The support is so helpful and plan to try and be as positive As possible this cycle. I am also a "sharer" generally in life and find it so difficult not to come straight out and ask all my friends - "how long did it take you?". Thank goodness for mumsnet I share all this.

Hi ladies, glad to see everyone seems to be feeling a bit more positive then a few days ago and dtd for fun as well as baby making. Helps our dps to feel wanted for them rather than just for a baby I agree.

Ive spent the last couple of days curled up on the sofa under a blanket with a cold from hell, just starting to come out of the other side of it now I hope, although still burning up I'm a lot less snotty now! At least its when af has been here and not in my fertile period like dh's cold was last month. Hoping to be back to normal by the time that happens. Also, af seems to be taking ages to go this month, not heavy anymore but just won't finish!

I've had +ve OPK's for the last 2 days and managed to DTD both days. I've just tested again and the line is definitely faint compared to the last 2 days. Is it worth DTD for the next couple of days or is that the time slot gone?

Babymama the positive indicates that you are about to ovulate within 12-36 hours and the surge can last longer than a day so I'd def crack on with the dtd once more or twice if you can manage today and tomorrow! You may already have done enough but that would make sure you don't miss an opportunity if you have ovulated a bit later!

I didn't test again Choccy as the b*tch AF got me :( my new stats are TTC #1 cycle #2 BFP/AF due 28th :)

I'm doing okay thanks Mama :), still gutted though and thinking I should leave DP out of the technical side of TTC as I can't stand seeing his face as sad as it was Friday when the spotting started (he looked like a puppy who had just seen his mother shot) so unless it's a confirmed BFP for me he doesn't really need to know all the crazy symptom spotting I'm doing. How are you? :)

Also meant to ask if anyone had any experience of being late followed by AF, is it going to mess up my cycle this month? Because I'm usually 26 days and ovulate day 12, 13 or 14, is that going to be different this month because I was 6 days late?

Neurotic I'm good thanks! But know what you mean, I felt like I was to blame for DH being so gutted and he didn't want me to feel that way but I was so convinced as was he that last cycle was our month...it just really was difficult. Its so hard to see their face when you tell them I know :(

All he will know this cycle is that next week we have to dtd on the days we have discussed....then after that I'm def not telling him anything til af/bfp arrives coz I feel like it was my fault for getting his hopes up and don't want to do that again.

You might ovulate a bit later if your next cycle is gona be another longer one, its hard to know unless you use opks??

Thanks Jaykay! Not sure if I will use them again next month (hopefully I wont need to if I get a bfp) don't feel like I'm stressed with using them, just confused lol I don't even know if I do ovulate as not temping yet!

This may be a really dumb question but, if the pill stops ovulation, does that mean you have more eggs left than someone who didn't take the pill??

As others have said I have learned so much the last couple of months from being on here! TTC is so much more complicated than just dtd!!

As for me, a wee update: I poas again this morning (day before AF due) and the line is stronger - not that it was faint to start with, but I reckon this is a good sign! Gonna try a different brand tomorrow as long as AF doesn't appear (please keep your fingers crossed for me) and then get a CB Digital for Tues as I'd like to actually see the word 'pregnant'. Eeek!!!

I am, Jaykay, I really am! Haha well, I've taken three First Response... And Lucyfluff was kind enough to send me some spare ICs, so I've got those....but for some reason I really want to try an Asda one as well (I kinda like them and think they're very reliable), and I want a Clear Blue but I'm scared of doing it too soon for their sensitivity and being informed I'm 'not pregnant' aaaarrrrgggghhh!!!

Raraz I'm sure you are delighted! :) and yes def want to see "pregnant" on the digi so hold out for that one just to make sure it gives you the words you want!! Even though I'd prob just go ahead and do it lol patience isn't my strong point :/

But if all other tests are saying preggers I'd say its all good! But I know you must still be feeling apprehensive until af date has been and gone!!! Good luck I hope it all works out and I'm sure it will :)

Can anyone help me with my dates please?
Came off pill 25 aug, had a bleed 29 aug (withdrawal?) had a bleed 19 sept (af?) so if second bleed was proper period I be ovulating this weekend? Is that right?

With it only being your second month off the pill thisismenow, it's difficult to say. I ov'd on cd16 after withdrawal bleed, and the same this month. Unless you've have a couple of cycles and you know the length of them, you can't tell for sure without using an opk or temping. But going off the 'norm' which is cd14 or thereabouts, I'd say your ov was 3rd-5th October :) That's only if your regular though. Your first cycle was only 23 days so it's really difficult to pinpoint.
Mine was only 26 days, and I ov'd on cd16, so am hoping it's a bit longer this month.
