Your last thread got somewhat derailed so I thought I would treat you to a lovely shiny new place full of real open fires, fluffy blankets and an aga for baking bread and warming soups and stews. Back on with the job in hand ladies, lets have a round up of who's doing what and when.

Good luck Fox. GPs will only do the basic bloods and they should insist your DH does a sperm sample, as your results are meaningless unless he has his done too

Beedle is right about MrMaybes sperm, they told us it was low when it was zero. But they wouldnt give me a value, even though I asked.

Also, do you know roughly when you ovulate? As day 21 bloods won't necessarily be on day 21. And unfortunately, they will not run tests after a mc unless you have three in a row.

Hope all goes well x

Fox82 · 14/10/2013 11:51

Thanks maybe!

I don't feel like I'm more at risk of miscarriage as I've had one (fingers crossed!) it's just that I've since been told I should've been checked that I had miscarried completely at the time. But maybe that's wrong? And I guess I'd have known by now if there was a major problem as it was years ago?!

I do know when I ovulate if I go by my opk results and have everything written down for the gp Grin. I'm actually on day 21 today and expecting a 29 day cycle.

Thanks both for the info about the SA. I'll make sure I ask about it if the gp doesn't mention it

In other news, got a new dining table and chairs delivered this morning. It's lovely! The table is a lot bigger it's huge than I remember though!! It would've been perfect for our new house, but as the sale fell through its way too big for our little flat Hmm

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 14/10/2013 14:47

Hello all, just been catching up on all the news Halloween Smile

I know Keep. I know it is true but it was a bit annoying considering I was employed as a Receptionist but ended up doing additional jobs for no extra pay such as becoming the IT Department, Purchase Ledger, fixing machines in the workshop...

Fox82 · 14/10/2013 19:22

How's everyone's day been?

I've had a good day! Feeling positive for a change Grin The gp was lovely and arranged a test for iron, chlamydia and 21 day bloods, all of which I had done this afternoon as I happen to be on day 21 today!! And she gave me a form to have my day 3 bloods and a pot for DH Grin

NoMaybeAboutIt · 14/10/2013 19:24

Ah, that's fantastic news Fox! It helps so much when you have a GP that listens to you!!

Fox82 · 14/10/2013 20:16

Thanks Maybe! Yes she was really nice. I was a bit nervous about having to fight for what I wanted but it went perfectly, so I can relax now. At the moment I feel so much happier just knowing something's being done, even though it could be bad news.

By the way, chlamydia test was just routine Halloween Grin

NoMaybeAboutIt · 14/10/2013 20:24

Halloween Grin Fox I've had so many STD tests in the last year, panic not!! I know what you mean though, just doing something makes such a difference doesn't it.

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 14/10/2013 20:47

Woo hoo Fox that's great Halloween Grin

OP posts:
BeedlesPineNeedles · 15/10/2013 07:50

Great news fox sounds like you have a good GP. What did mrFox say when you presented him with his pot? Halloween Grin

I don't think my follicles are growing quite as well as last time as theyhave kept me on the same dose of Menopur instead of reducing it, but I have a definite tenderness in the area of my ovaries so I'm fairly sure something is happening.
I told MrB that I thought EC might be next Monday, at which point he decided to inform me he has a really important all day meeting. Halloween Shock I told him that seeing as he hadn't thought to mention it earlier he could speak to the clinic about whether he can JIAJ a little earlier. It would be nice if he was there to hold my hand, but seeing as they were ok to do EC speaking English to me last time I'm sure I could cope on my own. he did say he wanted to be there so I'm hoping he will tell work he can't be there (his boss knows about the IVF but hopefully it wouldn't require too much explanation to any bigger bosses)

keepitgoing · 15/10/2013 09:18

oh god beedle, silly MrB. Still, maybe EC won't be on Monday. And if it is you'll figure something out - he'll have to JIAP at 5am or something... You'll be fine - after all you know what to expect this time even if you're on your own. I'd come with you! Do you have some time booked off during the tww or not? Brooking that the extra menopur give your eggs that little extra boost that they need.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 15/10/2013 10:47

Oh no Beedle! But I'm sure you'll work a way around it.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 15/10/2013 12:05

yes keep silly MrBeedle! well its up to him to sort something out, my Swedish is not up to saying "my boyfriend is a bloomin' idiot, how do we sort this out?" But hopefully he's coming with me for my scan on Thursday so hopefully we'll have more idea of what's happening and we can attempt to find a solution. maybe the extra menopur will do such a good job that I'll have to have EC on Sunday!
I'm only planning on having the 3 days of EC to ET off, and it also looks like I will be away at a work conference on my OTD Halloween Shock Though as I started bleeding at 13dpEC last time I'm hoping I'll know one way of the other before I go away - I'm also hoping that I don't have to share a room with a colleague Halloween Shock

thanks for the dancing maybe :o

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 15/10/2013 17:10

How infuriating, Beedle, Brooking that MrB sorts himself out sharpish! And sorts himself out sharpish when the time comes with some extra good quality JIAP. What is OTD? I think I've worked out most of the other acronyms. Halloween Blush

Sorry have been a bit lax at keeping up - I am a bit wary about MNing on a conception board at work! Too many people can see my screen these days - oh for the good old days when my screen pointed away from everyone else and I could MN to my heart's content! Also, my laptop gave up the ghost and I hate posting on my phone because it takes so long to type. I will try harder, o Brookers!

