Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share and with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo;

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

The link to Part 17 is here

Happy shagging shaggers!

no grad thread link sorry, can someone else add this please?

Minion · 01/11/2013 18:25

Oh essie, im so sorry too. I've got all things crossed for nan and hoping she isn't having too much jip with the hip x
pls pass on our best xx

DulcetMoans · 01/11/2013 21:59

Oh I just looked at the group and I feel left out! Just can't out myself to friends and family; especially because of the problems so far. Don't want to have to explain it!

So sorry to see you back under such horrible circumstances nessa. Really is heart breaking. Hope your cape works quickly!

fifi669 · 01/11/2013 22:21

Dulcet we've left the group open for now but will be making it a secret group once everyone is in.

Bearfacedchic · 01/11/2013 23:36

Hello, I have intermittent Internet access where I am at the mo. Even though I was involved in the original discussion, I can't join an open group for the same reasons as others have said. When it's closed I think I should be able to. Fifi- if that's okay I'll send you a pm with my name on when it's closed and would you mind then inviting me?

Bearfacedchic · 01/11/2013 23:37

Nessa and Essie- my thoughts are with both of you. Xx

fifi669 · 02/11/2013 08:30

I think everyone is in now that can while it's open so I'll change the settings now. I think I'll have temporarily friend you on fb so I can add you to the group, don't be alarmed! Pm me your details if you want in....

EssiesInvisibleLlama · 02/11/2013 11:43

Hi all, the fb is now secret (thanks fi), which makes me happier to use it! I'm generally a bit scared of facebook really, too many people can see too much stuff. But a secret group is just that isn't it? Only we can see it? I joined freecycle, or whatever it is called these days, this weekend to get rid of some crap we had, and it automatically took the profile pic from my facebook page, which was rather alarming? No idea how it did that and I can't work out how to get rid of it?! The whole internet scares me!

Whats everyone doing this weekend?

I'm still waiting for Gran's CT results, though they did say last night it could be a blood clot, which can result from the hip op apparently. Just got to wait and see.

ERTD nearly left the building so hoping to get my halloween cape on tonight.

EssiesInvisibleLlama · 02/11/2013 11:48

p.s thanks everyone for kind wishes re my Granny. Just spoke to her on her mob (yes, she is 84 and she has a mobile and she can actually use it, the buttons on it are massive so she can see them, bless her.), she sounds very cheery.

Waggamamma · 02/11/2013 17:17

Glad to hear your granny is sounding cheery essie.

I had my ultrasound this morning and dp manged to come with me Smile but they wouldn't let him in the scan room Sad . It was all good though, they will send full report to my GP but she said she saw all of my uterus and my right ovary which was clear and the old 5cm cyst has gone Grin . She couldn't see my left ovary because of excess bowel gas Blush . Anyway feels a relief. Thanks for the virtual hand holding.

Shopping with dp this afternoon I got shoes and a handbag. Now he's off on stag do so I'm going home to collect ds and order a pizza. Smile

Redshoes56 · 02/11/2013 18:13

Hi shaggers! curly and fifi - congrats! It was so nice to come back to some BFPs. Sorry for disappearing on you all for awhile - just needed a break from everything. We are about a week away from our IVF cycle (unless there's a miracle baby brewing...), and I'm excited and nervous. I've lost 15 pounds total - I still need medical clearance, but I can move forward, so am feeling pretty good overall.

Sorry to hear your bad news, nessa and essie. Thanks

AuntieMaggie · 02/11/2013 18:49

Sorry about your bad news Nessa and Essie Flowers

Congratulations Fifi :)

I keep getting distracted with the xmas threads...

Well, CD35 here and no sign of ertd Hmm I had some cramping last week and some pink discharge (sorry for the tmi) but not a sausage... I can't be pg because we only did it once this month (fecking ill DP) and it was at the wrong time. I have no idea how i'm supposed to predict and book bloods when my cycle messes me around like this!

