Your last thread got somewhat derailed so I thought I would treat you to a lovely shiny new place full of real open fires, fluffy blankets and an aga for baking bread and warming soups and stews. Back on with the job in hand ladies, lets have a round up of who's doing what and when.

Thanks Boo

I love a crunch bar Cups! Do you know what I have recently rediscovered? The gold bar. Oh yes indeedy.

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 26/09/2013 12:40

Thanks Boo your amazing too! I'm so glad I got to meet you and the beautiful booby x

Maybe god I love a gold bar, it's like eating a full days calories in one go. I'm ashamed to admit I've eaten more than one gold bar at a time Confused

ScarlettInSpace · 26/09/2013 12:43

Blush sorry for missing the meet up. I didn't get dressed until 18.30 on Sunday Blush and I was ill for 3 days. Perhaps I had a tummy bug rather than just an old age hangover?

Final interview isn't until the week after next aarrrrrggghhhhh - they are dragging it out! It's because they had to coordinate 4 diaries as I'm meeting the directors

In the meantime my current boss is being super nice to me and had a long chat with me yesterday about strategy, opportunites, the future blah blah blah - top tip, if anyone wants to feel valued at work, book a couple of random half days annual leave, it's a big red light that you are unhappy and going for interviews but they can't ask you outright Grin

cups I still havent had an entirely normal cycle since I started treatment... This month was the first 28 day-er since February [just before last IVF] and although I had 8 days of hellish sore boobs before-hand I had no spotting and cramps, both of which I always used to get. oh and they are soooooo heavy now, Super flow tampon lasts 2-3 hours tops in the first 48 hours.

maybe nothing back from PCT, don't know if it's even worth chasing them, it's been 7 weeks, didn't really expect anything less Hmm

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 26/09/2013 12:58

I am sorry you didn't make it to the meet up Scarlett, I was gutted not to meet you or Geek. God it's taken ages for that interview, I'll be brooking super hard for you.

I hope your feeling better now, 3 days is way to long for it to have been just a hangover. It's reassuring to hear about your cycles, I know realistically it can take ages to settle down afterwards. It's just a head fuck you don't need. That's the main reason I'm using the monitor again as hopefully it will stop false hope if my cycles longer than usual.

Speaking of job interviews. One night when I couldn't sleep post IVF/miscarriage I ended up applying for a job and I've just got an interview through for it. I'm in shock, I wasn't expecting to get an interview but I think I really want the job. I feel really guilty as I've only been at my new job for 5 months and they have been super supportive over the IVF and miscarriage. It's in health visiting so I would be working Monday to Friday. I'd even get Christmas Day off (it would be the first time in 7 years!). Obviously it's all very baby orientated which is worrying me a bit but its what I've always wanted to do. Plus most of my patients now are under 5 so it's not like I don't already have to deal with babies. What do you guys think? Is it wrong for me to go to an interview so soon after starting a new job?

ControlGeek · 26/09/2013 14:01

Thank you lovely ladies, sorry to post and run earlier, just was so excited and had to share (then go off and celebrate with lunch with the man himself).

cups I'm sorry about AF, but hopefully this is the start of positive things moving forward for you now. I had to laugh at your telephone antics not that I would eeeeever be seen doing that, oh no not me (much) I hope CBFM proves helpful for you. I'm about to put mine on ebay. Since the D&C in March it's not registered my peaks at all, but I can identify them on the sticks by eye now so I'll keep on with them at least. I was just about to ask if you had tried the new peanut butter chunky kitkat then remembered what you said about nut allergy [d'oh!] And oh my god about your interview (have only just read my way up that far as I'm typing!) - go for it! Your profession is one that tends to move around between jobs every couple of years anyway isn't it? Go for it!

maybe who is Richard Wilson? Good luck with the house hunting, even if it doesn't tick every single box for you it will at least be getting you onto the ladder. That is some cracking hula skirt you've got on there missus Grin

nurse hope things settle down for you soon, you've had so many huge changes all at once it's not surprised you're exhausted from it all.

musical I will start down regging in either November or December, and stimming in either January or February, depending on the impact of my clinic's Christmas refurb. Good luck with your house hunting, too!

Thank you boo Grin

scarlett kudos to you for the three day hangover. That is a bloody accomplishment! The very best of brooking luck for your final round of interviews. Do you know how many are being interviewed? It might just be you! I think it's definitely worth chasing your PCT now it's been so many weeks. Have you even had an acknowledgement letter? I would chase for that at least.

Also apologies for not attending the meetup. I had been really looking forward to it from the word go, but didn't think to factor in when AF was due to land. As it was, every LP I've had since my D&C has been 11 days (down from my pre-D&C LPs of 12 days). This last cycle threw me a real curve ball and for the first time in my life AF was three days late - turned up on the afternoon of LP day 14 and made damn sure I knew about it. Unfortunately that was the Saturday afternoon, with the meetup being the following day. I will make sure I take her calendar into account the next time I give dates for a meetup Wink

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 26/09/2013 22:56

I hope you and MrGeek have continued the celebrations Wink
I'll let you know how I get on with the CBFM, I was thinking of selling mine as well at some point soon.

I've just spent hours on the phone with my old boss getting coached for this job interview. She's suggested about 8 documents to read in prep for the interview so that's my next few weeks sorted!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 26/09/2013 23:10

Cups I say go for this interview!! Sounds absolutely brilliant. And it's what you've always wanted to do. Good for you lovely. And Christmas Day off?! Break open the sherry Wink

Geek who is Richard Wilson??!! I don't believe it! (See what I did there?!)

