Howly I sympathise, posted my details earlier in the thread and then have been lurking for ages trying to pluck up the courage to post again, pathetic really! I would say start sooner, you never know how long it's going to take even with the best plans. What would be harder for you a baby before September or one after?

Hiya galls. Been just lurking the last week or so. But happy times I'm having a short cycle. Whoop whoop. Just got a peak today so that moves my date to 12th. Love a short cycle as means that I get more chances in shorter time. Plus DTD yesterday and day before and plans for tonight so covered my bases well. Happy science

Choccy and Mama I agree with you to start trying as you never know how long it will take. I think we would all be happy with a BFP regardless of whenever the baby would be due.

LH, my husband is a teacher and I would prefer a September baby too so he could have his 6 weeks holidays followed by 2 weeks paternity leave off with me but we both decided not to wait until the new year. I'm now on my fourth cycle so really glad we didn't delay it.

Also, something to make you all laugh with TMI, I'm now going to wax my lady bits ready for my external and internal ultrasound I gave this morning! GP has referred me as she suspects that I may have an ovarian cyst. I can think of better things to do on a Monday morning!

Can I ask a question, not a stealth boast honest! Dp and I have had a stressful time lately but had 3 days with him off work and dd at her dad's so have been using the time to ahem 'reconnect'. I am ovulating too so very in the mood. Is it possible to have too much sex when ttc? Does it affect sperm counts and mucous and stuff? We dtd 5 times yesterday.

We are trying now for a summer baby because I am waiting to start a new job and the application process only happens once a year. I missed this years as my depression meant I wouldn't be ready to start work, so now can't begin until July 2015, so I have a year off, which we have decided to fill with having a baby. Hopefully it will work out nicely. Turns out my depression may be a blessing in disguise. :-)

I came off the pill in January 2013 but cycles still a bit irregular; 28 days here, 45 days there - bit annoying and my AF is irregular in flow too! I've had it checked out though, with ultrasound etc... No problems!

A baby after sept would be better than a baby before.

Morning all, been busy this weekend working and DIYing- first attempt at wallpapering and it's still on the wall and we're still talking so that's a success in my book!

Thought I'd ovulated on Thursday but FF has changed her mind as my temp dropped today. No idea what's going on tbh. Will have to DTD tonight just in case! Oh well, needs must!

Well, BFN for me this morning. 10dpo so could still be too early. Feeling very nauseous last night and when I woke up. Seems to have settled now. Perhaps the dizzy spell was down to an impending bug of some sort. On a positive note, I appear to have gone off sweet stuff. Been out for lunch and dinner on Saturday (lucky me!) and didn't fancy dessert either time and then didn't want any at all yesterday either - very unlike me! I know, I know...enough of the symptom spotting already! xx

Morning ladies, can I hop on board please? Spotting finally turned to af properly yesterday so I've had my few days off being weepy and sad, and am now ready to embrace the next chance! Hope everyone had a good weekend, AF turned up on Friday and then I had to go swimming with my nephew on Sunday. Oddly though my period had finished I put a pad in afterwards and just a tiny bit of spotting. If the first 2 days weren't so heavy I'd be POAS asap!

Moving, yes you can Dtd too much when ttc.
I read a couple of months ago that for a man with a regular sperm count, it doesn't affect anything if you Dtd once per 24 hours. However once you get to 7 days in a row, his sperm count can drop quite dramatically. Still millions in there but it dropped to somewhere like half and when you're ttc every one counts!!
I'd stick to once a day lol

Well I'm confused! Got a very strong opk yesterday (almost positive, very close to same colour as test line) so was expecting the positive today but it's back to negative (faint line) :/ so I'm wondering was the positive maybe later on last night (should have tested twice yesterday dammit) or did my body maybe gear up for ovulation and then fail, but will try again in a few days!!! So confusing!

I do however feel quite rubbish today, have a few lower abdominal (to the right) twinges so thinking that the positive was prob last night and I'm ovulating today! Dtd this morning anyway so bases are all covered but it's annoying not knowing coz I don't want to dtd every day then get a pos opk in a few days when the spermies have been drained of their excellent quality lol

I didn't test Thursday (due to our dog), tested Friday at 1.30ish and it was really dark, then it went pale that evening and Saturday. I got a proper positive yesterday. Hopefully you get the same and haven't missed it!

Hiya!! Still confused here (nothing new!!!). No AF, just the occasional brown spot on pantyliner sorry tmi. We are still dtd but I have no idea whats going on. If nothing in a weeks time I may visit GP for some advice. Or if anyone on this thread has experience of AF after a chem and how long it took would be appreciated??!!

Its half term here now so I have a busy week with all three boys looking forward to a bit of trick or treating too

Mama I took your advice, pulled myself together and dtd last night, glad I made the effort so thanks for te virtual push!

Can I Ask a bit of advice? Feel like I'm getting my period today? Lower ab cramps, nothing too strong just twinges and almost a full ache but Af isn't due for two more weeks! I'd roughly calculated to ov tomorrow so now I'm confused. Any ideas?

Choccy thanks for that! It's so confusing! But if I did miss the positive (if it was on sat but I didn't test sat as was only cd4) we are covered anyway as dtd sat and this morning. I will just keep opking and shagging just in case!! :/ but worried to overdo it and waste the good stuff much before ovulation, then don't want to skip a day either in case I miss it!!! I think keep shagging would put my mind at rest though, so that's what I'll do!

Lucy that's so annoying! Sorry I can't offer you any advice hoping someone else can shed some light for you or perhaps start up a new thread about it and others with same experiences might join to offer advice? Have fun this week with your lovely boys! :) :) :)
