Good luck today bunny! Will be over before you know it! Think of how chilled out you'll be tonight wince it's all behind you!!

feather I was just on 50mg of clomid; like boodle I ov on my own but the consultant wanted to try it although his gut feeling was that we'll need IVF since he could see no physical reason why it hadnt happened yet. Yes blind I did I have a scan for monitoring; I developed two large follies by cd11; I believe they were 22 and 23mm each but not certain - probably should've written it down! There was a third at 17 but he wasn't sure it would release an egg. At any rate I'm not sure the clomid did anything at all aside from giving me intense sharp pain for days on end, as my pre-clomid scan showed 2 follicles of roughly the same size which I grew all by myself, so bottom line is - who the hell knows!! I'm just 350 pounds poorer for the experience I guess!

Thanks for the info blind and lady about clinics. It's on my mental to-do list and I dread it. Sitting here feeling vomitey and exhausted - 5mo baby next door's lunatic mum woke me up at 5am with her bizarre baby-calming technique - sounds like a ghost howling and only ever seems to make the baby cry more, but then again she's a mother and I'm not so she must know best Envy Pity party, your table for one is ready! Wink Biscuit going to go throw up mowing think.

SidneyBristow · 09/10/2013 09:04

Um that would be 'throw up now', not 'mowing'; we haven't got a bloody garden to mow! Thanks iPad for reminding me, argh!!! Wow what a moaner I am. Sorry 'bout that.

yorkiebilb · 09/10/2013 10:16

ooh throwing up sid?! How many DPO are you?! Re: IVF clinics, I picked Lister Hospital in London simply because they were high fsh, low amh friendly. Since then my DH's friend has told him she used them and they were fantastic.

feeling low here and need some positivity thrown at me from the berries please! Due to go in for my iui in a few hours and on the last scan on Monday only mananged to produce one mature follicle at 17.5 mm which I was probably doing on my own anyway so worried that i'm not responding to the drugs. They seemed happy with that and told me all is fine but I'm concerned that when I go for IVF that I won't respond to the drugs despite having an antral follicle count of 22. I keep telling myself that the dosage for this iui was v low (they started me on 75 of gonal f every other day). I'm not expecting the iui to work, I was more interested in seeing how I responded to the meds and worried it appears not very well!

CatsCantFlyFast · 09/10/2013 12:14

Yorkie sending all positive vibes your way, let us know ASAP how you get on. And remember Kitty's success story! Do you get a trigger?
Sid I did wonder what mowing had to do with being sick! Why are you being sick? [innocent face]

SidneyBristow · 09/10/2013 14:12

Yorkie how exciting!! I think it's natural to worry - you can join me in the "is this pill working?" club - but try not to let it consume you. Easier said than done I know! One positive thing - when you develop too many follicles, they scrap the cycle for fear of conceiving multiple multiples (3+), according to my consultant anyway - so think of how heartbreaking it would be to be in that situation! You're in a good place: all it takes is one good egg. If it worked for Kitty, it could work for you, you never know! I'm joining Merk in sending positive vibes your way.

Merk I'm desperately trying to not read anything into any of it. DH is poorly as well but I've been fine; the nausea hit me when everyone left for work/school; I couldn't vomit so ate toast and an apple and it eased up. Lumping it in with another random thing that's become normal - I now need the bathroom during the night. Usually I have a bladder of steel; now, not so much. I'm sure it's all just a bug rather than anything remotely exciting, but wouldn't it be nice.....

SidneyBristow · 09/10/2013 14:20

oops yorkie forgot to answer you: today might be 7dpo, 8dpo or 9dpo - trigger shot was last Monday. LC said things looked good for me to ovulate on my own, but if I didn't, I definitely would by 36-40 hours after the shot (so by Weds morning, last week). Every month around this time I quietly convince myself that "it's happened," and I haven't been right yet, so basically am presuming that the LC is right and it will take a thoroughly overwhelming course of IVF to get the job done.

and thanks for the Lister name-check; I've heard of them and will add them to my list Smile

barkingtreefrog · 09/10/2013 14:45

^^

Sid you're on your first clomid cycle and you have nausea and are getting up to go to the toilet? Sounds familiar..... Hmm Hmm Wink

Just out of interest why does the consultant think you wouldn't manage to conceive on your own if there isn't any reason he's found? I know it hasn't happened so far but two of my friends took between 18 months and 2 years to conceive but it did happen naturally. They were both late 30's (I think one was 40 actually) and would have been heading for IVF after 2 years but managed it naturally just before they got to that mark. Am I right in thinking you've been trying less than 18 months? (I appreciate it's a long time anyway and you want to speed things up and I'm not questioning why you're going for IVF now, just curious as to the difference between your consultant and the standard 'well it's normal for it to take up to 2 years'.)

