Early is definitely better but 9 month late is far better notta

Mistyautumn · 08/09/2013 21:38

Well looking at OPK think I ov'd yesterday. Managed to DTD fri night and this afternoon. Was hoping for a bit more but poor DH has had a bit of performance anxiety. Hoping it will be enough. 2ww I am now in your clutches. Please be gentle xx

englishteacher78 · 09/09/2013 05:48

My trainer knows I'm TTC and has done loads of research into the current thinking. Which is relatively sensible. Stick to perceived effort of between 6-8 (so no sprint training!), reduce weights, but you can do more reps so getting the same benefit. And adapted ab work. Oh and nothing that might damage bump. So no bench presses in case the bar falls on me! So really, in terms of my training pregnancy is going to be awesome! Grin

Sparrowlegs248 · 09/09/2013 06:32

You are right of course geekgirl .....you see so many people obsessing about when to test, then getting lots of bfn its quite sad. Of course i show no such craziness!! Oh no not me!! Grin

purple seriously. I am in awe of your cream egg eating skills.

Sparrowlegs248 · 09/09/2013 06:35

Goodluck misty i think i am due to ov thurs or fri. Managed to dtd yestetday and will try again today and will try another twice but not sure if we will fit it in!!

PurpleGeekyGirl · 09/09/2013 07:23

Woohoo flashing Grin and cd8 so a normal cycle hopefully. Will be pouncing on dp when I get back from my first day at work. Bit nervous about that (work, not dtd Wink).

Notta sadly I can still eat that many. It's baaaaad!!

Sparrowlegs248 · 09/09/2013 07:33

Good luck at work purple

So i ov thursday. I won't be dtd every day so when do you lovely ladies think is best - twas done yesterday.

cheesysmile · 09/09/2013 07:42

Morning ladies!

I got my first flashing Smile today on cd12. How long do people normally have that before it fixes or is there no normal!

Notta think I would go with today, Wed & Thurs. Are you sure you will ov Thursday? Cud just go with Wed / Thurs maybe if you are?

Sparrowlegs248 · 09/09/2013 07:57

Thanks cheesy and no i'm not sure, just going by averages for my length cycle at this stage.

I have seen people on here have flashy faces for up to 15 days!!! (hence not yet participating....give it a few months and i will surely cave in)

Hope yours is more reliable.

SoMuchFruit · 09/09/2013 08:14

12 Creme Eggs !! In one go ? I am awed.

nottalotta - The ones right on the line of sane/nuts are always more fun though Grin I have two others also, one is a field ornament/DS rides him occasionally and the other is a 10wk old foal (+mare but she's not mine and when he's weaned she goes back to her owner)

I still am imagining symptoms. Had another sicky moment last night. I hadn't thought of giving up everything entirely during the 2WW (i.e drinking/odd cigarette) but with all these 'signs' I am wondering if I should ?

I am not a heavy drinker but was cold last night after yard jobs so friend and I had a hot port each. And I usually smoke e-cigarettes (the lowest nicotine kind) but I do have the odd proper fag. Especially in weak moments emergencies..

Does everyone else totally abstain or do you just reduce any vices ?

lucyfluff · 09/09/2013 08:28

Morning lovely ladies!!!

This morning has been hectic with a capital H!!! Water leak, ds 8th bday, school run!!! Im tired already.

On a positive note I had my psychic reading back....will try and post when on a laptop but its good news :)

jessieagain · 09/09/2013 08:42

Hi mind if I join?

I have a 2yo ds and have just started ttc this month. Due to poas on the 20th and getting impatient!

mama31 · 09/09/2013 08:49

Wow! Ladies I had quite a bit of catching up to do there and only missed a day!!! Lol chatty bunch!!

Well cd6 for me and according to my 23day cycle (even tho af just finished) I should now be approaching my fertile window. Opks were quite a strong line sat and sun (not just as strong as the control line but almost) so I will do opks this aft and hopefully it will be positive if all goes to plan. DH due home this evening and he has already asked when I'm ovulating as he's more than up for it!!! Lol

We did manage to dtd 3 times over sat and sun....not sure if that will help but its a good start :) with a 23 days cycle it feels like such a whirlwind- straight off af to ovulation and ttc!!! Then 2ww/symptom spotting then af and all over again! Its all happening here no rest for the wicked ;)

Hope you all had a fab wkend! Enjoy your monday also (if that's pos) :)

mama31 · 09/09/2013 08:50

Oh and welcome jessie! Roll on 20th for you!!

