'thou' is supposed to be 'you', I appear to have gone all shakespearean on you. Go fetch your noble prince fair ladies and pray lie with him til thoust is with child. I wish thee well

lucyfluff · 07/10/2013 11:27

Lol one life, I'm not even attempting a Shakespearean reply!! I will let you know and pop in now and then xx

onelifeonechance · 07/10/2013 11:28

Please do, I'll be thinking of you and hoping for good things x

Sparrowlegs248 · 07/10/2013 11:37

Hello all, have i missed anything good? Any more bfp's? Am feeling pretty rubbish tbh. DH said a couple of months ago he'd like more sex. All good, so would i. We often just don't get round to it, not bbecause we don't want to.

So this month i thought great! We will try dtd every other day for the 10 days at the middle of my cycle. Can't be that hard surely? Bloody twice is the count so far, still today to go i guess. I'm really not goid at initiating and dh started new job recently having to get up earlier and has been knackered. Can't imagine it will.ever happen for me at this rate.

No point having a discussion with him as he wants to 'see what happens' ffs.

Sorry, truly a misery guts today.

mama31 · 07/10/2013 12:26

Onelife I think we are still psychic-ish..... Lucyfluff sounds just lovely as we both suspected ;)

Notta, that's a shame.... I think you need a "sex plan" get those appointments scheduled in with DH and stick to them!!!

MarlenaGru · 07/10/2013 12:33

I PIAC this morning. Unsurprisingly it was BFN. But I feel like death warmed up and just need to know! Argh I am so bloody impatient.

It is interesting about DTD. I expected dh to be like a rabbit but I think the pressure got to him!

MrsB2013 · 07/10/2013 12:41

Oh no Lucy sorry to hear that, hope it all works out ok, fx!

I had a fixed smiley today on CD14, dtd on Saturday and yesterday, will hopefully try again tonight! The 2 app's I have are different, one says I should Ov today, the other says tomorrow?? How many days in a row is best to dtd? Should we skip tomorrow then try again on CD16?

onelifeonechance · 07/10/2013 14:31

A sex plan might be a good idea Notta, so long as your dh is ok by it and doesn't feel the pressure. We are permanently knackered and not the best at dtd in the week, pre ttc mostly had fun at weekends. But we had a chat about how much we both want a baby and both agreed that we need to up our game. Agreeing in advance does help (know it doesn't work for all) as take this morn, I think I ov'd today but got my peak yst so thought waiting to tonight to dtd might be too late so we agreed to do the business this morn before dh went to work. We were both fast, fast asleep when the alarm went off and there is no way that either of us would ordinarily have even thought of making a move but when it's pre agreed you are both committed and know why you're doing it. If he's keen on the let's just see bit then this is a fair approach as it's not like you're opking or temping etc. but I think an agreement to attempt to dtd more around expected ov time seems fair?? Understand your frustration and fx for you. And remember, it only takes once so you never know!

onelifeonechance · 07/10/2013 14:38

It's a hard one mrsb no pun intended as we dtd lots/daily over ov last month with no joy so we're taking the smep route this month. But lots seem to get preggers dtd daily and others hardly at all so don't think there's any rhyme or reason to it! If you've got no reason to think your dh has any sperm issues then maybe just go for it so all bases covered Grin

onelifeonechance · 07/10/2013 14:40

Mama, Yeay we are definitely still psychic, our powers have returned!! Smile Lucyf is completely lovely Grin

GinandStripes · 07/10/2013 14:43

okay, I have given in and googled smep...

Do we know if any of our BFPs over the month did actually work with this system?

P.S - AF still not here.

onelifeonechance · 07/10/2013 14:44

Fx Marlena, it's so frustrating waiting!

I know, this whole ttc thing affects everyone so differently. I think there is such a massive perception out there that men are up for it all the time when in reality that isn't true for a lot of them, doesn't make them odd, it's just how things are, but means they feel the pressure when it's fertile week.

GinandStripes · 07/10/2013 14:45

I meant months... not just this month, I'm being seriously bad at typing today!

onelifeonechance · 07/10/2013 14:46

Ooo good question Gin, if like to know the answer to that too! Smile And Yeay for af staying away, hope she stays clear out of sight!

onelifeonechance · 07/10/2013 14:46

English have you poas yet? Fx! Smile

onelifeonechance · 07/10/2013 14:49

It appears I can't type either gin, 'if' is supposed to say I'd!

onelifeonechance · 07/10/2013 14:52

Ok I really need to stop procrastinating and do some bloody work, I have practically filled this page by myself!!

englishteacher78 · 07/10/2013 14:52

Not yet, will do tomorrow if no AF. Have a headache Hmm is there anything I can take?

onelifeonechance · 07/10/2013 14:54

Paracetamol is safe in pregnancy so you'd be fine taking that. Good luck for tmrw, fx for you Smile

GinandStripes · 07/10/2013 14:55

english NHS choices says paracetamol is okay.

panicmechanic · 07/10/2013 14:58

English try not to worry. My gp sister says the bean isn't fully connected you your blood supply for quite a while. It was my birthday on Saturday so also had 3 large glasses of wine (which is a lot for me). I had 11 days to AF so thought it would be fine

GinandStripes · 07/10/2013 15:25

I am bored of going to the toilet every 20 minutes to. just. check.

mama31 · 07/10/2013 15:28

Hello ladies, hope you are all well! Onelife....I see you are distracting yourself from doing work....I'm so busy but feel myself getting pulled on to mumsnet to avoid doing what I should be doing :/

Well we find that our sex plan works for us, coz DH works shifts and I get so tired before bed so its good to pick times that suit us both :) DH treated me to lunch today as I prob won't get any tomorrow due to the "sex plan" starting at tomorrow lunchtime!! Lol

Onelife you are right if we didn't schedule....it wouldn't happen as much over the fertile week as before ttc I was really a weekender girl being too tired during the week, but I've had to step it up for ttc! And DH is of course very obliging as always but he has had to compromise also, so that ttc is prioritised always in the fertile window!

MarlenaGru · 07/10/2013 15:28

Thanks onelife!

Does anyone know if your temp goes up at the end of a cycle? I took mine this morning and it was only slightly high so don't think I have a fever but I feel like I am on fire!

Any good news today? There are a lot of people due o test this week so wondering what the results are?

MrsRandom78 · 07/10/2013 15:29

(Phantom?) symptom spotting here - few episodes of mild nausea and today niggly pains like I had at start of first pregnancy that were put down to ligaments stretching. Trying not to get hopes up too much. Failing!!
