Chocs that's great news! You must be feeling so relieved - and excited too Smile

Brooks your stimming sounds like it's doing all the right things - yay! Grow Brooks eggs, grow! I love the stimms bit myself - you're actively doing something to get that baby and a positive mental attitude really helps apparently - when i'm going through stimms I find myself walking along singing 'plump round healthy follicles!' in my head everywhere I go! Mad I know but that's the point at which I'm actively doing good things rather than the 2ww when it's just all about waiting and hoping - it's been a happy time for me when I've gone through the process. Bugs, I hope that's given you a positive to take away Smile

Tallulah, you're the only person I've known who has patches - why do you have them rather than injections? What's the benefit? Sounds like you're having a rough time of it Smile hugs

Llw - your viewing pleasure sounds like my viewing hell but life would be dull if we all liked the same things! Wink

Lovely buddies, I was on this Thread thru Sept, got a BFP after FET on the 30th and just wanted to let you know my first scan today was good! Strong heart beat and measuring a little ahead :) I hope it gives hope to some! History is ttc since June 2010, unexplained, so + IUI gave BFP last year, mc at 7+4, IVF gave chem diffment and this was our first frostie!

nobeer · 25/10/2013 18:16

I'm absolutely delighted for you drizzle! what lovely news Smile Please keep us updated on how you get on.

IWantOneNow · 25/10/2013 19:14

Hello all, I've been a bit quiet, work is full on at mo. Unfortunately I had my scan and bloods today which showed only 3 eggs in my right ovary and they couldn't even find my left ovary at first. After much prodding and poking she thinks she's found 1 egg. So only 4 in total, which is not good news. It's a bit of a blow tbh. Gone to mums for a bit of home cooking and mum hugs.
Soooo pleased for u choco on ur DE, brill news. Full steam ahead.
Thanks lemon for sharing that wonderful news, it has perked me up to know it does work for people (sorry feeling a little negative about it all today)
Waves to all Smile

Fabuluce · 25/10/2013 19:23

Driz I'm so pleased to hear your news - chuffed to pieces for you and Mr Driz Grin

Fabuluce · 25/10/2013 19:25

IWant - I can imagine this is a tough time for you but please do remember it only takes one. Hope some mum love makes you feel better. Xx

BrookerC · 25/10/2013 23:19

Evening all!
How's everyone doing?
choco what fantastic news! You must be so excited Sounds like your donor was having a wobble - ? So glad you're back on track xx
stars how great that you can plan your next cycle

bikesaregreat · 25/10/2013 23:33

Hi all,

So, 8 hours to get to clinic and back today - argh! Flipping rural idyll being ages away from civilisation... and yup choco - can still swim in the sea according to clinic so hooray! The stars and moon were out at 0700 yesterday when I jumped in and we had seals as well - amazing start to the day! Great news about your donor - phew though - rollercoaster or what?!

SO had my baseline scan today, and all seems well. Started Gonal injections today - was driving back when I was due to take it, so was trying to sort the bastard screw-on needle pan thingy pulled into a parking bay - not ideal!! But managed in the end. Fingers crossed it works - appointment next Friday to check things out and then "week of eek" as it has been dubbed in our household...

BrookerC · 26/10/2013 17:32

Where is everyone? Hope you're all enjoying yourselves today!
I've been cleaning up, tidying the garden, taken rubbish to the tip, had the dog out for a long walk. Now heading for a long soak in the bath. Rock & roll me Grin

chocolocodowninacapulco · 26/10/2013 18:48

I'm here brooker! Just chilling out today, stayed in bed til about 12.30 and then had a mooch around the shops. You've been busy! Blimey, girl. Long soak in the bath sounds lush, I hardly ever have baths.

val groan about all the medication. The longest I've had to have gestone for was about 4 weeks and I had very bruised areas and lots of itchy swellings, so I empathise. I'll be on it again this time too, oh the glamour! I did cetrotide in one cycle and menopur in another and don't remember any issues - good old DH did the mixing.

llw looking forward to hearing your news on Tuesday. Sick as a dog sounds like a good sign IYSWIM. I love the sound of your ideas for a weekly treat for me.

bugger it's a means to an end lovely. At times you will feel crappy, at the start as your body adjusts to the drugs was always when I felt it the most. Keeping hydrated always helped me.

fab how are you doing? Give us a recipe ... Smile. I know what you mean about the stimming stage, the nurses at my clinic were always saying ' I hope you've given those follies a good talking to' as I always needed all of the extra help I could get

drizz huge congrats on the scan and seeing the heartbeat Grin. Lovely news.

iwant sorry you're feeling a bit despondent. I hope your mum's home cooking helped. What stage of treatment are you at. I never had many follicles and always got to ET stage and had at least one to put back.

brooker I am relieved, yes . I was thinking that maybe she was having a bit of a wobble too as I couldn't think of any other personal circumstance which would end up meaning treatment would only be delayed by a week.

bikes well done, girl. Jabbing in a parking bay is hardcore, I've done pub loo! Where do you live? The swims and the seals sound amazing. My clinic was pretty much a 3 and a half hour round trip, but eight ?!

Nowt much going on with me really, a bit of strictly action and just chilling tonight. We're off to my sister's next week for a few days as it's half term so looking forward to that and seeing my nieces and nephew.

