Good luck with all the testing Missmaiden Gestone really is not that bad Wink

It's perfectly possible to do Gestone yourself, DH was coming nowhere near my arse with a needle Grin As for all of you letting your DH's inject you. kudos Smile

Brooker - hope you got a baker's dozen or more Grin

AFM - slow varies are, well, still slow! Not much to report back from today's scan.

IWantOneNow · 01/11/2013 12:55

Slowly does it val. They'll be doing their job just in their own time that's all. X

starsandmoonandback · 01/11/2013 13:00

Miss, hey! My hysteroscopy is on 18th November! When is yours? I've had 2 before. Both under general anaesthetic! The second time my friend came to 'release' me and I caught the train back from London to Devon on my own! I was a bit sore but ok. I'm not sure if they do without GA, but hope you can have it if it's what you want.

Fab, I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. Hugs to you x

Iwant, hope fertilisation has gone well. It's always a nerve racking time between ec and hearing about numbers fertilised.

Nobeer, I've not heard of those tests, but I'm no expert and the initials are probably just short for something. Hope you can get those tests fine really soon.

I can't see anymore as on my phone and memory only managed to remember this many people...sorry! Hope everyone else is ok.

Hope the slowvaries speed up soon (think that was Vanillapod?!)

So I am not even at ET and I'm on knicker watch. I'm convinced every bit of wetness and slight cramp is my body doing something wrong. And my phone has gone weird so I can't see any bodies posts, grr.
Not a good day.

starsandmoonandback · 01/11/2013 14:58

Tallullah, oh hun. It's a tough time waiting for transfer. If you're on drugs your body will be doing all sorts of different things so try to think of it all as your body getting ready for your embies. Smile Just realised I didn't ever reply to you saying you were at Hammersmith! Sorry, are you nhs or private? I had my DS from there and I have find memories. I'm going back there after changing to a local clinic after moving out of London, but will be going to their new clinic near baker st for the first time next cycle.

Hope all goes well with your cycle hun.

Afternoon all!
Managed to lay 14 eggs today - I'm quite shocked! Just chilling at the 'mo but feeling tickety boo. Slight risk of OHSS apparently (the threshold is 15 per ovary according to my clinic>. Other than drinking loads of water, any tips ladies?
Now waiting for a call from the clinic re: my progesterone level. They have to decide whether we have a fresh transfer or freeze them and have an FET next month . Now the menkulling begins. I hate this bit -waiting for 'the call' every morning. Hope everyone is ok? Personals later xx

vallinnapod · 01/11/2013 15:20

Great news Brooker!

iwant how are yours getting on?

chocolocodowninacapulco · 01/11/2013 15:24

Thats great Brooks - 14 is loads! God, I'd forgotten about waiting for the calls -2ww is tough enough. Argh

rabbitonthemoon · 01/11/2013 17:58

Oo 14 that's lots of eggs, yay! As you are my one ovary friend can I ask, is your afc double figures? I'm trying to work out if my afc of 2 (Hmm) means I could only get a maximum of 2. Though to be honest I'm not expecting any more. All these drugs and all I am is bloated and thirsty. I'm sure my ovaries are deaf to the sound of hormones.

starsandmoonandback · 01/11/2013 18:03

Woohoo for brookers ovary! 14 from one side is amazing!!! I don't know apart from water his to help avoid ohss. Does the high protein diet thing still help? Good luck for 'the call' tomorrow. My clinic used to call each morning until ET but then changed it to calling about fertilisation, then not calling unless you had to go in for early transfer! It was weird not gearing but easier in a way not having to go through the nerves every morning!!! Will you know tonight if you'll go ahead with transfer or if your eggies will be frozen? Wishing you lots of luck Brooks Smile

OP posts:
nobeer · 01/11/2013 18:53

Smile brooker that's amazing! I was an OHSS potential so they decided to freeze my embies until I was back to normal. Yes to drinking plenty of water, and for god's sake take things easy! I didn't and felt like crap. I'm crossing my fingers for fertilization. btw you'll be pleased to hear I did loads of packing today and went to a child's bday party. I was feeling bit down but chocolate cake and musical statues helped.

BrookerC · 01/11/2013 20:13

Evening all!
Had the call from my clinic. Apparently I am ok to have a fresh transfer so all systems go. I am slightly torn between getting on with it or freezing them. I will discuss with the embryologist as the embryos (hopefully) progress over the next few days' Rabbit I don't know my afc just that my cons advised that I have a ' slightly reduced ovarian reserve'. My fsh is pretty high at 9.5. Is this your first cycle? I produced 8 eggs on my first & 6 on my second so this was a real surprise Shock. At this stage I don't know why so many extra but could be down to the changed protocol from SP to LP that fecking buserelin has to be good for something FX for quality now as previously they have been good. Just about to have my first Wine in a long time!

rabbitonthemoon · 01/11/2013 20:28

Brooker that is v similar fsh to me. I don't know my amh though. Really hope this is the one for you. Enjoy the little wine window!

Knowledgable people, I have my first scan tomorrow. After my shitty afc I am bricking it a bit that there will be no eggs. Is it a case of what you see on the first scan is what you get? The extreme thirst continues. It's worrying me a bit as I'm drinking shitloads but hardly weeing. Normal?

vallinnapod · 01/11/2013 20:38

Rabbit my first scan showed very little (but I have slowvaries Wink) so don't be despondent if there isn't much there. I don't think the first one does much really but they get a baseline E2 level from you and an idea if your ovaries are waking up.

Brooker i heard salt is meant to help.

Llw2 · 01/11/2013 20:39

Brook I am celebrating for you from my sofa in between nausea, as soon as I can I'll open some chocolate truffles (just for you of course!) x

starsandmoonandback · 01/11/2013 20:44

Great news brooker. Get those beautiful embies back inside you Grin you'll have a good lot to freeze as well by the sounds of it. Go girl!

OP posts:
BrookerC · 01/11/2013 21:56

Rabbit drinking lots but not peeing much has been mentioned on my OHSS leaflet today but that doesn't sound likely for you. My experience of scans is that they only measure the larger ones so there are always more than they actually count. They measured no more than 6 at my first scan but there were smaller ones there (not sure how many). They didn't collect a few of the smaller follies today either.
Try not to worry too much . Good luck for tom x
iwant hope all went well today with fertilisation x
Welcome back missm Smile it's good to hear you've found someone who's listening to you at last & coming up with a plan of action.