Anyway, good luck to everyone else here - hope you're all having a good time icing Wink

EssiesInvisibleLlama · 02/11/2013 19:21

Maggie, I based my day 21 bloods on the day which was most likely to be 7 days pre ERTD, which in my case was day 24 I think. Analyst DH helped me work it out and turned out we were right cos I got a good result which showed I iced. So ignore any dr who tells you (as they did me) that it must be on day 21, thats crap. It needs to be on your most likely correct day. My cycles vary from 25-35 days, so there was an element of luck in my getting the right day, but I analysed my cycles for the last 12 months and worked out which day was most consistently 7 days pre ERTD for me.

Gran has had the results of her CT and she has 3 blood clots on her lung which are a result of the hip replacement op (not sure how that works but apparently they are sure thats the cause). She has to stay in on anti-coagulants (spelling - sorry), but she should be fine to leave hospital early next week. I've been a bit of a wobbly mess today but feeling better now we know what's wrong. Bloody love my Gran, my family is a bit of a mess, but she is an absolute treasure.

Red, wow, that seems to have come around really quick (probably doesn't feel like that for you)! Keep us posted with how you get on. I'll be keeping everything crossed for you, though also hoping there is a secret miracle baby brewing for you.

Wagga, great news on your ultrasound. Glad you are feeling relieved.

Nothing much to report here. We were going to go to fireworks but its blowing a hoolie and I can't be arsed to go back outside in it so going to watch strictly with a G&T and the cat on my lap instead. Rock and roll.

lil1ady · 02/11/2013 23:59

cI'm twotting but not really focussed on ttc atm As I may be jobless. can't say any more than that really for fear of outing but needless to say I feel pretty bummed about it Sad

Redshoes56 · 03/11/2013 02:23

Thanks for all the good wishes, ladies! essie it actually does feel quick to me as well, surprisingly. It would be so, so nice to share positive news at the Christmas! My in-laws know we saw an RE (they had a hard time conceiving DH, but I haven't told my parents anything so they will be SHOCKED when we do get pregnant. They've given up on us, ha. Can't wait to see their faces Grin

Redshoes56 · 03/11/2013 02:24

At THE Christmas? Why did I type that? I think I was debating between typing "the holidays" and "Christmas."

Redshoes56 · 03/11/2013 02:24

lil gosh I think I missed something but so sorry to hear about your job - that's no good! Sad

AuntieMaggie · 03/11/2013 10:28

Essie thanks. luckily my gp said the same as you (she understands pcos and fertility stuff so i'm really lucky).

Minion · 03/11/2013 15:55

Ummmm so after a week of horrid penny mouth, big sore breadsticks and no pre ERTD cramping, I tested with one of those cheap 2 for a quid dip sticks. Nothin within time frame so went to bed as have been having horrendous insomnia this week.
2 hours later check on it again, as you do.
There's a faint line.
Ooooeeeemmmmmgeeeeee.
Gonna wait for a few more days to see again.
Not allowing myself to get excited much

ZingWantsCake · 03/11/2013 17:08

cookielove · 03/11/2013 17:30

Oh wow congratulations minion the only thing you can possibly do is test again :)

DulcetMoans · 03/11/2013 17:54

Oh sounding exciting minion, look forward to hearing about the next test! Can you really wait another few days or will we see you back here tomorrow morning!?

Currently having a minor breakdown as work commitments are meaning we are missing ovulation time. I'm so angry but no where to direct it as it's not his fault! This is just never going to happen!

Everything crossed for you red! And congrats on the 15lb, that's excellent! How exciting to think you could tell the family at Christmas!

EssiesInvisibleLlama · 03/11/2013 18:54

yay Minion! Keep us posted. Got everything crossed for you!

I am being a domestic goddess and have spent the last afternoon of my week off making a chicken and leek pie FROM SCRATCH, pastry and all. Smug emoticon.

Dulcet I know how you feel. I reckon we have missed ov time about 50% of the time in the past 12 months due to either work, or sporting injuries! Grr!

Redshoes56 · 03/11/2013 19:02

Oooh sounds promising, minion! Everything is crossed. Don't keep us waiting too long!

Essie your pie sounds delicious - share the recipe, please, if you don't mind :) I have brownies in the oven currently and just made some salted caramel sauce to drizzle on top once they come out. We are visiting friends tonight - always a good excuse to bake full-fat, from-scratch, chocolately delights.
