nobeer · 11/10/2013 08:32

Good luck talulah! Hope your lining is thick, but not too thick and just right for welcoming an embryo.

brooker I filled another box, and I've chucked out more stuff. I've got loads of books but think they need to go in smaller boxes because they're impossible to lift!!

Badhairday76 · 11/10/2013 09:12

Yes - good luck, Talulah and keeping everything crossed for you today Wish.

I am really excited about my first consultation today. In some ways I think this will be easier for me than for some people, because I know exactly why I can't now get pregnant naturally (no bloody tubes left after two ectopic pregnancies) so I suppose I'm not really looking for any answers from the doctors about this one. I just want to get started. My friend made me laugh last night when I was saying how I was worried about all the IVF drugs. She reminded me how we used to love taking drugs for fun at weekends when we were young and reckless and that we always used to cope just fine. Hopefully that will still be the case this time!

bikesaregreat · 11/10/2013 11:38

good luck talulah - hope all goes well.

talulahbelle · 11/10/2013 15:17

Bad news, the spotting has continued and my lining hasn't grown at all.
Waiting to hear back from the consultant but it looks like this month could be out for transfer.
Why can't my stupid body respond to the drugs :(

nobeer · 11/10/2013 16:19

Oh no talulah, that's really frustrating. When they ring back, ask if there's anything you can do/eat/take to improve the lining. Fingers are crossed for you.

talulahbelle · 11/10/2013 16:32

Well, I have to stay on the patches and get scanned again on Tuesday morning. I have asked if there is anything else I can do to improve the growth etc, but haven't been told anything.

Spotting a bit heavier, but would expect that anyway after dildo cam this afternoon.

Looks like the glass of wine I had planned to have tonight is still out. And god knows what work is going to think. I might just call in sick and have the whole day off.

Badhairday76 · 11/10/2013 16:35

Sorry to hear that Talulah - so frustrating for you. Like Nobeer I have my fingers crossed for you.

As for me, I am just back from my first appointment at Homerton. My God they seem disorganised! But they were nice people and I am pleased I am 'in the system'. Had my Baseline Scan and all appeared fine (other than my missing tubes, of course) so am now just waiting for follow-up appointment to discuss my DP's sperm results (which are hopefully fine), then we can get going. I was just reading Closer magazine with that Tina Malone actress from Shameless who is pregnant after donor egg IVF at 50! Good for her, I say. Wishing everybody a good weekend x

IWantOneNow · 11/10/2013 18:00

Hi everyone! Long time no speak from me. I've been sooo busy at work it's silly. Still it's taking my mind off all this waiting. Started bleeding yesterday so phoned clinic expecting to start the menopur but they said I have to wait another week yet, then a scan to make sure all is well and then I can start stimms so just carrying on with buserilin for now. I'm pleased to say they haven't had too much of a bad effect on me and I think I've just had normal PMT symptoms really (thank god). I can't stand all this waiting that we have to do with IVF [drumming fingers].

IWantOneNow · 11/10/2013 18:06

So much to catch up on! Welcome bikes! brooker how u doing on the buserilin? Do u have any news when u'll be able to start stimms?
For my two-penny; I'm totally with u all on the 'others pregnancies' call. It's so hard. Like the rest of u I never thought I'd have a problem conceiving and look at babies now and think if I had got pregnant when we first started trying that would be me now. It's tough but then I have to remind myself of how thankful I should be of what I do have in my life. A lovely man, a lovely family and a nice home and a good job. We can't have it all I suppose (without a little fight anyway!). Positive thinking all the way ladies - we CAN do this. Hugs and hand holds for all that need them right now Flowers x

chocolocodowninacapulco · 11/10/2013 20:56

Hi girls! Sorry I haven't been on in the last week, time for a catch up ...

brooker hello lovely, is the bastard buserelin still giving you a hard time? Loving GBBO too, bit weird on it now there are no men - I want Beca to win.

still how's everything with you? What happened when you went back to the GP the other day?

wish test day soon, how's the labyrinthitis? I've suffered from it horrendously in the past and as you know it's so debilitating, you have my sympathies.

iwant it sounds good that you are going to be starting the Co Q 10, I was only ever on 200mg but felt that it did some good. I was recommended DHEA, but didn't take it and wish I had (hindsight's a wonderful thing)

nobeer hope the packing is going ok, what's the latest with you re treatment?

llw how are you doing? Hope you are not still having the pains

stars the HSG sounds very ouch, when will you get the results?

bugger sorry you're feeling low at the moment, there are so many highs and lows involved in this IVF malarkey- it certainly bloody tests you and AF hormones won't be helping. I had the scratch and didn't find it too painful.

wannabe how did your appointment go today?

drizz how are you doing lovely? Any more symptoms?

talulah sorry to hear about the lining, but hopefully the extra oestrogen patches will do the trick. Acupuncture can help boost the blood flow and Brazil nuts too

res fantastic to hear that you have a match!! Grin. Have you had any more details? What happens now? I suppose timing depends on the synching with the donor and your cycle.

bikes welcome! How is the buserelin going now?

pip sorry you're feeling flat, we all know what you're going through - have a hand to hold

badhair great news that you've had your first appointment and are in the system. Most clinics have a bit of a disorganised feel at some point I think. Hope you get DP's results soon.

