We cannot believe how lucky we are, she is perfect!! Had quite a scary labour, at one point a hairs breadth away from being whisked in for an emergency c-section but we made it and it was all worth it for the sweet little girl lying asleep next to me. Keep welling up every time I think of how lucky we are and when she was born I sobbed.
Will come back on with full birth story when I can, but until then thank you each and every one of you, your support, thoughts and messages mean so much xxx

on a different subject - mls, nits. yuech. we had them for 6 months when dd1 was 4 - nightmare.

I'm so very happy for you, I know how long you longed for this day, & how you wondered if it would ever happen, and how scared to believe you were during your pregnancy, cos felt exactly the same during mine, but hey my lovely, you never gave up your dream, and now she is laying there in your arms and she's not a dream anymore, she's real, she's here, she's beautiful, and she's yours forever xxxxxxxx just made myself cry again!

Another one welling up, brings it all back to me how I felt when J finally arrived. I love this thread and am so happy to be part of it all.

mls you poor thing with the nits..we had the dreaded letter last wk that they're in ds' class..so we are a-combing every night which ds HATES so has to be bribed with smarties.. we had the letter a couple of months ago too & I cut ds' hair off cos I was so sick of the fuss with combing, it's just got to a lovely curly length again so I'm not cutting it again! Thankfully haven't found any yet, long may that continue!!

Still massively for the Shroom family - of FOUR! Can't wait to hear the birth story! Oh and you must please post or mail or tx a pic for us non fb'ers! Can't wait to see your beautiful little Lily! Must tell you that if Teddy had been a girl he'd of been a Lily too! Such a lovely name!

Am up doing night feed, was literally awake almost all last night with a very unhappy little chappy, burning temp, distressed, wouldn't be put down, DH discovered the cause today - the appearance of Teddy's first tooth!!!
Been such a busy time here, busily arranging his christening in 2 weeks time.. Both him and Summer are a delight and have such a special little relationship together, she makes him laugh and laugh like no other!

Sorry you're having rubbish nights :( so hard.. ours are ok at night but currently struggling with the too-early wake-ups...driving me crazy, they're awake 5.30/6 and then ds1 is just SO tired & grumpy by the end of school, but refuses to nap before it! gah! But then every few days I put him to bed super early to make up for it...he was snoring by 6pm last night so that was nice

Oh 4ever he is gorgeous, they both are So lovely that you can see that they're siblings.
So glad you like the name Lily too - we have a reason behind calling her that and at the risk of being boring I shall share it with you! In Belgium every May they have a tradition of giving little posies of Lily of the Valley for good luck - when we were ttc ds our very elderly neighbour left me a little bunch in our gate, and lo and behold shortly afterwards I fell pregnant. Fast forward to last year and a friend at work was given a bunch - when she showed me I told her that they really do bring good luck and I believe helped us get ds, so she gave me hers. The rest as they say is history

All fine here but not getting much sleep. Off to try to get a nap now before the inevitable sleepless night. I love that we have that ahead of us though, still think someone's going to pinch me and I'll wake up

Happy news - my sister is pregnant again after her ectopic pregnancy last year had an early scan, its in the right place and heartbeat seen! So happy for her, just had to share.

Oh moon that's fantastic news You all must be so happy! How many weeks is she? It bodes well that there's a heartbeat I hope she has a very uneventful rest of pregnancy...

Little Missy's just waking up from sleeping on and off ALL day so am off to feed her. Another sleepless night is on the cards for us I reckon

She's 14 weeks. I'm so excited! And so happy for her.

How's it all going Shroom? Are you managing with 2 ok? Hope you're getting some sleep, those early days are a killer.

Been a small catalogue of disasters here, cracked corner of the screen of my beloved Samsung galaxy phone last week, then the computer monitor fell forward and cracked yesterday, then my bloody tooth cracked in half tonight! !
Thank god I still qualify for my maternity nhs exemption, hopefully will be all sorted before Teddy's christening
