Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share and with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo;

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

The link to Part 17 is here

Happy shagging shaggers!

no grad thread link sorry, can someone else add this please?

fifi Must be one of those things where the advice is mixed, I definitely read several sources that said only the later months are a problem, first trimester it doesn't pose an issue.

Thanks alohomora! Think I just feel the urge to do something proactive when really I have done what I can in going to the docs.

This version of the fred needs a BFP but no one seems to be testing. Who is next??

ZingWantsCake · 06/09/2013 20:46

no, you shouldn't use nurofen at while pg or bf. not even Lemsip!

but it's ok for AF cramps as I'm definitely not pg!

Yup zing this is my first Grin

The nurofen/ibuprofen def can't have in pregnancy.
The midwife told me that at my appointment.

And if I remember correctly on the leaflet it says it can cause infertility while being used but it will be reversed once stopped.

I thought there was a synchro pee this week?

I'm sticking with "I don't want a baby" and am testing on Friday 13th as its supposed to be unlucky and hopefully mr sod will turn up with a BFP!

I thought paracetamol was all you good take while pregnant and all the good stuff was off limits

I love a synchro pee, when's that??

Loving the law of sod approach curly. I tried that a couple months ago by getting wedding dress and buying theatre tickets for next year. Didn't work but I have faith in you!

Going to meet a 4 day old baby tomorrow. It's going to be tough but hoping his cuteness will help me forget my struggle!

Think I've been hampering our chances. Been taking naproxen (v strong NSAID) for over a year. Have stopped now so things should get back on track. I take it codeine (as in cocodamol) will be off limits soon too then?

lil1ady · 06/09/2013 21:52

hey ladies. nice to see the lurkers Smile

I'd give up all the painkillers for a bfp. not that I ever take any. don't believe in masking what my body is trying to tell me unless its incredibly painful.

having a shit time here generally on RL and AF due tomorrow and I reckon she will show some point this weekend.

Red, my lovely, so sorry about the results. As someone already said morphology can be helped though. Is the count okay? Make sure Mr Red wears loose underpants, takes men's conception vitamins with selenium and zinc in, don't have hot baths, showers or saunas, and dont wear tight trousers (pants to you). Eat turkey as it has lots of selenium and tomatoes too. Remember any changes you make will take 3 months to show up on a semen analysis test. I hope this helps.

Red- I'm sure there's things they can do about your uterus too. Try not to worry and do stuff to take your mind off it. Shagging seems great! Grin Thinking of you Thanks

Hi to everyone else and the newbs too. Welcome!

Hmmmm I often take ibuprofen for headaches etc... Must stock up on paracetamol... Do you have a link about it?

Report
ChubbyKitty · 07/09/2013 02:42

Another one here who loves a couple of ibuprofen for AF and headache and backache..

Oops.

Report
Nessalina · 07/09/2013 07:35

Ibuprofen is a muscle relaxant and several studies have indicated that it can cause early miscarriage after implantation. Basically it's in the same category as booze - best to avoid from any point in the month that you could be upduffed! But if you're surfing the ERTD then I can't imagine it can do any harm. Paracetamol is always fine. Oddly codeine is ok too for serious owches (I asked my Dr coz I take it for migraine) it doesn't harm the potential baby, you just have to take it sparingly especially in last trimester as your baby can be born addicted to it if you take too much Shock

nessa
yes, that's what I thought about nurofen - which is just the brand name, generic ibuprofen has the same amount of active ingredients and much cheaper

thanks about the co- codamol info, I didn't know about it being safe in pg! but I know it is safe after birth and while bf as it was my best friend on many occasions in the early days (mastitis, pain from episiotomy, after pains)

nessa thanks for the info on cocodamol, it's good to know I can still take it when I need it.

Report
Alohomora · 07/09/2013 20:04

I'm asthmatic and have never had any issue with ibuprofen, but then I don't take painkillers often - it has to be a really bad headache for me to reach for the pills! So overall I'm not too worried about what I take as it's so rare for it to happen.

Pre-Seed is weird - v.v. sticky stuff and smells like Fenistil burn ointment.

Report
fifi669 · 07/09/2013 20:29

I was wondering whether preseed might be a good idea, I can't say I've really noticed EWCM....