In my news, AF showed up right on cue on the 8th, hurray, but then buggered about a bit getting going Halloween Hmm so was still pretty heavy yesterday. I ought to be all clear to start ttc today but I don't think the evil witch will have left the building by tonight, grr! DH will be most disappointed. I may have however spent some time this morning putting 8 October into the MN due date calculator and working out that a due date of 19 July would mean a baby born at 38 weeks which would be 5 July, which is a Saturday so call it 7 or 8 July for the ELCS, which would be an age gap of 2 years and 4 months between DD2 and the new baby...Halloween Blush

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 15/10/2013 18:41

oh Beedle what is it with these men folk, not sure if I told you over here, Mr B actually went to work, a 40 minute drive away, but got dropped off by a colleague so he had no way home, on a 10.30 - 7.30pm shift the day I was being induced Halloween Shock we had to be at the hospital by 8pm, not entirely sure what he thought was going to happen what actually happened was I was screaming like a banchee at him, so he lied to work and told them I was in labour and they collected him early

OP posts:
musicalmrs · 15/10/2013 19:26

Oh Beedle how infuriating. Hope MrBeedle manages to sort something out...!

Fox so glad the appointment went well!

Too, glad AF is finally on her way out. How exciting about TTCing again. I can't wait to get started! (though am apprehensive too..)

Very excited by Stacks' news Wink

Fox82 · 15/10/2013 19:59

Stacks so excited about your news!! Grin

Oh no Beedle! Hopefully EC isn't Monday or Mr B sorts something out. Brooking for the follies!!

Exciting AF is going and you can get ttc again Too! It's great working out dates etc isn't it! And sounds like a good age gap! Grin

Love the story about Mr B Boo! Grin Silly men!

Mr F is willing to do his part of the investigations but draws the line at speaking to the person at the desk and handing over his ahem.. sample. So I said it doesn't bother me, I'll hand it in! But a bit worried that we have to book an appointment to hand it in, and it has to be there within an hour - preferably half an hour - of being, well, produced. Think DH might find this a bit too much pressure! We shall see!

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 15/10/2013 20:32

Anyone else have a vision of the follies dance being a line of tutu-clad ovaries all can-canning away in the manner of the Folies Bergere? No? Just me then...

Stacks, your news is so wonderful! Grin

Yikes, Fox, having to..ahem...produce the goods and then rush them to the docs is somewhat alarming! Bet the receptionist is sat there going 'I know what you've been doing!'

Musical, can't wait for you to join the ttc-ers!

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 15/10/2013 20:44

yep just you Too. My Follie imaginary dance is more like the opening credits for a 1980's bond film, all wafty and airy Grin

OP posts:
ScarlettInSpace · 15/10/2013 21:14

Haha my mental image of the grow follies dance is very Hawaiian Luau Halloween Grin

musicalmrs · 15/10/2013 23:41

My imaginary follie dance is quite Fantasia-esque.

Eek to the time pressure Fox. I suppose that's why samples are often produced on site...

I can't wait either Too! Only about 30 pills left. DH and I did originally say December but my pills run out mid Nov... nothing will happen instantly anyway and it seems daft to go back for only a couple of weeks' worth. Just practicing my story for when I mention it to him.. Grin

BeedlesPineNeedles · 16/10/2013 07:06

too OTD is official test date, they make me wait about 16 days after EC until they will accept the result of a test (actually they say don't test before then, but like that's going to happen!)

I'm loving all the dancing Halloween Grin

Am I being a bit dim, I can't see anything exciting posted by stacks

I've given MrB the phone number and the times he can ring the clinic, so now its up to him

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 16/10/2013 07:19

Beedle there is a rather exciting pic over on the FB page Halloween Grin we're waiting for confirmation!

OP posts:
BeedlesPineNeedles · 16/10/2013 09:14

Stacks if this is exciting PIAR news why is there no update? Halloween Grin surely as you have a small child you must be up and awake by now

Stacks · 16/10/2013 09:27

Morning. Beedle somehow putting it on fb seemed less 'real' than saying on here! I POAS stick yesterday morning, checked it and nothing.. Went back hours later and there was an invisible line there (except the Brookers claim to see it too, over on fb). This morning I've POAS again and the invisible line was there after 5 minutes. However, it really is invisible so I'm ignoring it all till the weekend!

Can anyone else not bring themselves to accept the new meaning of 'literally'? It no longer means literally!!!

I'll go re-read the last few posts again, got distracted how unfair I'd been to the non-fb Brookers.
