AFM, still had no positive OPK yesterday and today is my 3rd day of EWCM, so expecting to ov any day now..

now there's a question- how many days prior to ov do you normally have EWCM?

It is still hard to believe, it's only just starting to sink in that I'm pregnant. I've been so sick, I've been a total zombie and I'm only just coming out of the stupor to realise that my entire body appears to have been taken over!

Wispa wish I could help but I'm also confused re opks! Had a 2nd line sat and sun which has completely gone now! Have some ewcm today....so just gona keep dtd as I just don't know when/if ovulation has happened or is approaching! Ov calculator says on my 23day cycle fertile window is 9-13th so I will keep dtd til 15th just to be on the safe side ;)

My only advice is therefore DTD and keep DTD as long as you think ovulation could/might be in the air!!!

wispa I thought the ewcm was meant to be directly around ovulation. Is that not right?

I don't do opks but am pretty sure of the rough time of my ovulation as I get sharp cramps as well as changes in cm at that time that are pretty textbook. It also ties in to the estimates given by ovulation calendars.

I should probably go and read up on it again as I can't remember.

Just had the faintest of faint pink lines when POAS......not sure if it means a positive yet. Will have to buy more and do it again in the morning.

Definitely thought we were out of the running this month can't quite believe we might have done it!

Onefunky - so you think AF is due today? I would wait to see if she shows up and test in the morning. So far i think af turning up is easier to deal with than a bfn. FX for you!

nottalotta I'm not sure- it was late (4 days) last time and obviously I had conceived as I had 4 BFPs. But, I think I OV'd at the same date I would if nothing had happened (felt like my body just kind of ignored it!) I guess I'd better hang on another couple of days to test though. I have one in the cupboard and I keep glancing at it.

jessie, here's what my FF emails say about EWCM:

'"Egg white" cervical fluid provides nourishment for sperm and allows them to move and thrive for the few days around ovulation when you are most fertile. When this kind of cervical fluid is present, sperm can be nourished and transported within your reproductive tract. Once in your reproductive tract in fertile cervical fluid, the sperm can wait for the egg to be released. This "egg white" fluid is usually observed in the most fertile days just before ovulation, drying up quickly after ovulation.'

I've had it for 3 days in a row, and it's definitely EWCM.. But another negative OPK today, too. I think I read somewhere that EWCM can last up to a week, but I can't remember where!
