Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share and with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo;

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

The link to Part 17 is here

Happy shagging shaggers!

no grad thread link sorry, can someone else add this please?

Sorry I fell off the face of the earth, viroids! I have been buried at work and also just needed to take a break from .... well, everything having to do with babies and pee sticks and so on and so forth. Feeling good now; think my IVF cycle will be scheduled for November!

Now I have to read backward as I am sure I have missed things (hopefully lots of BFPs?)!

lil1ady · 11/10/2013 07:50

hi red November is so close! so pleased for you.

I poas yesterday afternoon 13dpo bfn
I poas this morning fmu 14dpo bfn

so I guess I'll just not worry about the big Wine weekend I have coming up and wait for the witch to but in and spoil it Sad

pizzaqueen · 11/10/2013 08:41

Good news about ivf so soon red. Sorry about the bfn lil1ady.

been quiet around here recently hasn't it?

I've been feelinh crap and having lots of ttc and health related anxiety so have bit the bullet and booked a docs appointment. I want to ask about uterine fibriods (last scan showed a 5cm cyst in my uterus) I was told not to worry about it but have read tgen can cause miscarriage and infertility. Also want to ask about my thyroid as I have some classic symtoms ans my dad has problems with him.
I'm I won't be taken seriously as my last gp was so dismissive about everything, but this is a new one. Also I'm 24 and just think they'll shrug me off and tell me to lose weight.

cookielove · 11/10/2013 14:33

Hello all Smile

Sorry that you have had two BFN's lil but yay for the wine!!

Red good to hear that you have a start date for ivf, did they give you odds for your chances of conceiving?

I kinda have good news, my AF showed up this morning i was told it was going to start 4-6 weeks after my operation but it has come on 11 days later. I'm gonna do a separate thread just to see if i should be worried or not. We were gonna wait for AF to show up before we start trying again, but we will probably have to wait now for the next one instead, just to get the dates right for the wedding!

Happy Friday everyone Grin

pizzaqueen · 11/10/2013 19:15

cookie I didn't have the op (natural mc) but I got my af about one week after I got bfn. And have settled into 28 day cycle since then. If you're sure it's af then nothing to worry about it can come sooner for some people.

DulcetMoans · 11/10/2013 21:08

Great news on IVF dates red! Do you have to do much prep to get there? Don't think you missed any BFPs unfortunately...

Hope the wine helps take your mind off it lil but fx for a better result over the weekend!

Hope the docs appointment helps put your mind at rest. Sometimes you can't get rid of the fear of there being something wrong so going to docs is the best solution. Even if it just rules things out.

Sorry your good news is still a bit of sad news cookie but hopefully it's over soon for you.

Nessalina · 12/10/2013 11:50

It's all gone very quiet on here ladies! Hope everyone is ok. Smile

Redshoes56 · 12/10/2013 17:39

It IS quiet! dulcet, I am mostly just losing as much more weight as I can beforehand. I am down 12-13 pounds do far. I am slightly above the BMI limit for my clinic, but I can still proceed as long as I get medical clearance. So I have to go see my primary at some point for that.

Once my next cycle starts (next week unless we have a miracle bfp on deck!), they'll start processing paperwork and sit down with me to go over the schedule. The fun will start day 3 of the following cycle, so mid-November. 10 days of birth control pills to down-regulate my hormones followed by fun daily injections. And daily bloodwork and ultrasounds. Egg retrieval would be first week of December likely. Christmas could be really wonderful! Or really the opposite if it fails. Nervous but excited.

I looked back out of curiosity and realized I have been on these threads for over a year! So many bfps and rough times, too. Hang in there ladies. It has to work out for all of us :)

Redshoes56 · 12/10/2013 17:43

cookie at my clinic, average birth rates per cycle are 65% for my age group, above our national average. Doctor seems confident. So I feel pretty positive!

AuntieMaggie · 12/10/2013 18:32

Hello ladies :) How are we all doing? I've been distracted with work and xmas shopping.

No news here except I think I'm due to ovulate any day now but DP has a chest infection Angry I told him not to get ill!

FX for you Red

DulcetMoans · 12/10/2013 19:08

I think it's quiet as we have no news! Lol. No BFPs or much exciting.

Well done on the weight loss red, I know it's so tough but what an incentive. Sounds like you will have a lot to do in Nov though, fx for you. Or even better, a BFP waiting to come out this week. I'm due on 17th so will find out either way this week too!

