2 · 07/03/2004 17:39

Moomin really glad you are back! Just think, you can start the whole thing again now af is here. Have you tried temping?

OP posts:
bunny2 · 07/03/2004 17:42

just remembered, you were going to temp to see if there was evidence of a thyroid condition. Did you start?

OP posts:
AussieSim · 07/03/2004 18:35

Bunny - I won't do a test. By the time I finally fell with DS I had made a resolution never to test unless I was 5 days OD. It is just too heartbreaking. I am not that hopeful about this month and to be honest I think I would be knocked for a 6 if I fell so quickly - especially after a week where DS had a tummy bug and chucked up 6 times in a night and then passed it on to his mummy and daddy - but thanks for your support. I read that only 1 to 2 % of women have an implantation bleed and some doctors don't believe in them at all.

I'm glad you are back Moomin, but it is true that when you are TTCing for a long time sometimes you just need to kick it and put it aside and live again for a while. If participating on this thread gets you down sometimes then there is no harm taking a bit of a break and coming back when you feel better.

Moomin · 07/03/2004 20:31

Thanks bunny and AussieSim. Yes, bunny, started temping today and am most put-out that's it's the low side of normal! Will do it tomorrow and next day then compare findings and take them back to my nutritionist lady.
Have bought my opks for this month. Dh and I also have an appt to see the fertility consultant at the end of this month. I'll check in on this thread to se how you're all doing and let you know how my month's been in a few weeks' time. Take care xxx

bunny2 · 07/03/2004 20:36

Moomin, have you looked at the tcoyf.com site? They have a chart gallery and in it are sections of charts of women with thyroid / low temps. Good luck with the next cycle and with your visit ot the fertility cons.

Hi All, Tested on Saturday and again this morning and BFP . Thanks to everyone for letting me spout off my concerns on this thread - and good luck to you all!

bunny2 · 08/03/2004 08:56

Congratulations PandaB. That is great news to start the week with. Are you on the Nov thread? Enjoy your pregnancy!

OP posts:
Azure · 08/03/2004 09:06

Wow - fantastic, PandaBear Many, many congratulations. What lovely news to start the week.

Azure · 08/03/2004 09:12

Oh no! I've had unprotected sex during my fertile time. What is the risk of getting pregnant??

OK, hearing about the recent success in conceiving for people NOT trying to get pregnant I thought I would try a different approach Seriously, though, was very excited to have my first "O" on Persona yesterday, followed unexpectedly by another one today.

Quackers · 08/03/2004 09:21

Congrats Panda!!!!!!!!!!Yeh!!!!!!!!!!!!

Azure, you'll get an 'o' for 2 days as the surge lasts the day before and the day of ov!!! Hope you got some sessions in!!!!

bluestar · 08/03/2004 11:21

Well done PandaBear!!
Moomin, welcome back, we all feel like this.
Azure let me know if this approach works!!

Azure · 08/03/2004 11:55

Bluestar, did AF come? Sorry to hear if it did
Quackers - you really are the Persona expert! I was a little confused this morning.