I'm on microgynon at the moment, as of a week ago, and got another 12 days on it, it's making me feel really sick all the time - has anyone else experienced that?

talulahbelle · 26/10/2013 19:15

fabuluce I am having a FET rather than fresh cycle, so no need to stim. The patches are to suppress ovulation and grow my lining. I'm also on 2mg of oral estrogen a day. First scan on Monday...
brooker sounds like you had a useful day - mine has been a bit like that. Now settling in for xfactor with the woodburner going :)
llw fingers crossed for Tuesday!
drizz congratulations, you give me hope that my FET will work.
chocoloco microgynon made me feel very very bad the last time I was on it, hopefully you an cope with the side effects and it does the job you need it to.
Good stabbing and sniffing to everyone else, sorry for no more personals but this is a flying visit...
I have had very heavy bleeding and cramping Thursday/Friday, hopefully the last of my old lining shedding. By the time of my scan I will have been on meds for this cycle for 6.5 days, so I am keeping fingers crossed my lining grows. Thankfully it's now half term so I can relax and don't have to worry about juggling appointments and work, just got to hope the storm doesn't down trees round here and keep me from getting to the clinic.

BrookerC · 26/10/2013 22:23

Sorry choco, I didn't mean to sound flippant when I asked if you were relieved . Of course you fucking are! What a rollercoaster the last couple of weeks' must have been. Can't help with the microgynon but having read about some of the symptoms via DR Google it sounds like many people suffer with feeling sick. Hope it wears off sharpish x
talulah I have a wood burner too & I love it! DH keeps having to stop me lighting a fire when it's not cold Grin Hope to hear your lining is thickening up nicely on Monday. A week off might do your body the world of good. Have you got anything nice planned? x

chocolocodowninacapulco · 26/10/2013 22:47

brooker I had to read back to see what you meant! I honestly didn't think you were being flippant at all. Just over the moon Grin. Thanks for the googling Smile

bugger I don't know about your specific treatment, but, I know when I have done ICSI cycles before, I've had to pay a week ish before EC. With current DE cycle I'm sure the donor must have started drugs by now, but no bill as yet . I think it prob depends on clinics.

Thanks for your input re microgynon too talulah. So pleased it's half term! Fingers crossed for a nice thin lining on Monday.

BrookerC · 26/10/2013 23:07

Evening bugs. I've only paid for an ivf cycle but the bastards wanted paying before starting any treatment. Get this, you'll love it. When we arrived on day 2 for scan & bloods ahead of starting the treatment, they whisked us into a consultation room, whipped out a form to sign & a card machine. This was all at 8am! It felt very cold, clinical & real. We then went back into the waiting room ready for dildo cam & bloods! I felt very self-consious, like everyone must be thinking ooh, she's old - they're having to pay

chocolocodowninacapulco · 26/10/2013 23:10

Halloween Biscuit back at you brooker

BrookerC · 26/10/2013 23:12

Ha ha! We've been slow to use these! Halloween Grin

IWantOneNow · 27/10/2013 08:50

Morning all. Thankyou so much for ur comforting words, u really r a great bunch of fab ladies Smile. My mums home cooking and tlc did me the world of good and I'm just about feeling back to normal. choco I'm at day 11 of stimming with menopur. Going back on tues for another scan. If they r still not happy with progress I speak to a doctor about it all, feeling a little nervous about what they'll say. Hope u've all got lovely lazy Sundays planned. I love the sound of the log burners, we would love one of those!! X

BrookerC · 27/10/2013 09:32

Morning iwant. Glad your feeling better Smile
Did your clinic discuss changing your dosage of menopur? Were they concerned about the number of follies developing - did they say why? From what I know, you may just be a slow developer (which is not necessary a bad thing according to my cons). Also, did they measure 4 follies & not bother with the smaller ones or could they only see 4 in total? The only reason I ask is that my clinic only measure the largest follie at the day 8 scan if they think you're not ready and there were plenty of smaller follies but not worth measuring at that stage. I will expect some of those smaller ones to catch up by EC. I'm back in for a scan tomorrow & still not expecting to be ready. Expect EC fri/sat. Try to be positive lovely x

BrookerC · 27/10/2013 09:48

*you're not your

IWantOneNow · 27/10/2013 09:51

Hi brooker thx. Yes they said they 11-12 so got to grow them abit more. I have a low AMH and low egg reserve so I'm not expecting there to be too many. When they first scanned I had about 8 in total. But now they can only see possibly 4!!! Need to do some strong talking to them I think!! Fingers crossed they will be better on tues at my next scan. Good luck for tomo let us know how u get on x

IWantOneNow · 27/10/2013 09:52

Them being the eggs (not the clinic)!! Smile

Fabuluce · 27/10/2013 16:33

Chocs I would dearly love to give you a recipe but the truth is I feel a bit sickie and have done since Wednesday so am well and truly off the creative recipe queen chair at the moment. Having just had AF I don't think it's a surprise diff! Boo on all counts but I'm hoping the silver lining is weight loss Smile

In other news I can completely recommend crafty camping in Dorset! We went there last mon-wed through the storms and it was amazing!!!

Fabuluce · 27/10/2013 16:35

Great to hear you're feeling more positive today IWant - sometimes those mum comforts are just what you need aren't they Smile