AFM, mock transfer all went fine last week and stopped the cyclogest and prognyova on Wednesday. I had an email today to say that they have an egg donor match for us and we've accepted it! Grin Grin wow! We went on the waiting list just under 6 weeks ago, so pretty quick really. The donor has a different eye colour to me, but it's still a possible combination of mine and DH's eye colours. So excited! I've emailed and on Monday we should get details of a treatment plan...

nobeer · 11/10/2013 21:16

OMG choco!!! That is very exciting news Smile As for me, I think we're going to do a non medicated FET in December. Thought it made more sense after moving. Let's not mention the packing But before that I've got a phone appointment with the immunologist, then I think all the frosties are going for 5 day blasto and then the surviving blastos are going for genetic testing. I think there's an acronym for that but can't remember what it is. I've just had a lovely glass of Wine. It was organic so it doesn't count!

chocolocodowninacapulco · 11/10/2013 21:47

nobeer that sounds like a good plan - waiting until after the move. I'd forgotten you'd said that you were having an immunology consultation and good that you can have the genetic testing too. How are you getting on with return to work after the summer hols? I'm finding it a struggle! We had some cava tonight to celebrate and I had a huge Cake, well syrup sponge pudding, and feeling like a total lard now.

BrookerC · 11/10/2013 21:55

Wow wow wow Choco what fantastic news! I am sooo excited for you! x
Hic! A well deserved glass of wine if you ask me nobeer

wishwash · 11/10/2013 22:05

Oh talulah I'm so sorry! I hope it turns round for you on Tuesday. Eat lots of cayenne pepper, pineapple core and avocado! I split cayenne pepper in everything. Chin up lady xxx

badhair I'm glad your appointment went well even if they were disorganised hehe!

AFM, it's bad news I think. I had serious AF cramps today and (TMI) brown bleeding! I did a test (3 days early) with a clear blue digi and it showed the lovely words I was expecting.... NOT PREGNANT... Sad

wishwash · 11/10/2013 22:06

Wow choco we cross posted! CONGRATS! That's so exiting xxxx

BrookerC · 11/10/2013 22:11

talulah what an absolute bugger Sad Hope the lining looks better on Tuesday x
badhair good to hear you're on your way Smile Hope you get the sperm results v. soon
iwant my bruised tummy is really bugging me - have you had any bruising? (I didn't have any bruising with the gonal-f or cetrotide on the SP Hmm) I am back at the clinic on Tuesday morning for a scan & bloods. Hope I'm not too far off stimming....the waiting is rather tedious I agree!
wish thinking of you. Hope you're ok Flowers

chocolocodowninacapulco · 11/10/2013 22:14

Hey brooker .

Sorry to hear about the brown blood wish. I had bleeding the day before I tested positive last time and aren't the digis meant to be less sensitive too? Everything crossed for you xxx

BrookerC · 11/10/2013 22:15

Fuck. X post wish. So, so sorry. When is OTD? Could you have tested too early? Huge hug. xx

chocolocodowninacapulco · 11/10/2013 22:17

Thanks bugger, that does help. I've been googling about dominant genes etc until it's nearly sent me stark raving bonkers! To be fair, despite the eye colour thing it still only took us a very short time before we decided to accept the donor!

BrookerC · 11/10/2013 22:23
Llw2 · 11/10/2013 22:42

Hey ladies sorry for lack of chat this week, work has been mayhem! Just wanted to quickly say that wish I had exactly the same thing horrible blood and awful cramps and then I got a BFP so keep thinking positively, I have everything crossed for you x

wishwash · 11/10/2013 23:59

Thank you for your well wishes and positive thoughts. I'm hoping it has a good ending but I'm not that lucky. I think I used all my luck at a pampered chef party tonight... I won't a big box of maltesers in a raffle...

wishwash · 12/10/2013 00:18

Won not won't! Doh

talulahbelle · 12/10/2013 09:45

wish I've been where you are and it's horrible. The only thought I can offer is that the clear blue digital tests are not that sensitive - I swear by FR tests.
choco our FET will be a donorFET - I did a bit of reading on epigenetics and in the end believe that raising your child is the most important part of parenting. Good luck and I hope things happen quickly for you.
brooker We have a scan on the same day - fingers crossed we both get the results we want. If my lining hasn't thickened up then this month will be out for us, and November me and DH have work commitments, then it's the Xmas shut down so I won't be able to cycle again until January. Meh.
bugger I don't think they know why I'm not responding. I am going to go out today and buy some conception vits (wish I had been taking them before) and am going to try and relax. Work has been hugely stressful so maybe it could be that. Who knows.
nobeer good luck with your non medicated transfer. I might ask for that from my clinic next time as I am sure the pill I was on before patches disagreed with me. I shall be watching for your posts to see how you get on.
to everyone else. I'm spending the day chilling out at home mainly, meeting a friend for a cuppa later. A nice relaxing weekend staying out of the horrible weather.