PurpleGeekyGirl · 09/09/2013 08:50

Notta thanks :)
SoMuch I'm not sure it's anything to be proud of ;-) I also ahem smoke sometimes. Not everyday but 2-3 times a week and only one a day. Of course I'll quit as soon as I get a bfp yada yada yada but at the moment I am still indulging.
cheesy on a normal cycle I get 2-3 days of flashing before a fixed but it's been as long as 6 days and as short as 1. Sometimes I go from O to fixed with no flashing but those cycles are generally very short ones where I get ewcm whilst AF is still here sorry for tmi!

Choccywoccydodah · 09/09/2013 08:51

Morning ladies!
Purple, now I want sodding crime eggs! I could so eat that many!

Somuchfruit I totally stop everything, but I don't miss it, it's a personal choice to you really.

God I'm sooooooo tired. Word of advice to you ladies when you do have a baby, do not, and I mean do NOT, put your child in a bed! Keep them in a cot period!! And buy a cot bed, not a cot. Ds was the best sleeper ever, we had to wake him at 10am from going to bed at 7pm from 4 months. He outgrew his cot at 17 months as he is so long and tall (were advised to buy a cot as by the time he outgrew it, might aswell put him in a bed-false!)
Since January he's been a nightmare! He does not stay in bed, we get the odd night. The dr even prescribed him a sedative a few weeks ago which worked getting him to sleep, but still up in the night when it wore off. Yawn..........

Choccywoccydodah · 09/09/2013 08:52

Jessieagain, we are POAS buddies Smile. Welcome to the mad bus!

PurpleGeekyGirl · 09/09/2013 08:53

mama it is a whirlwind isn't it! I'm obviously on a longer cycle this month than last and it felt weird having three non fertile days after AF had left rather than just one or two.

Good luck pouncing on your OH. I broke the news to my dp today so he's metaphorically girded his loins in prep for later lol!

PurpleGeekyGirl · 09/09/2013 08:54

choccy sorry!!! I bet you could find some if you looked hard enough ;-)

cheesysmile · 09/09/2013 08:59

Thanks Notta and Purple, well guess I just keep doing them and hope the flashing ones don't stay too long!

Have a good day everyone Smile

Spirael · 09/09/2013 09:21

Morning all! I can't believe how fast this bus moves, I'm sure last time I was busing it wasn't this busy! Oh well, it's nice to have lots of people to chatter to. :)

Well, I'm officially on the 2WW now and, naturally, symptom spotting like mad. Unusually for me (when not pregnant) I've had to get up overnight to use the toilet for the last few nights. I also normally love cider, but found the half I had on Saturday night was revolting.

I've also been having a succession of period cramps over the weekend. Possibly implantation? But more likely to be related to the side effects of taking iron tablets...

I'm meant to be testing on the 19th, assuming I have a 26 day cycle as usual. However last cycle was 23 days so I'm currently debating the merits of POAS on the 17th, assuming that AF hasn't got me by then.

I now have 1 x Predictor, 2 x First Response and 2 x CB Digital sitting on the windowsill in my bathroom. Grin Asda have a pretty good sale on, if anyone is after tests!

mama31 · 09/09/2013 09:48

Oh no! Don't tell me that ill be off to asda for cb digis! Lol not even past ovulation yet! Haha!

Purplegeekygirl I'm just assuming ill have another 23day cycle but no clue really so will play it by ear and really glad I have opks this time as at least I know when to up the anti!!

jessieagain · 09/09/2013 09:55

Hi choccy so excited about having a poas buddy! Fingers crossed we make it!

gillywillywoo · 09/09/2013 10:44

Morning all. I've been pretty quiet so far this month... Only just approaching my fertile period.

Well... Cd14 today but don't usually get a positive OPK til cd20 so still have a week to go til I ovulate but will start dtd more often from now.....Smile

My body is a bit unpredictable and I could ovulate earlier or later... Especially after having a chemical pregnancy last cycle Sad

Anyway I hope everyone is well! I went to Paris on Saturday which was great.

Internationallove you need to stop putting kisses on the end of all of your posts... No offence but it almost makes me sick in my mouth and I'm not the only one that feels this way!! Grin Please stooopppp! Grin

Writerwannabe83 · 09/09/2013 10:49

Maybe that's why I have suddenly started being sick all the time, i must have been reading too many of her posts Smile

This is a joke by the way International Smile

I'm glad you had a nice time in Paris Gilly, I have never been but would love to. Good luck with all your DTD and I hope this month is your month x
