Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share and with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo;

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

The link to Part 17 is here

Happy shagging shaggers!

no grad thread link sorry, can someone else add this please?

When are you due ERTD essie? I discussed when to go with my doc and she said its day 21 because that's, in theory, 7 days after icing. My theory is I ice later than average so she advised me to go later. Went on day 23 I think. Do you have an idea when you ice? I can see its tough when you vary so much.

Did you discuss other tests? I had my cd2-5 test this morning. Just urine test to go for me now!

lil1ady · 23/09/2013 21:07

thanks Essie nice to know its not just me having different things in different cycles. although the ewcm seems to be back! odd

if your cycles are normally 32-34 days I'd base est for 21day test on those. do you have any idea what your literal phase is? if you do you could estimate what day you normally ice and count seven days from there and see where it falls compared to days you can get appointment. I'd think better to do it a day or so late rather than early so the prog levels are at least what they should be. not that I know anything about these tests though!

dh has pleaded that we DTD tomorrow not tonight. then the ewcm shows up. great! that'll be another cycle out the window

Redshoes56 · 23/09/2013 21:08

Hmmm, if they won't take you 7 days after ice like dulcet says, maybe go on Day 21 as prescribed but make sure they note the average variance in your cycles so they can take that into account? The female body sure is tricky, isn't it? They are the ones with the medical degrees, surely they can figure it out..... or we can hope! It sounds good though, Essie, that they are going to get the testing underway. Sounds like you had a good, restorative weekend!

Just got back from our followup. The recommendation was as expected - IVF with ICSI. I feel really relieved though, almost lighter and less stressed now that I have some answers and a clear direction. She assured my DH that 0% morphology does not mean game over and that they would definitely find good swimmers in there. She also assured me that even if I do have a septate uterus and need surgery, it is a simple procedure (I have my saline sono Thursday to find out) - and we can do IVF almost immediately after.

Can I still hang out with you shaggers even though my maybe baby is going to come from a petri dish?! Grin

QuarksInAPearTickle · 23/09/2013 21:19

Bit late but congrats bludger on the BFP!

Flowers to every

QuarksInAPearTickle · 23/09/2013 21:20

.....one else that got ERTD. Sad

My ERTD won't leave the building. Getting impatient now!

DulcetMoans · 23/09/2013 21:27

You sound quite positive about it red, it's good to have a plan of action but quite a lot to take in I bet. Please stick around though, we like to keep up and I'm sure you'll just shag anyway!

It's not necessarily out of the game lil! Just get on as early as poss tomorrow!

Just been talking to DH about SA. I think he's less keen now the time is getting nearer.

QuarksInAPearTickle · 23/09/2013 21:32

Oh sorry lots of posts popped up that weren't there before I posted. Please do hang around red you sound very positive and fingers crosse for a Petri dish baby! The scientist in me actually thinks that is quite cool! I am a total geek!

lil1ady · 23/09/2013 21:44

glad you are feeling good about things red. definitely stick around!

dulcet there is no way I'll be getting any until tomorrow evening if he keeps tonights veto in place. we are both terribly lazy in the morning, its all we can do to get to work on time so a shag is out of the question! hopefully the lack of ewcm until today means I have time though.

sorry ertd is hanging around quark. still more time for Wine Grin

Redshoes56 · 23/09/2013 21:48

I feel very positive, although I am sure I'll start to freak out once it all really sets in. I was expecting this, though, and I'm at peace with it. I like the science behind it too, and I also rather like the higher chances of success versus artificial insemination or just keeping on our fruitless "natural" path. It doesn't hurt that his insurance will pay. Otherwise I'd probably feel a lot less positive about this. Right now, it's a no-brainer.

I do need to lose a few more pounds probably, but she was very happy to hear that I've taken off 8 already.

lil1ady · 23/09/2013 22:35

um....when a man is standing in the way of your bfp, guilt is the perfect ingredient for success. not obvious not meanly, just a quick comment that says I'm fine apart from....lil1ady is now a little happier Grin

Redshoes56 · 23/09/2013 23:33

Nice work lil!

DulcetMoans · 24/09/2013 11:13

So the earliest appointment for a SA is 11.30am and it has to be there with them within an hour so he has to do it about 10.30am on a weekday when he needs to be at work. We don't really have any holiday because of the honeymoon so feel a bit stuck... Don't suppose I can just fridge it...? Any experience?

pizzaqueen · 24/09/2013 13:28

No expierence dulcet but i reckon fridging it would kill the swimmers?