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 26/09/2013 23:21

Ooh Cups definitely go for the interview!! Sounds great for you.

Maybe I don't believe it, you don't know who Richard Wilson is, he played Gaius is Merlin Grin Wink

OP posts:
NoMaybeAboutIt · 27/09/2013 00:41

Boo I know who he is!! I can't believe Geek doesn't Wink. He was on Saturday kitchen the other week talking about his 5:2 diet. James Martin said if it were him, he'd get up, have a mars bar, then go back to bed. Oh, I love that man so Grin

BlindKitty · 27/09/2013 06:59

music curvy blocks are wrong! I hate change!

maybe ooh how perfect! Is the house ready or still bring built?

cups you've just reminded me to to my cbfm on eBay. I despise it and think I probably blamed it for all my fertility problems lol

NoMaybeAboutIt · 27/09/2013 07:06

Morning all!

Kitty it's still being built. Would be ready two months before fin makes an appearance! Scary times.

Scarlett I managed to completely miss your post! You've waited bloody ages for this interview! You're going to ace its, why are they delaying the inevitable?! That doesn't sound like a hangover lovely, 3 days Shock

Also hate the new curvy blocks. Completely ruins the 'ill only have a line then put it away' intention!

BlindKitty · 27/09/2013 09:24

maybe what if its not ready in time? Will you be ok where you are for a bit?

NoMaybeAboutIt · 27/09/2013 09:48

It really should be finished by the end of march when we are due. Technically we can stay here, but don't fancy moving with a very new baby!

musicalmrs · 27/09/2013 10:50

Maybe how exciting! Are you going for it? Thanks for offer of advice on Chelmsford - if we decide we're going for it I'll have to draw upon your wisdom I think :-) We'll need to move at some stage, but it's when that's the issue! We moved last when I was 38 wks pregnant, which was ok but I was pretty useless - and packing took forever! I think moving with a very new baby would probably be similar (you could shove them in a sling)... but I imagine both situations probably aren't that fun!

Yes yes yes to whoever says the curvy blocks make it harder to just have a line of chocolate. You then think you'll have one more to even it out a bit better.. then another... until the whole bar is gone. I've not done that, of course

NoMaybeAboutIt · 27/09/2013 11:21

We are seriously considering it Musical! Definitely give me a shout if you decide on Chelmsford. Or any of the surrounding areas Smile

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 27/09/2013 11:59

Helloooooo, does anyone remember me? My Brooking baby is now nearly 19 months and I am planning on starting ttc after my next period (which according to FF is due on 8 Oct). So excited! I have been taking folic acid when I remember and I'm so broody.

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 27/09/2013 12:11

Hi Too I think I remember you, did you used to have dumbledore or something like that in your nickname? I used to be called BabySade. I've been here for a few years. I'm still ttc #1, we have unexplained infertility and are having IVF.

Music I remember you moving. God you definitely don't want to do that again especially with DD to look after now! That would be freaky if you and Maybe end up living near each other Smile

Kitty how are you and kitten doing?

I'm off out to take my nan shopping, I'm doing my good deed for the week. Wish me luck. I'll be subjected to a few hours of non stop criticism. Can't wait Grin

BlindKitty · 27/09/2013 12:21

cups not sure about kitten but my puppies are looking amazing haha!!! Don't think I've EVER said that before! Feeling absolutely fine. Roll on scan tues!

BlindKitty · 27/09/2013 12:22

Oh and you'll defo go to heaven cups

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 27/09/2013 12:35

Oooh, hi Cupcakes! I remember you! Yup, I used to be variants on TooImmatureTurtleDoves/2BDumbledore or something like that. I'm so sorry to hear about the unexplained infertility - Brooking hard for IVF to work! Good luck with your nan Grin. Mine puts her hands on my waist and then tells me to watch out or I'll end up like my fat aunty. Hmm Grandmothers, eh?

My problems aren't ttc-related (usually!), they're more to do with complications in pregnancy. DD1 was stillborn, and DD2 (my lovely Brooking baby) put us through a roller-coaster of a pregnancy by producing a nuchal score of 1:10 at 13 weeks, causing much panic until luckily an amnio at 16 weeks ruled out Down's/Patau's etc, and then at the 20 week scan we discovered that one of her kidneys hadn't developed properly. She is absolutely fine now and one kidney is plenty to be going on with. Oh, she's waking up. Back in a bit!

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 27/09/2013 13:30

Thanks Too. I remembered about your DD1 and all the worry with DD2. This ttc is never easy. I'll be brooking for an uneventful pg this time for you. You really deserve that. I can't believe your DD2 is 19 months already Smile

keepitgoing · 27/09/2013 15:00

Oh my goodness too what a story you poor thing. Here's brooking for an easy then uneventful pregnancy this time round. Boring is good!

Have the second timers decided to come back en masse or something? Were y'all scared of us?

maybe we are halfheartedly househunting too. Planning to move in Feb if we can, when kip will be two months old. That is if I can get the energy to find and complete on a house in that time. So, a bit more unlikely than dh would hope.

RubberBullets · 27/09/2013 15:24

I feel like the only old timer not coming bac to ttc at the moment

cartoontrickster · 27/09/2013 15:56

hi brookers, lovely new Fred here.
there's obviously something in the water over on post grads! oh rubber it will be your turn again soon! I know it. hi too we met briefly a few months ago.