SidneyBristow · 09/10/2013 15:10

What a great memory you have - this is cycle 16 for us, I believe; all of our bloods/SA tests are normal/above average; my HSG showed no blocks. I guess the only indication of a real, true problem would be my AMH test which came back at 16.1 ("Low fertility" according to their handout, but it's towards the high end of the range, for what that's worth) and my AFC was 16-17. I'm 38. I do find it really encouraging to hear stories like about your friends who are around my age, but I guess at this point, this has been going on for what feels like an eternity and at this point I would honestly be stunned if it happens naturally (or even if IVF works, on my bleaker days). I guess he feels like there's no physical impediment to us getting pg but given my age, perhaps we'd better get on the IVF bandwagon before I'm in my 40s when success rates aren't as promising as they are for the 38-39yo category.

barkingtreefrog · 09/10/2013 15:20

I totally agree it makes sense to get moving if you have the funds to do so, not questioning that for a second, I just thought it was strange for the consultant to say it probably wouldn't happen otherwise that's all.
Anyway, it could all be irrelevant, you might be preggers right now! Grin .

SidneyBristow · 09/10/2013 16:08

No, I totally understand; I felt/feel the same way myself! Grin I am very grateful for the years of slogging away in a job I was lucky to have but didn't especially enjoy, and living a quiet life and so socking away a lot for savings. On the other hand if I hadn't lived such a quiet life, maybe I"d have met DH sooner and we wouldn't feel such pressure to beat the (IVF) clock. Who knows.

Not to tempt fate or anything, asking purely out of curiosity - when did you start noticing any odd symptoms? this is not really helping quell my crazy symptom spotting Blush and in a week or two I'll feel mortified that I was so obviously desperate for all of the internets to see, but I just can't help myself Biscuit

CatsCantFlyFast · 09/10/2013 16:55

It won't help Sid but I had no symptoms. I actually think that was my only symptom. Whereas every other month I could tick the obvious symptoms off in every TWW, this time I couldn't. However as a caveat I was flying round the world, in 3 different time zones in a week, and therefore my whole body was a bit shaken up! The only thing I had was cystitis! I had 2 days of spotting at about 7/8dpo, loads of brown CM at 9dpo and higher than normal post O temps (but could have been due to the travelling).

Thunder had "food poisoning" in the 2ww i think

BlindKitty · 09/10/2013 17:19

yorkie . Your follicle only needs to be 18mm so it sounds like you're well on track if you ask me. Also don't forget just how negative I was!!! This has every chance of working for you!

sid yes, it does sound like you ov'd ok but at least that's something you can eliminate, assuming you defo don't get diffed this cycle. It will also help the fc plan your ivf, assuming you actually need it
Hmm barking's question is interesting...why DOES the fc think you won't conscience naturally???
Re symptoms -the only "symptom" I actually thought I had (diarrhoea and feeling crap) had turned out to be a bug anyway lol. Felt absolutely normal otherwise and still do mostly apart from a few very minor complaints.

Have we heard from bunny yet? What time was her op?

CatsCantFlyFast · 09/10/2013 17:40

why DOES the fc think you won't conscience naturally???

Lol

Bunny if alive (as per her fb message)!

RevoltingPeasant · 09/10/2013 17:58

Bunny - ???? update :) Please!

Sid I am not. Saying. Anything. That's all.

I think (???) I may have OV last night though FF doesn't seem to agree; I dipped a bit yesterday, though not below the cover line, and then today shot up to 36.6. This is 3ish days after having a LH surge.

Is this possible? It is the day FF predicted I would OV based on last month, so feels right, plus I had slight sharp pain in my right side where ovary would be, and last month I had the same on the left.

Anyhow, I've convinced myself it happened! Now just have to collar DH one last time tonight.......

ladybunnikins · 09/10/2013 18:06

FF won't agree you've ovulated until you've had 3 post ov temps above baseline.

CatsCantFlyFast · 09/10/2013 18:30

Yup rp it looks like you ovulated yesterday to me. FF may struggle to confirm it even after 3 days as your temps either side of O are open circles, but think you will at least get dashed crosshairs in a couple of days. And now the waiting....

Bunnygirlie · 09/10/2013 18:41

I'm alive! Update from me and then I'll catch up -

Hello my lovelies, still in hospital, had a sarnie and some icecream which was lush! Need to have anther wee before they let me go and a little walk and take out my drip. It was one hell of a weird experience!

From what I remember all ok, tubes clear and been flushed out, endo removed and left ovary unstuck! Consultant says will be more fertile next 3 months but will be on ivf list anyway. DH has blood test Friday in preparation for his sperm freeze which I hope is soon!

Bunnygirlie · 09/10/2013 18:46

yorkie hugs Hun, sorry you are feeling blue

Hello everyone, how are you all?

yorkiebilb · 09/10/2013 18:51

Thanks for the messages of positivity ladies! All done but was a very odd experience. Nothing I can do now other than ttc tonight and tomorrow but if it doesn't happen we've got an appt to discuss the possibility of egg sharing ivf in Jan.

Yep triggered yesterday lunchtime merk. Had to do it in the cubicles at work - felt like a drug addict!

rp sounds like you ovulated so fx for the tww!

yorkiebilb · 09/10/2013 19:01

Great news bunny sounds all very positive! Glad to hear you're okay. Hope you get discharged soon.
