Onefunky that's great your feeling good!! :) lovely for you :)

LH I'm ttc no 2, but my first is 12yrs old so I'm all out of touch! I had him when I was 19 so I was young and everything seems so different now! But I'm excited to be ttc as my DH hasn't got any biological children so it will be lovely for him! He's a fantastic stepdad and I feel our family will be complete once we have a little'un! So really hoping for a BFP asap :) as we all are!!!

LH1981 · 18/09/2013 21:34

Mama31, it will be so nice for your OH to experience it with you and for your son to have a sibling too! My boys keep asking when they can have a brother or sister (we haven't mentioned it to them) so seems they are just as keen!
Fingers crossed for all of us! X

ExactlyWhat · 18/09/2013 21:57

LH my 2 are the same...aged nearly 6 and 3 they are convinced there will be a new baby coming. They already talk about 'when the baby comes!' We have mentioned nothing! Dd's best friend's mum is pg so think that has started it!

Hi everyone.. Try to keep up with the chat but moves so very quickly!!

Reckon we're due a bfp very soon... Who's next??? I'm due af on Tues. have to confess to POAS on Monday purely because there was on in the house...duh, of course it was neg! Aiming to hold off till Sunday...

Anyone have any symptoms??

cheesysmile · 18/09/2013 22:09

Hello there you chatty ladies!

I'm in my 2ww now, but only 4-5days in and bored bored bored of waiting already! I have already convinced myself I have symptoms ... I probably don't though Blush

Hope everyone's doing well - anyone got any 2ww symptoms to share that I can convince myself I have too?!

jessieagain · 18/09/2013 22:10

Hi everyone!

Ok I have ordered opks and cheap hcg tests from ebay in preparations for next cycle but I'm still not completely off the bus here, no af and a bfn a couple of days ago (Tuesday I think?)

Can anyone tell me when the earliest, most likely time to poas to be accurate is?

Is it 14 dpo? Or is it a day or 2 after that as that is typically when one would miss af?

jessieagain · 18/09/2013 22:12

I just remembered I poas only yesterday Blush feels like an age ago

wispaxmas · 18/09/2013 22:15

I've not been symptom spotting, to be honest.. Been too busy today running around like mad, getting Wispa her pet passport, chucking loads of things at charity shops, etc.

now I'm lying in bed I think I might have some dull cramps? 7dpo, dare I think it might be implantation? I would think that most women feel no implantation symptoms, though...

And welcome LH, you do sound nutty enough to fit fit in. I hope your cycles settle down quickly!

cheesysmile · 18/09/2013 22:15

Hi Jessie - I might be wrong but I think 1st day of missed period is on average 15dpo, i.e. would be CD1 if not pregnant. Although would be different for everyone depending on your LP length. Not sure if that helps or not...

ELR · 18/09/2013 22:19

Evening all, what's the earliest I an Poas? Think I ov last Wednesday and due on next Wednesday but its driving me mad!!
I've got sore boobs and have had a bit of light cramping and think I felt abit queasy earlier but, I had all these things last month and obviously wasn't pregnant then so the symptoms mean nothing at all!!!!

jessieagain · 18/09/2013 22:22

cheesy thanks, that is what I was thinking but wasn't sure as I know it would depend on individual cycle length, but they would use the standard 28 day cycle with day 14 being ov and then 15 days later would be when af was late.

I am pretty sure the last possible ov date for me was the weekend of the 7/8th so if I poas sat morning that would give me a pretty accurate bfn. What do you think?

wispaxmas · 18/09/2013 22:23

Jessie, it depends what day implantation happens, it can be anywhere from from 6-12dpo, and the the actual implantation could take a couple days, and then on top of that there's a couple days before it will show up on a urine test.

So.. It's technically possible to get a pos at 8dpo, but just as possible that it will be negative until 18dpo!

jessieagain · 18/09/2013 22:24

wispa you are off to Paris, is that right? When do you leave? Are you putting your ttc on hold?

jessieagain · 18/09/2013 22:29

wispa ok maybe I will wait to Monday then. I really don't like getting bfn, makes me so sad, would rather just get af.

jessieagain · 18/09/2013 22:30

And it had already been 30 days since last af! The longest I usually wait is ab

jessieagain · 18/09/2013 22:32

And it had already been 30 days since last af! The longest I usually wait is about 36 days, usually 30-33. I can't believe I am now hoping af comes soon Grin

Polkadot1 · 18/09/2013 22:40

Hi, Can I join this thread? I'm new to mums net (so don't know all the abbreviations!) except we're ttc, number 2, (number 1 is 11 months). I'm 39, so hoping it won't take forever!
Bought some OPKs, and used them for the first time this month, but I'm away with work at the peak fertility time, so I'm thinking its not gonna work!

jessieagain · 18/09/2013 22:40

elr I think the very earliest is 8 dpo. By that is the very earliest, so least likely for an accurate result.

internationallove985 · 18/09/2013 22:42

Nothing to do with TTC but it did have the cute factor. I've Just been watching animal maternity. I wanted to cuddle them all. They're so innocent and trusting aren't they baby animals, as are human babies. It was amazing to watch all the new life and how the mums cared for their new arrivals. x

cheesysmile · 18/09/2013 22:44

Jessie - I would think this Sat should be fine to test but if you'd rather wait and see if AF turns up then yeah maybe wait a bit longer as like Wispa said some people take longer for bfp to show up.

Wispa well done on not symptom spotting, I can't help myself! I'm sure I have a dry mouth today and have had slight tummy cramps yesterday / today plus get the odd kinda twing in boobs. I'm sure these all have other explanations or I could just be imagining them! It does seem too early for symptoms really ...

cheesysmile · 18/09/2013 22:46

Hi Polkadot - good luck with you journey this time round. Hope you don't have to wait too long Smile

internationallove985 · 18/09/2013 22:47

Hi Polkadot. Welcome aboard. You're in good but crazy company. I didn't understand any abbreviations when I first joined so I'll be happy to help another newbie. xx

ExactlyWhat · 18/09/2013 22:56

Sounds like lots of us will be due to test next week... Exciting times! Come on BFP's!
If anyone haves heard that a huge spot, conjunctivitis and massive ulcer in your mouth..plus a bit of swollen glands is a symptom then I'm your girl! Sounding really attractive aren't I?!?! But yes that is me for the past 24 hours! Am very lucky in that I only work 3 days a week and off now with DS till Monday. Unfortunately that leaves a lot of time to potentially be POAS too early...

wispaxmas · 19/09/2013 07:00

Jessie, I'm still hoping you get your bfp! As for us, we are going to Paris the 2nd week of October and no way are we putting TTC on hold!

mama31 · 19/09/2013 07:37

Wispa that's so exciting! Hope you get paris and your bfp!!! :)