Maybe a nice symptom spotting conversation will get us chatting again. Anyone? Symptoms? I have a sore back but think that's probably from an exercise class on Thursday.

Redshoes56 · 12/10/2013 20:05

I had some weird cramps last night, which I've 90 percent chalked up to impending doom and 10 percent to something more promising. DH is walking around the house insisting that "we did it this time!" but he sort of does that every month, bless him :)

lil1ady · 12/10/2013 20:13

sorry viroids. I'm away for the weekend but AF showed up about 20mins before I left yesterday. fooking typical but at least I can enjoy the Wine guilt free!

DulcetMoans · 12/10/2013 22:41

I guess at least it was before you left rather than 20mims after you left lil. Disappointing for you though, hope you can drown any sorrow in wine!

Bless you DH red, hopefully his optimism is well worth it! When would you be due?

fifi669 · 13/10/2013 15:31

Had an excellent weekend away with old uni mates, all relaxed, feeling optimistic and confident that I can do anything I want really! 50 minutes away from home on the coach, really looking forward to seeing DS/DP, missed them like crazy.

Going back for a nice week off which just happens to coincide with FW and some Jsing :) life is good

Redshoes56 · 13/10/2013 15:57

fifi so glad to hear you had a fab weekend! :)

duclet due any day now, and have started spotting ... DH is more disappointed than I am, poor thing.

Have just eaten a big piece of homemade carrot cake for breakfast, so need to go for a nice walk later to counterbalance.

DulcetMoans · 13/10/2013 18:01

Oh so sorry red. Maybe DH needs the wine and biscuits today. At least there is a plan of action! A dreary day like this deserves cake for breakfast anyway.

Yay for positivity fifi! Make the most of the week off too, keep the happy thoughts.

Minion · 13/10/2013 18:03

More shaggers (morning here in cancun).
Not much the report at my end either. Starting to get the feelings of icing tho so as soon as home I'm putting in overtime. Project must get upduffed so I don't work Christmas day will finally get underway.
Tho icing pains seem a little early this month. So that's typical.

EssiesInvisibleLlama · 14/10/2013 15:42

Hi everyone.

Nothing major to report here either. I'm opking this cycle to time my blood test, and been getting steadily darker line for last few days, which is encouraging, some part of me appears to be functioning, hopefully!

Hi Red nice to see you, sorry it looks like ERTD is looming though. Cake is a good distraction.

Our wedding anniversarry is a couple of weeks away and DH tells me he has booked a surprise. We have the week off so I am rather excited!

Luff to all. x

EssiesInvisibleLlama · 14/10/2013 15:44

Minion, I've never had icing pain, or rather, I've never been able to isolate a particular twinge as icing over other random symptom spotting pains! Hope you get home in time to catch it.

DulcetMoans · 14/10/2013 21:32

What a good husband essie! He gets points for that, any clues in where you're going?

Hope you can keep the egg until you are home minion! How would you get Christmas off? Just interested! Lol.

Bearfacedchic · 14/10/2013 23:02

Hello everyone! Sorry I dropped off the face of the earth too. I wasn't with Red though. Grin have just been ridiculously busy with work. Got hols from Friday though and can't wait. I'm exhausted! Ertd is here at the mo but back on the wagon from the weekend . . . just in time for DH to head off overseas. Might have enough time for some shaggies before he goes though.

Sorry to all the Ertds that have appeared. How's everyone doing? Glad to hear you have a countdown now Red- very exciting for you!

Minion · 15/10/2013 06:40

Back home, ready to catch an egg hopefully. Wish it was made of chocolate tho, I'm hank marvin!
I'd get Chrimbo off as when your pg you get grounded and put into the office and they don't open on the day.
Just us poor flyers who do.. Ho hum, grumble grumble.

Ooh a birthday surprise, you have any clues?

EssiesInvisibleLlama · 15/10/2013 09:30

No idea what surprise is Dulcet, but its 2 days and a night and I had to book someone in to feed the neddie, so we are going away somewhere. Yay!

Can you not even apply to a ballot or anything to have Christmas off Minion? Hope it works out that you get up duffed AND get Christmas off work though. So does it mean (excuse me being dim) that you have to tell your employer the moment you get a BFP? Does that then mean all your colleagues suss it out?

Don't worry, choc eggs will be in the shops soon! Nom, I'd love a creme egg now, though 9.30am is a bit early never too early.

Bear, lovely to see you. Are you doing anything with your hols?
