Crikey jaykay, no need to apologise for being down, I've been miss glum recently, it's what we're all here for so we've all got somewhere to go to say how we're honestly feeling and vent the frustrations. If it helps even a little bit I relate to everything you've said about it all. The knowing you should relax part and the actually doing it is so difficult. I almost wish I could 'unknow' things and have never made the decision to ttc so we weren't under this pressure and maybe we'd have got pregnant 'by accident'. BUT as I have had pointed out to me very clearly by the wise s souls on here, it will happen, when it's meant to, and whilst it's frustrating not having control over it, it is early days and well all get there one way our another, and when we do, in the words of mama, it's going to be immense Grin

jaykay987 · 06/10/2013 22:39

...I just hope it will be immense.......soon! Grin

panicmechanic · 06/10/2013 22:56

Had a fab time last night with lots of laughs, wine And water... So didn't feel too bad this am! Laughter is a great therapy. Today thou I have achey ovaries do you think I could have done harm with copious dancing and vino? My BFP isn't due for 10 days - my gp sister thinks I am crazy to worry ...

mama31 · 06/10/2013 23:10

IMMENSE I tell you....... :)

englishteacher78 · 07/10/2013 06:21

AF now officially late. I got very drunk on Saturday after negative result. Please some reassure me that I've not done something really, really stupid.

Choccywoccydodah · 07/10/2013 06:31

Yawn, so tired, ds decided 5.25 was the time to get up today Hmm happy I fell asleep at 10 now!

English, if af is late, you're still in with a chance so don't worry. I've given up drinking just in case, and I'm not really a drinker anyway so for me it's not a biggie. I'm sure you'll be fine. My friend tried for over 2 years to get pregnant (I think they didn't have a lot of sex!) the night after she had been on the pop with me, she got a positive test and is due her twins in December, so it can't really hurt that much Grin

indiangirl2013 · 07/10/2013 06:32

So AF came 3 days late and after 4 days of weird spotting! :( Guess this wasnt my month! Hoping for a positive one next! :)

GinandStripes · 07/10/2013 06:39

English Don't worry about it, people have done much worse when not knowing they were pregnant and gone on to have incredibly healthy babies.

I know someone who didn't realise she was pregnant until the day she gave birthday to him. She got up to all sorts of things in her pregnancy and her boy is completely awesome - really fond of roadsweepers but I don't think that was caused by what she got up to in her unknown pregnancy.

and OooOooOh, exciting - how late is AF?

Sorry to hear AF got you indian xxx

GinandStripes · 07/10/2013 06:39

Gave birthday to him???? I am obviously still very much asleep!

Babymamatobe · 07/10/2013 06:52

Well another 2 failed attempts at DTD last night and this morning Hmm don't think DH realises I can't do this without him!!! Hmm

Had sore boobs last night so pretty sure I was ovulating, looks like another BFN this month Hmm

ScienceGeekGirl · 07/10/2013 07:34

I want to cry. I've been only been doing temps when DH isn't in bed when I wake which hasn't been a problem this week. I tell you this as my temp taking isn't consistently. So I had only two temps before positive opk which were ~36.30 then went up to ~36.60 (which isn't as high as usual for post OV) but this morning it's gone up to 36.90 (usual high temp). Haven't DTD all week. Now I just think I'm out as now I think I really OV yesterday. I wanted to DTD but OH had been so tired and would fob me off every time. I'm so miserable that I've miss timed a crazy long cycle (+40 days)

jaykay987 · 07/10/2013 08:14

Sorry science. That's so frustrating. Exactly how I felt last night.

It's annoying isn't it? My DH is desperate for a baby, but Im temping, Im tracking and feel like Im taking all the stress. And he repays me by falling asleep early! aAAGzgGGHHHH!
(He's not that bad, but he's just annoyed me this weekend! )

FX you're not too late. Try again today. (This is my plan. Im in denial that ff has decided after today's temp that Im ow 3dpo)

ScienceGeekGirl · 07/10/2013 08:29

Glad it's not just me jay. I just want it to work and with my crazy erratic cycles and husband that works crazy hours it's too hard.
Also can't do it tonight as he's off nights tonight so will be getting into bed pretty much as I get home.
I know this is moping but why is it so easy for some ppl. I have OVed for the past two month when the majority of ppl finish a cycle and last month my OV was the date most ppl would call a long full cycle.

mama31 · 07/10/2013 08:59

Ladies this all sounds so frustrating for you all, is there a possibilty of having a chat with DH (without pressure just an informal chat in a nice tone) just to discuss having a baby and engage them in how exciting and amazing it will be when you both conceive.....but throw in a little bit of reality also....that if they want a little baby so much....they are gona have to put the work in too...

I know its hard when they work shifts etc but they need to realise that there is a small window of opportunity so that may mean coming off a night shift and dtd before they fall asleep for a day or 2....but that it will pay off when they get their little baby....that one or 2 days they dtd even when they were exhausted would then be worth it!!

I know this is all easier said than done but I just feel so much for your ladies when I see this, coz it has to be a joint effort and not just all on our heads....we have enough to worry about.....all we ask is that they supply the goods! Lol I know that my "sex plan" this week includes 3 out of the 5 times DH having to stay awake after nights to dtd....but I have had that conversation about the importance of making it happen for both of us therefore both of us making an unusual effort is vital....and that worked! So an honest convo may be in order ladies.....not a lecture here....just trying to help! Xo

lucyfluff · 07/10/2013 09:20

Oh onelife and mama, you literally had me crying with laughter this morning reading these posts!!! I miss you guys and chatting every day :(

TTC #1 first cycle, guess the journey starts here! Know it may take a lot longer but I still have my fingers crossed for this month! My cycle is long (around 36 days) so My period is due 22nd October (sorry don't know all the terminology yet)

Wish me luck

Xx

GinandStripes · 07/10/2013 10:50

Hi Sazzy Welcome and Good Luck.

My best friend has got pregnant twice, both on their first try - so it does happen :-)

Sazzyb1 · 07/10/2013 11:03

Thanks ginandStripes it's all very new and scary and I'm trying not to get carried away lol,

Still working out how to use this sight it's confusing!

Xx

sparklesandfizz · 07/10/2013 11:12

Hhhhmmmmm, feeling very premenstrual over w/e, resisted the temptation to test but think we are out this month. Never mind means I can take advantage of all inc bar on holiday end of next week. Will be ov again whilst we are away if af arrives therefore unlikely to be our month in nov either.(noting like being in a family room with the ankle biters to throw dh off his groove) Only our first try this month so shouldn't be disappointed but stupidly am. Will test 9th if af miraculously not arrived. Xx good luck to all testing in next couple of days.

sparklesandfizz · 07/10/2013 11:14

Oh welcome sazzy good luck with ttc - may the luck of the oct bus be with you.xx

onelifeonechance · 07/10/2013 11:14

Aw Lucyf that's not fair, i'm so sorry to hear that, it must be horrible having to wait to see, will be keeping everything crossed for you x Make sure thou post on here if you need to whilst you're waiting, we'll keep you company Smile

Yes mama, sounds like our psychic powers have failed us! Hmm Will have to give my crystal ball clean Wink

sparklesandfizz · 07/10/2013 11:16

Lucy keep us posted - hope you are wrong and all is well at the end of the week. Thinking of you xx
