Sorry hislommel, I wrote L instead of your name! That last message was for you!

onelifeonechance · 06/10/2013 10:50

Did you have a nice weekend away Jaykay? You always speak so much sense about opks, testing, temping etc, font of all knowledge, definitely follow what jaykay says hislommel, the girl knows her stuff Smile

Babymamatobe · 06/10/2013 10:52

Feeling frustrated!! 2 days of +ve OPK's and then DH has performance issues this morning and couldn't finish the deed!! Got him doing some DIY in the kitchen as a punishment LOL however I might need to give him a little reward later if I test +ve again this afternoon.

Performance issues last month as well :-( after DTD Friday and yesterday I was hoping it was just a blip but doesn't seem to be, will try again this afternoon

FX !!!

jessieagain · 06/10/2013 10:54

allchat I agree with somuchfruit I'd aim for dtd every second/third day all month as in my experience the more you do it the more you want it.

So doing it regularly all month may well increase his libido, as well as take the pressure off on your peak ov days as he may not even need to know this then.

Owlie84 · 06/10/2013 11:01

Oh no allchat I feel your pain - so frustrating!! I think Jessie and Somuchfruit have the right idea, hopefully a routine that's regular will bring about the right result! FX!

jaykay987 · 06/10/2013 11:04

Thanks one. Yep having a good weekend. DH is doing some work, so Im catching up on MN! Smile

We're here till Tuesday. I got my peak this morning, so Im really hoping this is our lucky month!

mama31 · 06/10/2013 11:21

Onelife!! I am beyond proud of your new positive attitude and effort!!!! (Big Grin :)) I'm so glad you got your mojo back......as did I ;) :)

Dtd last night just for fun which was nice not to have DH hold my legs in the air soon as he delivers the goods! Lol and our sex plan for next week has been agreed, times included as DH works crazy shifts and scheduling is vital ;) so he said "tues lunchtime then? Same place?" Lol

Sorry to those who are experiencing DH performance anxiety, I do think taking the pressure off is very important and that you don't just dtd to make a baby but do it for fun also and at times that don't include ovultation...surprise them dtd at a different time/place than usual or by wearing something sexy. I believe that if a man thinks you only want to dtd to make a baby then they will crack under the pressure, they want to feel wanted too so do it coz you love him and coz you want to make him feel loved also......

Babymamatobe · 06/10/2013 11:25

Thanks mama, I've been trying that! I've told him I don't ov till next week to see if it takes the pressure off but still not able to finish the job :-(

I'll give it another shot this afternoon ;-)

mama31 · 06/10/2013 11:33

Babymama that's so difficult for you but try not to show that your feeling the pressure of getting the deed done! Maybe plan something nice this afternoon where it can lead naturally in to dtd....

I think you should run him a nice hot bath when he finishes his diy so he can relax and unwind.....

Jessewalt · 06/10/2013 11:33

Dreaded af started. Feeling blue. However, have decided after 3 months of opks and making my poor husband do the deed daily for days on end, that I am going to forget them. I think they have confirmed that I am probably ovulating every month at roughly the same time, which I find reassuring. I am therefore going to try sex every other day/when we feel like it.
This ttc stuff is more stressful than I ever imagined. When we first started trying, I thought this would be the time I would be able to start telling people I was pregnant - so naive. Now 4 months and nothing. I am determined to remain positive! But this is becoming harder and harder. I know still quite early, but really thought it would have happened. Can't help myself from thinking the worst.
So very pleased for everyone getting positive results, hope all of us will get there soon!

lifehasafunnywayofhelpinguout · 06/10/2013 11:37

Hi mama. Our sex plan is still the same. Wed, Fri and if he stays over which he usually does Sat morning as well and if we can fit it in other times then fantastic.

I also D.T.D for fun. However like I said yesterday morning we had our first try with both of us on board and it was amazing. I think that the fact we were both knowingly making love to create a new life made it far more meaningful.

Oh and I forgot to mention. Now he's in the loop I've started putting my legs in the air. Although as you know I never used legs in the air last time for obvious reasons and still conceived even though it did go wrong. xx

mama31 · 06/10/2013 11:46

Jessewait I know exactly how you feel I am on cycle 4 now and after making such an immense effort especially last cycle I was completely devastated as was DH when af arrived and actually quite shocked as we both just believed it was our month!!! But it wasn't to be!

