Your last thread got somewhat derailed so I thought I would treat you to a lovely shiny new place full of real open fires, fluffy blankets and an aga for baking bread and warming soups and stews. Back on with the job in hand ladies, lets have a round up of who's doing what and when.

Hurrah hurrah for both Cups and Scarlett!

Good to know this brooking malarky isn't only successful for BFPs, sneeze births and sleep.. Grin

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 11/10/2013 20:16

Thanks Keep and Musical Smile

Yep it's with the health visiting team. I need to learns loads more about babies fast! I'm so used to seeing sick babies I don't know what to do with well ones.

It's ideal really as they will pay for me to do my training when I'm ready. I could have applied for the years course starting in jan but with ttc and IVF it's not the best timing.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 11/10/2013 20:18

So seriously, can I just get preggers this time round? That would be quite great really. Have a few friends coming to stay this weekend with other halves, and two of them have babies to bring. --wonder if they would notice if I just kept one...-

Congrats on the new jobs. One time when I handed my notice in my boss just said that nobody is irreplacable.

anactualnurse · 13/10/2013 19:56

Am getting there kitty, still in a period of transition, but I've had a house full of babas this weekend, and have told mr nurse that this is our first month of properly trying, so am gonna need lots of hand holding in the 2ww not that I'm putting any pressure on myself, of course.

keepitgoing · 13/10/2013 20:31

BeedlesPineNeedles · 14/10/2013 07:32

Congratulations on the new jobs cups and scarlett I'm sure the new job brooking vibes will help you too fox

nurse I do hope you're not going to tie mrnurse to teh bed for the next couple of weeks :o

I've been for a blood test this morning so they can decide how much of the drugs I need over the next few days, I'm expecting that they will want me in for a scan on thursday. I think the menopur is working as my ovaries are feeling rather heavy

Fox82 · 14/10/2013 10:05

Thanks Beedles and good luck Nurse! Wink

I'm off to my gp appointment today to say I want to start investigations. I'm going to take details of past cycles, ask for day 3 and 21 tests and mention that I wasn't checked at all after my miscarriage. Is there anything else I should really be saying/asking for?

BeedlesPineNeedles · 14/10/2013 10:15

fox MrFox will need a sperm test, but maybe he will need to see his own GP, but you can ask anyway. Not really sure there is much more that the GP can do. But if they agree to the tests make sure you get actual figures from the GP when you get the results, so we or google can tell you whether they are OK. I think it was MrMaybe's GP who said the sprem test was ok when in fact there were none (I'm giving this advice even though I have no idea what any of our results look like - but all our tests have been done by fertility specialists, so I hope they know what they are doing!!)

BeedlesPineNeedles · 14/10/2013 10:17

ooh new smileys Halloween Grin is it for halloween?

Fox82 · 14/10/2013 10:28

Thanks for the advice Beedles that's really helpful. I'm really worried that the gp won't take me seriously and just get me to come back another time. I don't know why. I've just never had a good gp. But I'm going to write down what I want to say and try and make sure I get answers!

Ooooh Halloween Hmm Halloween Confused (just for fun)
