Hey brooker. You will have triggered by now, how was it? Well done, nearly there now, fingers crossed for u too!
I'm getting nervous now as EC is tomorrow morning Shock.

BrookerC · 31/10/2013 07:34

Apart from breaking the glass of the vials and getting glass everywhere then not being able to take the cover off the needle, everything went fine Grin I just collapsed in bed afterwards. Is it wrong to be thinking about Wine already?
No more stabbing!
Good luck iwant, you will be fine. Time for those precious eggs to leave home temporarily xx
Fabbie I am so sad to hear about your dad Sad We do sometimes get lost in this bubble & forget real life beyond ttc but always here for support. Massive squeeze x
Morning lovely ladies Smile

talulahbelle · 31/10/2013 08:20

Hi all
iwant good luck for EC today, I've got my fingers crossed it goes well for you.
brooker congratulations for reaching the end of the stabbing - EC tomorrow for you? val is it you on Gestone? How long will you be jabbing that into yourself?
fabuluce I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad, look after yourself.
Sorry for no more personals, I'm drowning in work at the moment. Also nervously looking forward to ET on Monday - just praying there's no unexpected problems.

chocolocodowninacapulco · 31/10/2013 08:38

iwant heaps of luck for EC today. I never had amazing follie action at scans, but always managed to get some eggs Smile

fab sorry to hear about your dad, what a tough time. As you say, it may be less stressful for you if you delay your treatment for a while. The recipe sounds nice.

brooker glad you managed to trigger ok in the end Wink. You're almost there

rabbit welcome back! I never knew my antral follicle count, but AMH of 0.23 and I always managed some sort of response. When I was on menopur it was 450, what are you on? I was really dehydrated on buserelin, like my whole body was kind of parched.

llw huge congratulations on the scan and heartbeat. Keep us posted.

mittens really sorry to hear that the cyst is still there, but good that it's started to shrink and will go without surgery

owl welcome to the madhouse

euro welcome back

Hello to nobeer and Val and anyone else I've missed.

chocolocodowninacapulco · 31/10/2013 08:40

talulah fingers crossed for Monday Smile

nobeer · 31/10/2013 09:52

Fab so sorry to hear about your dad. I think you're absolutely doing the right thing, far more important to spend time with him while you still can. And I'm sure your mum will appreciate the support too. Sending you a hug at this difficult time.

vallinnapod · 31/10/2013 10:30

Congrats Brooker and stop apologising to me. I am thrilled for anyone to even have one less jab! Gestone should be reserved for the world's evil despots...and me Grin

So yes Talulah - it is me who will be on Gestone from EC to 12 weeks Shock. It'll work out at £100 Sad Not to mention the bruises, lumpsand inevitable numb patches as I take out nerve endings.

Fab so sorry to hear about your Dad. Enjoy the ime you can have with him.

iwant - good luck with EC. Let us know your stash!

nobeer · 31/10/2013 14:54

Val in the grand scale of IVF expenses, a 100 quid is a bargain! Good luck with the stabbing and side effects Sad

IWantOneNow · 31/10/2013 19:22

Hi all. Well they only got the 2 eggs, but as the nurses said 'it only takes one'. I felt as rough as a badgers arse when I got home and was sick. DP took me to bed and I slept for about 6 hrs!! Feeling much more human now Smile. Clinic will call me tomo to let me know if fertilised !
Good luck brooker for tomo, what time is ur appt? Thinking of u.
fab. U r definitely doing the right thing to delay. Spending precious time with ur dad is most important at this time, take care x

Well done iwant. Glad OH is looking after you. Fingers crossed for the fertilisation call in the morning x

rabbitonthemoon · 31/10/2013 20:09

Want I'm so glad your precious eggs are now doing their thing in a dish, sorry to hear you felt so rough after though.

Choco I am on 450 which seems to get raised eyebrows from nurses as in oo you are on a high dose. Pah. Where are you up to?

Bugs I think you mentioned milk. Milk makes me do a gag. So I'm drinking almond milk smoothies and trying to make sure I'm eating protein and am snacking on Brazil nuts. Dr Google says this is Ok. And since my actual doctor gave me no nutritional advice (other than no booze or caffeine) I'm keeping my relationship with milk the same. Boak.

Injection 4 awaits. Last night the oddness of being injected in the stomach by my husband to try and make a baby rather than Doing It struck me as quite surreal.

nobeer · 31/10/2013 20:25

Got everything crossed for your embies, Iwant.

rabbit very brave of you to get DH to do the injecting. But mine was away so didn't have much choice. I made him watch on skype instead!

Missmidden · 31/10/2013 20:40

Evening all. Some of you might remember me as I was on this thread in Aug and early Sept for IVF#1which resulted in a slow to appear BFP shortly followed by a miscarriage at 6 weeks.

At my review I got serious about further investigations and so yesterday had an appt with a private consultant who is going to perform a hysteroscopy next cycle. And this is the reason for coming back on here - I have finally found someone who seems to know what he is talking about! Everyone else has dismissed the fact I spot for days before every period as irrelevant whereas he is confident it is why I am not pregnant now. In fact he thinks that if this had been addressed with lots of progesterone supplements I would never have needed IVF- grrr! I am part furious (postcode lottery because if I lived in the right place I would have seen him under the NHS this time last year) and part delighted because it gives me hope.

So the plan now is hysteroscopy next cycle to rule out other lining issues then hopefully downreg during Dec for FET in Jan- and it's going to involve Gestone Sad. I've also had some level 1 immune tests done which have shown a couple of raised antibody levels so I hope to persuade the clinic to put me on low dose steroids too. Belt and braces is my favoured approach!

I haven't read back over everything and there are a lot of new names but
Brooker I am so pleased you are nearly at EC, I hope you get a lovely crop tomorrow!
Stars we were cycle buddies last time and it seems we will be hysteroscopy buddies soon! Have you had one before? I am hoping they will do it without GA so I don't need someone to take me and drive me home- wise, do you think?
IWant sending you good fertilisation vibes!
Fab sorry to hear about your Dad, I hope you have some quality time with him.
Nobeer it sounds like you are investigating the immune issues route too- any answers yet?
Talulah it sounds like you have lots of Gestone experience, sadly. Can I ask- is it possible to stab yourself with it? Just concerned as DP will be off skiing for a week in Jan when I hope to have FET. Not sure I dare ask a neighbour!

nobeer · 31/10/2013 21:21

Hi Miss! No idea at the mo, she's recommended KIR test and HLA C for us both. I don't know what that means. It looks like a really bad game of scrabble to me. I think I need to contact the clinic in my city and ask what I need to do next.

nobeer · 31/10/2013 21:25

Oh, and good luck with the hysteroscopy. I had one earlier this year, not very pleasant but recovered fairly quickly. Your new consultant sounds like he really knows what he's doing. I spot too, and have also had it brushed aside! Will bring it up at my next appointment.

nobeer · 31/10/2013 21:26

Good luck brooker I'll be popping back here tomorrow to hear about your harvest!

rabbitonthemoon · 31/10/2013 21:39

Miss M reading with interest, I am a spotter and no one ever seems to give a toss even though it only started the exact month I started trying. Some months I get none but can get over a weeks worth and I'm convinced it's a prob. Given my low ovarian reserve it might just be due to egg quality but I do wish just one doctor would be interested.

BrookerC · 31/10/2013 22:03

Evening all
EC at 10.15 tom. Just about to start with the drug regime - one temazepam before bed Will update when I'm back in the land of the living Grin Thanks for all the good wishes.