Can he not take a half day and say he has dentists/doctors appt?

Glad to hear you sounding so positive red

DP found my contraband OPKs and asked if i was doing pregnancy tests when i explained what they are he thought i was totally mental and got a bit pissed off with me for putting too much pressure on ttc. I actually cannot think of anything else, my mind is completely occupied by it Blush. It's my fertile window just now but we haven't dtd yet and that's dp at work all week til 11pm now.

No ewcm either, but have started taking evening primrose and starflower oil daily and it seems to have helped with the quanitity of the wet stuff just not the quality. Will wait and see.

Also lost 4.8lbs last week, so happy with that, still the heaviest I've ever been and a long way to go though.

Redshoes56 · 24/09/2013 13:44

Yeah, pizza is right dulcet - you actually have to keep them as warm as you can on the way there (last time I drove the cup over in my bra - true story). I'd just have him call out sick or feign car trouble or something. Gotta get the swimmers over there fast!

Nice work on the weight loss, pizza! It's hard work, but it feels good to be going in the right direction, I know.

fifi669 · 24/09/2013 13:48

Anyone else TWOTting? I think I'm 5dpo, app says PMT will hit in 4 days...... Must warn DP

Minion · 24/09/2013 15:43

Twotting here too. There should be a few of us as we've all synced!
I'm 4dpo and nothing new to report. Just some tingling nips. Thankfully my icing spots are going, man, I was spotastic this month.
Does anyone else get them? I nearly had to book 2 extra places at a table at a wedding I wnt to, on Sunday, just to fit them in.
I'm exhausted.
So happy that the extremely hard summer season is on its way out. I love when winter rolls around. No night flights, get to go back to goa and the passengers are so much nicer.
Bring on November!

cookielove · 24/09/2013 16:30

Hello all. I've always been keeping my eye on this thread, sad to say that I will be joining back with you lot as a scan this morning revealed my baby died at 8 + weeks.

I'll be back in a few weeks.

Redshoes56 · 24/09/2013 16:43

Oh, cookie, I am so sorry Sad ThanksThanksThanks
We are here when you are ready.

pizzaqueen · 24/09/2013 16:49

so sorry cookie. it's devestating. Thanks hope you are being kind to yourself.

minion never heard of icing spots but I have a couple just now, I wonder if that's what it is? I usually break out right before af.

Minion · 24/09/2013 16:52

Oh cookie love, I'm truly sorry for you and your partner.
Lots of hugs and tea, cake and love.
We're waiting her for you when you are ready to return xxx

EssiesInvisibleLlama · 24/09/2013 16:55

oh cookie, I'm so sorry, that's so sad. We're here with Brew and Cake when you are ready.

Thanks everyone for advice re day 21 test, will post properly tonight.

cookielove · 24/09/2013 18:08

I'm having my emrc on Tuesday, so I think after I get my first period back. I'll be back here with my shiny new Cape.

Trying not to think of the loss :(

lil1ady · 24/09/2013 18:52

oh cookie so sorry. just when you think you've won life throws another punch. Thanks

interesting about icing spots....I'm covered atm, almost back to teenage levels. should have iced early this week but nothing yet so hopefully the spots are a good sign. think stress could be causing delayed ovulation Sad

looking forward to your full post Essie Grin

who was fridging swimmer's? dulcet?
that made me laugh. I have no idea but if they say u have to get them there quick make him pull a Sicky or say drs app...if anyone sees him out he will at least be heading to the drs!

DulcetMoans · 24/09/2013 19:23

Oh cookie that is so awful. Sorry you are going through that, it's not fair at all. We are here to hold your hand and help you with the new cape when you are ready.

Yeah, it was me talking about fridging it but I think red is right, warm is more important than cold. Happily store it in my bra, but the timings are really not customer friendly. It's a bit difficult with DH job, works for small company and they don't really do sick days. He's checking his holiday days so hopefully there's a spare we can use.

Congrats on the weight lose pizza but sorry DP was so mean about the TTC stuff. None of us want to cause pressure to the DPs but they take it all so personally sometimes!

No icing spots here but plenty just before ERTD. Had my glasses on this week to hide one on my nose!

pizzaqueen · 24/09/2013 20:04

I think I might be just about to ice! loads watery cm today, right side pain, noticable line on opk. cd15 so a few days earlier than usual. wonder if I can stay awake for dp getting home at 11pm. hate his shifts so much!