From last fri (when af arrived) until yesterday I was feeling so down about it all....felt like nothing was going right for us....and I believe that its healthy to allow yourself to have those feelings for a period of time....but it is then so important to pick yourself up again and keep trying. But yes if cutting opks out and dtd often works for you then do that! But never stop trying and never believe that it won't happen.....coz it will....and we don't decide when it happens.....it happens when its meant to happen in our lives and we have little control over that other than dtd!! So hugs..get some comfort around you (ie wine/chocs/hugs), have a week of lying low and then make a positive comeback so that your chances of conceiving are as good as ever!!

mama31 · 06/10/2013 11:51

Hello life. Yes I'm sure now dp is in the loop it is a much more honest and meaningful experience for you together. I'm not really a believer of legs in the air but DH lifts my legs and we just laugh about it really! But I'm sure if its gona happen it will happen regardless of legs in the air lol

lifehasafunnywayofhelpinguout · 06/10/2013 11:53

Hi. Feeling a bit stupid here but can I embarass myself and ask what does L.H surge mean. It's just something I keep coming across and I have no clue what it means. Thanks in advance. xx

lifehasafunnywayofhelpinguout · 06/10/2013 11:54

Also. What are B6 tablets if that what they're called and should I be taking them. I have started taking pregacare. xxx

lifehasafunnywayofhelpinguout · 06/10/2013 11:58

Hi Mama. Although I'm using legs in the air I'm with you in the attitude of if it happens it happens. Until it does we'll just have fun trying. xx

ScienceGeekGirl · 06/10/2013 12:02

L.H surge is the hormone surge that occurs at ovulation. b6 is a vitamin and is included in the pregncare vitamins so you don't need to have extra in separate tablets.
Heehee to think 6 months ago that paragraph would be double Dutch to me.

mama31 · 06/10/2013 12:09

know science...the stuff I have learnt on here in 3 months is unbelievable! How you doing science??

lifehasafunnywayofhelpinguout · 06/10/2013 12:09

Hi Science. Thanks for your reply. Although I planned all my pregnancies. I haven't really got a clue about about all the jagron. xxx

mama31 · 06/10/2013 12:14

Ladies I gotta work on my chat up lines for DH....just realised I txt him y'day saying "the period has left the building" really?!! (Worst thing is that chat up line wored and we dtd last night :/ lol)

mama31 · 06/10/2013 12:18

Although there was a cracker on here a short while ago "hey, I ovulate...check me out". I love that!!!! Lol which one of you ladies was that?? I can't remember! That's priceless!!!!

ScienceGeekGirl · 06/10/2013 12:31

Hi mama I'm doing. Glad ovulated last weekend as barely seen my OH all this week and weekend as he's working nights.
BTW OH also feels the pressure. Everyday really isn't an option for us and every other day is hard enough with his work sequedule. Get rather jealous when ppl talk about how much they manage to DTD over their fertile period.
6DPO here so another week to go for me. If anyone is updating stats I have a better date
ScienceGeekGirl ttc#1 cycle 7 BFP 13th Oct

mama31 · 06/10/2013 12:38

I know its hard science when they work shifts!!! We have to schedule in some lunchtime sessions next week as DH on night shift and only pos time will be my lunch break from work :/

And I wouldn't worry too much about quantity of times....we dtd 12 times over 10days last cycle...not only was it exhausting but it didn't result in a BFP either! And to be honest I think we peaked too soon and ran out of good quality sperm!! I reckon its quality not quantity so we are planning only 5 times over the next week to see how that goes...but it can happen from dtd only once also!!! If its all in the right place at the right time ;)

Good luck for next week!!! Hope you get your bfp! :)

ScienceGeekGirl · 06/10/2013 12:54

Our works are 50 miles apart so lunchtime loving would be tricky lol. Didn't mean last post to sound so negative. Not feeling too bad at the moment, work is done for the month and as a ttc veteran now(or I feel like it) guess I get use to suppressing my impatience.

lifehasafunnywayofhelpinguout · 06/10/2013 13:05

Hi Science. Sorry I forgot to say "Welcome back". xx
